Inside the "Sanctuary" of the Heart of the World, Night Doll handed the halo to Jill Young. "Go on. He can reincarnate infinitely, so you have to seize the chance to wipe him out."
"He can come back again?" Jill took the halo. "I thought reincarnation was supposed to be difficult."
"It is difficult, but if you can't find his real body in the Quantum Network, then the length of the interval doesn't matter. The key is—" Night Doll pointed around. "Because he didn't expect I'd kick him out, I still have pretty high command authority here in the Heart of the World."
"Oh!" Jill perked up, eyes sparkling. "So why not just give the order and make everyone behave?"
"I tried, but no luck." Night Doll shook her head. "He’s back in the Quantum Network, hooked up to the Heart of the World’s main brain. Given enough time, he can mess with my command privileges. First thing, he wiped out my broadcast authority, and he’s still at it. If we were face-to-face, I could probably make the soldiers drop their weapons. But wait a bit longer, and who knows."
"Then what are we waiting for? I’ll go deal with him!" Not wasting a second, Jill slapped the halo onto her head. Right before diving into the Quantum Network, she turned and grinned at Night Doll. "This time, I can really trust you, right?"
Night Doll smiled too, repeating something she’d said before: "I’ll protect you from the outside."
Jill swaggered over to a plush chair in the center of the hall, flopped down, closed her eyes, and dove headfirst into the wild world of the Quantum Network. As far as timing went, Jill was right on Victor Nightfall’s tail, so the moment she arrived, she powered up to Super Saiyan 2, looked up at the sky, and let out a thunderous roar: "Victor! Night! Fall!"
In the vast, lonely Quantum World, Victor Nightfall’s voice echoed everywhere: "Oh, I didn’t think you’d actually chase me in here. But you’ve made a colossal mistake. Not only can’t you touch me, you’re stuck here at my mercy! In this world, I’m God!"
"That tone…" Jill winced. "Don’t tell me… you’re… that ‘Chuang’ guy…"
"That's right, I'm Chuang! I've been haunting the Quantum Network for a hundred years—I know this place like the back of my hand! Hmph, I'll let you off the hook for now in the digital world. Just give me five minutes and I'll rewrite the permissions for the Heart of the World mainframe, and then you're toast! Hahahaha!" His maniacal laughter echoed across the sky, leaving Jill Young with a face full of black lines.
"Damn it, so that's why Night Doll said I needed Owen's help!" Facing Chuang in the Quantum Network world—there's literally zero chance of winning. Never mind a head-to-head fight; these guys who treat computer programs like magic tricks could dodge me all day long.
"What do I do, what do I do!" Jill Young anxiously scratched her head. "Should I just go look for Owen again? But that guy might not help me, and I only have five minutes!"
Just then, another voice rang out: "Chief Jill Young, don't worry—I have a plan."
In a flash, Jill Young vanished, only to reappear atop a towering mountain in the Quantum Land. Standing on the peak was a sturdy Asian man—the very one who'd just spoken.
"Who are you?" Jill Young cut straight to the chase.
"Kimberly." Kimberly replied just as succinctly.
"So how are you gonna help me?" Right now, Jill Young didn't have time to worry about Kimberly's life-or-death situation.
Kimberly waved at the void: "Come out." The next moment, a familiar dark-skinned uncle appeared in a flash of light—it was Owen. "Show everything you've got. Help Ms. Jill Young with all your strength, got it?" Kimberly talked to Owen like he was scolding a kid. But to Jill Young's surprise, Owen actually caved. He looked a bit grumpy, but still nodded: "Alright..."
Then Owen said to Jill Young, "Given that this gentleman can bankrupt the entire Quantum Network and shut down every server, I've decided—after some careful thought—to help you out."
