Fated Marriage: Butterfly Rogue (5)

2/14/2026

I am a flower-thief. Yes, I love stealing flowers. Of course, whether I do it depends on my mood—and on the target.

If she's pretty... hmm, I might consider it.

If she's rich... hmm, that's my top priority.

If she's pretty and rich... hmm, that's the absolute first choice.

Actually, I'm not an orphan—I have a family. And not just any family, but a huge, prestigious clan. My clan is glorious, respected by everyone.

Why? Because my clan guards the legendary Storm Command Token. That's why everyone admires us.

There are so many people in my clan, sometimes even I can't keep track. But no matter how many of us there are, we all have one mission: keep guarding the Storm Command Token. But me? I don't like it. I hate that mission.

Dad was furious, said I was hopeless. Whatever, whatever—if I'm such a headache, it's better if he doesn't see me at all.

So I ran away. Anyway, my clan has tons of people; losing me doesn't matter, and having me around doesn't make a difference.

Since I was little, my martial arts sucked. But I did master one thing—my light-foot skill is unbeatable. If I'm not the fastest in the martial world, then nobody else dares claim first place.

I thought, with such amazing light-foot skill, what should I do? Hmm... After thinking it over, I decided to become a flower-thief.

I've stolen countless flowers, never lingering. Every woman I 'picked' at first resisted, but once they saw my face, they were too embarrassed to fight back.

Honestly, women are all the same—obsessed with good looks. How shallow!

I thought my flower-thief career would always be like this, until I met that one unusual woman.

That day, I set my sights on an inn—a really nice one. I figured, anyone staying here had to be rich or noble.

Relying on years of experience tracking scents, I quickly figured out which rooms held men and which held women.

Hmm, the scent was light and elegant. Not bad—just the kind I like. So I quietly slipped inside.

But I didn't expect the woman to still be awake. When she saw me, she froze, then tried to speak.

'Shh! If you make a sound, I'll kill you.' Just as she was about to speak, I tapped her mute pressure point.

Now she couldn't talk, but I could clearly see her big eyes asking, Who are you? What do you want?

Looking at her, I suddenly wanted to laugh, so I said, 'I'll unlock your pressure point, but you can't scream. If you do, I'll get mad and—snap—you're done for, got it?'

She blinked her big eyes. I knew she understood, so I released her pressure point.

'Who are you?' Her first words were wary.

'Can't you tell?' I smiled and spun around on the floor.

But she just kept staring at me, still looking dazed, like she hadn't processed anything yet.

Seeing this, I couldn't help feeling a little annoyed. So I leaned in close to her face—didn't expect her to freak out and lean away. That made me want to mess with her even more, so I lifted her chin and chuckled, 'Big bro here is the famous Flower-Thief!'

'What?'

Suddenly, I frowned. Yeah, her tone was full of doubt. That kind of attitude really annoyed me, but I kept smiling to look handsome. 'What, is someone out there pretending to be the Flower-Thief now?'

'You're the Flower-Thief? Please, don't try to fool me.'

'Fool you? I don't like lying. If you don't believe me, I can steal a flower right now and show you.' She rolled her eyes, looking totally unimpressed. My momentum took a hit, so I figured I'd teach her a lesson.

'Wait, are you really the Flower-Thief?'

She suddenly clutched her chest, still looking confused as she asked.

I smiled faintly and nodded.

'Then do you have an eye disease?'

I was stunned. What was that supposed to mean?

Maybe she saw my unhappy face, so she quickly explained, 'Oh, don't get me wrong. I just mean—aren't flower-thieves supposed to target beauties? I'm so ugly, and you still picked me?'

I was speechless. Couldn't believe she'd say that, so I nodded along, 'Hmm, good point. Guess I'll just kill you then!' I whipped out my special robbery knife and waved it in front of her.

She panicked and blurted out, 'Actually... I'm really beautiful. Uh, I have inner beauty!'

'Inner beauty? Uh, I don't see it,' I said, totally baffled.

'Come on, if I wasn't beautiful inside, I would've screamed ages ago, okay? Plus, I have calm beauty—look, even facing the Flower-Thief, I can stay this calm.'
