"You're talking nonsense!" Grace put on a look of utter humiliation and swung her hand toward Cecilia Chen's face.

But Cecilia Chen was no pushover!

She grabbed Grace's hand in one swift motion, smirking, "Oh? Getting all flustered now? But you, a useless waste without a Spirit Root, actually think you can hit me?"

Grace's hand throbbed from Cecilia's grip, but inwardly, she was sneering.

She hadn't actually been trying to slap her just now.

She was trying to sprinkle a kind of powder on her.

Her conviction was so strong and her words so certain that the whole room fell silent.

Finally, Minister Zhuo asked, "Miss Chen, are you sure you haven't mistaken her for someone else? Maybe this Lily Bai just happens to look a bit like Grace?"

"It's not just a resemblance—it's her!" Cecilia Chen said, word by word. "And for the record, she's actually my savior! Even if she turned to ashes, I'd recognize her!"

"Savior?" Dowager Lady Evelyn Zhu raised an eyebrow.

Judging by Cecilia Chen's behavior, you'd think Grace was her mortal enemy, or at least someone she'd had a serious falling out with.
