News from the Chaos Realm

12/19/2025

"Greetings, fellow Daoist. It seems your beast companion may have misunderstood us earlier and collided with our void skyship. We truly mean no harm; we only wished to deliver some news. Unexpectedly, your beast directly crashed into our void skyship." The courteous Prime Realm cultivator standing atop the void skyship clasped his fists and addressed Joe Di.

Cason Xian quickly said, "Fellow Daoist, you probably haven’t been to the Chaos Realm, have you? Or perhaps you haven’t visited in the past fifty thousand years."

Joe Di was so young, and not only did he possess such a formidable beast companion, but he also controlled a top-grade flying artifact. On top of that, Joe Di’s ability to conceal his cultivation was so profound that even he couldn’t discern Joe Di’s true strength. Clearly, Joe Di must come from a powerful background and hold considerable status.

He had originally planned to ask Charlotte Ling to take him to the Chaos Realm. Rumor had it that the Chaos Realm was full of treasures, and many experts had proven their Dao within. He was certainly late in going, but late was better than never.

Joe Di could already tell that the Prime Realm cultivator before him bore no killing intent; it didn’t seem like he was trying to seize his flying artifact. The collision this time was likely because Lightning had charged into them of its own accord.

Joe Di had originally planned to exchange a few words and leave, but Cason Xian’s explanation had piqued his interest. "Daoist Cason, please enlighten me further."

Cason Xian explained, "Fifty thousand years ago, for reasons unknown, a layer of gray mist suddenly appeared around the Chaos Realm. The mist seemed ordinary, but after it appeared, any cultivator who entered never returned. Over time, no one dared to go in anymore.

Just then, Xianhai produced a new material called Extreme Glaze Silver. Its quality varies, with grade three being the lowest and grade seven divine material being the highest discovered so far. Armor forged from Extreme Glaze Silver can be worn to pass through the gray mist and enter the Chaos Realm. Of course, there are time limits—the longer you stay, the greater the risk of never returning."

He was, after all, a master artifact refiner capable of crafting top-grade artifacts, yet he had never heard of Extreme Glaze Silver. Was it a material or something else? Judging by the name, it seemed to be a type of material.

"Since you’re unfamiliar with Extreme Glaze Silver, you probably haven’t heard of the Chaos Realm either," Cason Xian said.

"That’s right. The higher the grade of Extreme Glaze Silver, the longer the armor will last. In fact, I’m returning this time specifically to deliver Extreme Glaze Silver for someone else, as well as some invitations," Cason Xian replied.

Joe Di asked in puzzlement, "Daoist Cason, why are you telling me all this?"

Joe Di nodded, "That’s right, I’ve never been to the Chaos Realm."

He had originally planned to ask Charlotte Ling to take him to the Chaos Realm. Rumor had it that the Chaos Realm was full of treasures, and many experts had proven their Dao within. He was certainly late in going, but late was better than never.

Cason Xian wasn’t surprised. "It’s as I thought. The Chaos Realm is filled with treasures, and over the years countless cultivators have searched it over and over. Even so, there are always new opportunities to be found. But fifty thousand years ago, entry to the Chaos Realm became impossible—except by using Extreme Glaze Silver..."

If not for the matter concerning the Chaos Realm, Joe Di wouldn’t have cared much about Xianhai.

"So you use Extreme Glaze Silver to forge armor, then enter the Chaos Realm?" Joe Di frowned in thought. He’d heard of the Chaos Realm, but didn’t truly understand it. What he knew was all thanks to Charlotte Ling.

According to his original plans, he was to go to Alliance Star first, then seek out Nora in the Primordial World. After that, he would head for the Chaos Realm—but now he was being told entry was impossible.

"That’s right. The higher the grade of Extreme Glaze Silver, the longer the armor will last. In fact, I’m returning this time specifically to deliver Extreme Glaze Silver for someone else, as well as some invitations," Cason Xian replied.

Joe Di asked in puzzlement, "Daoist Xian, why are you telling me all this?"

No one offers kindness without reason; if not a crook, then a thief. Joe Di would never mistake this for an empty platitude—he had seen far too much of the world.

