Fiend Palace Lord’s Persuasion

There’s a big difference between Heavenly-Immortal fourth tier and third tier—especially in reaction speed. The moment that fissure appeared, the opponent sensed something dangerous flying toward Evan Yang.

He quickly retreated, raising another earth wall to block the flying needles. The needles struck the wall but couldn’t penetrate.

“Quick reflexes,” Evan Yang muttered to himself.

The Heavenly-Immortal fourth-tier sneered, “Kid, looks like you’re only fit to challenge Heavenly-Immortal third-tier. You’ve got no hope against fourth-tier! Let me represent everyone and cripple you now.”

His words fired everyone up. Nobody wanted to lose to a low-ranked Evan Yang—it’d be humiliating. They’d rather have the second-place contender, Quinn Qing, take his spot.

But Evan Yang showed no fear. He smiled and said, “Want to cripple me? You’d better see if you’re up to it.”

“Up to it? I’ll show you right now.” The man sneered. As he spoke, a stream of condensed earth surged from beneath Evan Yang’s feet.

Evan Yang immediately recognized the move. He leaped up, but the earth kept spreading below, aiming to cover the whole area and keep him from landing. At the same time, the Heavenly-Immortal fourth-tier man hurled stone spears.

Those stone spears weren’t as tough as magic treasures, but they were still hard as iron. One or two wouldn’t matter, but as more kept coming, the situation got dangerous.

Sitting in the stands, Hannah Nangong looked worried. Beside her, the Fiend Palace Lord smiled and said, “Looks like he won’t make it past this round.”
