"You're really asking the impossible."
Finally, John Chou spoke. Deathcurse nodded and continued.
"The reason we ended up here and summoned them over is because they've set up a passage of light around us. In this world, they possess a radiance that only the living can have. The darkness absorbs all light, and once the passage is formed, we get pulled into this darkness as well."
Redhair growled fiercely, and this time Deathcurse stood up.
Yuna Ji immediately spoke. I stared at her, astonished. Deathcurse nodded.
My heart jolted, and I shot to my feet in shock.
We haven't even begun to untangle this mess, and now we have to go back. None of us want that. Even though I'm still playing Deathbane Ghost to keep Xu Fu busy, he probably already senses something.
Mona Ouyang added with a wicked smile, and Deathcurse nodded.
"What about moonlight?"
I asked quickly, looking at Basil Bertram. He smiled helplessly, and Deathcurse replied.
"Of course not. When we came, we used a passage of daylight. To go back, we have to return to the sunlight. Otherwise, we'll be shredded at the border of time."
As Deathcurse spoke, he looked at Yvonne May. She nodded.
"There's no way something like that exists in this world. If we can't get it, we'll have to steal it from those Dark Banquet bastards."
Redmond said fiercely, and this time Deathcurse stood up.
"There's no time. Xu Fu is already back, and he's getting suspicious."
My heart skipped a beat and I stood up in surprise.
We haven't even sorted out the mess, and now we have to go back. None of us want this. Even though I'm still pretending to be Deathbane Ghost to deal with Xu Fu, he probably already suspects something.
"What should we do?"
I muttered to myself.
"Calm down, brother. Do you really think Xu Fu is on the Dark Banquet's side?"
