Tripartite Division of the Netherworld

Moments after Evan Chu flew away, a young woman appeared in midair, her face streaked with tears as she cried out to the void: "Evan Chu, don’t get cocky. One day, I’ll kill you with my own hands!"

Could she really kill him? Obviously, it was impossible. Even if Evan Chu gave Cindy Cheng a hundred years, it wouldn’t matter—her current strength was nowhere near enough. Besides, Evan was her first man. Some things seem simple, but dealing with them is anything but.

Not long after, Evan Chu spotted the Nether Monarch and Faye Knox. The Nether Monarch looked much better now, and neither of them seemed surprised to see Evan—they’d always believed he would make it back.

Faye Knox glanced at Evan and immediately asked, "Evan, did you come here to get revenge on my father? I know you’re strong—he’s not your match—but if you really want to kill him, then kill me first!"

Evan smiled at Faye’s stubborn expression. "And what if I refuse? What would you do then?"

"If you refuse, I’ll kill myself right in front of you—so you’ll regret it and feel guilty for the rest of your life!" Faye declared, her face showing no hint of deceit.

"Come on, Faye, I’m your man—how could I do that? Did I ever say I’d kill him? Sure, the Nether Monarch and I have history, but that was because he got greedy for my Timewheel Bracelet back then. It’s been so long, and for your sake, I’ll let it go." Evan said helplessly.

Faye’s brows instantly lifted with joy. She threw herself into Evan’s arms, laughing, “I knew you’d understand. My father is my only family in this world—if anything happened to him, I wouldn’t know how to go on.”

Evan gently pushed Faye away and said, “Faye, I know how much he means to you. That’s why I won’t kill him. When I leave the Netherworld, at least he’ll still be by your side.”

“Thank you, Evan. Being your woman is the luckiest thing that’s ever happened to me. Even if our time together is short, I don’t regret it!” Faye said, voice trembling.

Evan glanced at the Nether Monarch and said, "Nether Monarch, for Faye’s sake, I’ll let you go. I hope you’ll take good care of her. When I find a way to free the Netherkin from their weakness to sunlight, I’ll take her away."

“Qing Shuang, you’re the only person I truly admire. Faye made the right choice, and she’s lucky to have met you. So, what do you plan to do next?” the Nether Monarch asked.

It was obvious that Zander Xiang had already been killed by Evan Chu. Now, three of the five great races had lost their strongest monarchs, and the aftermath needed to be dealt with. The Nether Monarch also wanted to see Evan’s attitude toward the Netherkin.

Evan looked at the distant sky, lost in thought. After a long pause, he said, “I’m Human too, so I won’t wipe out the Human race. Just find a new powerhouse to replace Zander Xiang as their king. The Ghost Clan—since you’ve already taken most of their territory, just merge their lands with the Netherkin.”

The Beast Clan’s territory should merge with the Shades. I hope the three races can live together in peace from now on. As for the Ghost and Beast clans, don’t slaughter them all—let their races continue to thrive in the Netherworld. I trust you understand my meaning. But if anyone still harbors ambitions of unifying the Netherworld, I won’t show mercy.

The Nether Monarch said nothing. He understood that Evan Chu’s words represented his greatest concession—Evan wasn’t truly of this world, so even if the Netherworld were destroyed, it wouldn’t matter to him. Clearly, Evan didn’t care about the Netherworld’s fate.

“Evan, don’t worry. My father really isn’t interested in ruling the Netherworld—he just wants to live happily every day. So, where are you going next? Will you come with me to Netherkin territory, or go find Princess Ivy?” Faye asked.

“Why don’t you just come with me, Faye? I know what you’re worried about, but don’t worry—no one can say anything about you. Every one of my women is equal in my heart. You and Ivy are both the same to me. If you want a wedding, I can prepare one for you right now, and I promise it won’t be any less grand than Ivy’s.” Evan said.

Faye was moved, but she refused Evan’s offer. “I won’t hold a wedding with you unless you can stay in the Netherworld—but I know that’s impossible. If we held a wedding and you left soon after, I’d be a laughingstock. I’m not that foolish.”

Isn’t it fine to quietly be your woman? As long as you’re sincere, I don’t feel wronged!

Evan looked into Faye’s determined eyes. “Faye, I promise you—if one day I have the power to take you away from the Netherworld, I’ll give you a grand wedding you’ll never forget!”

Faye nodded. “I believe you can do it. You’re the most outstanding person I’ve ever met. I’ll wait for you in the Netherworld!”

Little did anyone know, because of this promise, Faye would wait for Evan in the Netherworld for tens of thousands of years—but in the end, she would taste happiness. That story will be told later…

Afterward, Evan said to the Nether Monarch, “You’re badly injured—go back to Netherkin territory. I’ll handle the aftermath. Faye, I’m taking you with me. When I leave Netherkin lands, I don’t want anyone disturbing us.”

His words were domineering, but the Nether Monarch didn’t object. He simply told Faye, “Faye, listen to Evan. Don’t act on impulse. I’ll head back now.”

After the Nether Monarch left, Evan took Faye’s hand and flew toward Trinity Waters City. He knew the Shade Lord would be there, along with Patriarch Owen Yang and other Skyspear elites.

Evan’s sudden appearance surprised everyone, especially since he was fully recovered and accompanied by an extraordinary beauty. Many immediately recognized her—she was the Nether Monarch’s daughter, Princess Faye.

“What’s the situation with the Beast Clan? Is everyone all right?” Evan asked.

“We’ve already occupied all of the Beast King’s territory and stationed powerful experts in several cities. When should we move to take over the Ghost Clan’s lands?” the Shade Lord asked, his wounds almost healed.

“We won’t take over the Ghost Clan’s lands—leave them to the Netherkin. The Netherworld is now split into three major factions: Humans stay as they are, Shades merge with the Beasts, and Netherkin merge with the Ghosts. But don’t slaughter the Beast and Ghost races—all five races are strong, and I want them to continue thriving.” Evan said.

Although many were dissatisfied, none dared oppose him. In the face of overwhelming strength, Evan was the unquestioned king—a ruler they had no choice but to obey…