Cason Xian smiled and said, "It’s because a new secret realm has appeared in Xianhai, and it’s speculated that there may be a large quantity of high-grade Extreme Glaze Silver within. One year from now is the day our young lady is to be betrothed, which is also when the secret realm will open. Seeing you command a top-grade flying artifact, I thought you must be someone extraordinary, so I came especially to invite you. If you’re free, you may come to the secret realm a year from now and see for yourself."

After speaking, Cason Xian courteously produced a gold invitation card.

If not for the matter concerning the Chaos Realm, Joe Di wouldn’t have cared much about Xianhai.

At this moment, however, Joe Di accepted the invitation without hesitation and said, "Thank you. A year from now, I’ll definitely make a trip to Xianhai. I just don’t know how to get there."

Regardless of whether Cason Xian’s invitation was out of goodwill or malice, he was determined to go to Xianhai.

"You can find the location of Xianhai on the invitation card," Cason Xian said enthusiastically when he saw Joe Di accept the invitation.

He was certain that Joe Di had an extraordinary background; only cultivators of such standing visiting Xianhai would allow the Xian Family to make more powerful connections.

Joe Di’s divine sense swept over the invitation card; sure enough, there was a faint void map inscribed with array patterns. Clearly, this invitation wasn’t something just anyone could make.

"Thank you, Daoist Xian. I have some matters to attend to, but as long as time permits, I’ll definitely make a trip to Xianhai." Joe Di put away the gold invitation and cupped his fists in thanks.

"The Xian Family will certainly welcome you warmly." After another polite phrase, Cason Xian asked, "May I ask how I should address you, Fellow Daoist?"

"My name is Joe Di." After telling Cason Xian his name, Joe Di took his leave.

The distance to Alliance Star was not far now. Controlling his Skyshuttle, Joe Di arrived at the outskirts of Alliance Star in just a month and a half.

To Joe Di’s surprise, Alliance Star had no protective array, nor was it guarded by anyone. A place with the Alliance Dao Tower shouldn’t be so plain.

Joe Di came here for the Cosmic Essence and to find Quentin Nie to rescue Cassie Key. Whether Alliance Star was plain or not was of no concern to him. It was a pity Yvette Yi hadn’t come along; if she had, she’d certainly be more familiar with this place than he was.

Upon entering Alliance Star, Joe Di felt as if the planet had only one city. Beneath his feet lay Alliance Star Plaza, vast and expansive, with countless streets radiating outward from its edges.

What surprised Joe Di was that Alliance Star Plaza was anything but desolate; cultivators bustled everywhere, and the atmosphere was lively.

The most eye-catching sight was a towering spire that pierced straight into the clouds. Joe Di saw many cultivators entering this high tower. There were no other buildings around it; in front of the tower stood a white stone tablet. The tablet seemed to shimmer faintly, likely reflecting the circumstances of the cultivators within the tower.

Joe Di’s gaze fell upon the tower. He surmised that this must be the Alliance Dao Tower.

The Alliance Dao Tower was certainly a place one ought to enter, but for Joe Di, the most pressing matter now was not entering the tower—it was finding out where the Nie Clan was.

Joe Di’s divine sense swept unrestrainedly across the area, breaking through the restrictions of many cultivators’ abodes.

Though Joe Di’s actions were exceedingly brazen, no one dared to step forward and say a word about it.

There was no need to ask—everyone knew Joe Di was a ruthless figure, the kind who actively sought trouble. Otherwise, who would so recklessly use their divine sense to break the restrictions on others’ dwellings?

Within half a stick of incense, Joe Di’s divine sense landed inside the City Lord’s Mansion. Though its exterior seemed rather ordinary, the spiritual energy swirling within was clearly the finest cultivation spot on Alliance Star.

In the most luxurious dwelling of the City Lord’s Mansion, Joe Di saw a middle-aged man. The man was at the late Hunyuan stage, and his features bore a resemblance to Long Nie.

Joe Di didn’t need to ask; he knew this must be Miles Nie.
