Heaven’s Favor

2/14/2026

Evan Chu never expected things to turn out like this. Black Haze clearly possessed early Saint Realm cultivation, so how could he be so seriously injured just from a light touch by one of Evan’s nine law avatars?

Did Black Haze do it on purpose? No! It didn’t look like it at all—he was really, truly wounded!

“This guy is seriously terrifying!”

“But isn’t his method a bit too ruthless? The other guy just wanted a friendly spar, so why did he go so hard?”

“Better stay away from him in the future. He’s definitely not someone to mess with—looks like he’s out for revenge!”

Evan was stunned—how did he suddenly get labeled as vengeful? He honestly hadn’t expected this at all! Still, he didn’t dare waste time, and immediately channeled powerful Wood-Law through Black Haze’s body. In an instant, something miraculous happened: Black Haze’s grievous wounds vanished, leaving no trace behind!

“What the heck is going on?” Evan couldn’t believe it. He turned to Lord Thunder and said, “Junior brother, hit me with your full strength—don’t hold back!”

Evan knew Lord Thunder’s cultivation was also at mid-Saint Realm. In fact, he’d reached this level fifty thousand years ago, but had stayed in the Three Realms to watch over Evan’s growth, so his realm had never advanced further.

Even though his cultivation hadn’t improved, his comprehension had deepened greatly. Now that he was out, Lord Thunder was fully qualified to break through to late Saint Realm at any moment!

“Alright!” Lord Thunder knew Evan wasn’t someone who would act reckless—if he said to do this, there must be a good reason.

So, the power of Thunder Punishment, accompanied by scattered starlight, erupted as Lord Thunder drew directly on the force of Stellar Thunder. Boom! A terrifying attack slammed into Evan’s back.

Evan didn’t dodge—he took the blow head-on. Instantly, the flesh on his back exploded, blood pouring out uncontrollably. He then used Wood-Law power to heal himself, exactly as he had done for Black Haze.

But to Evan’s shock, such a vast surge of Wood-Law couldn’t heal his wounds immediately. Only when he fully controlled the Wood-Law did his injuries gradually begin to mend!

So terrifying!

The others couldn’t make sense of it, but Henry Lin? He was a powerhouse leagues above this level—he saw through Evan’s secrets at a glance!

“Good! Worthy of—” Henry Lin was about to say ‘worthy of being the Third Person,’ but instantly remembered this identity must never be exposed, so he cut himself off.

“Heh! Kid, you’ve got some real skills—impressive!” Henry Lin patted Evan’s shoulder. Everyone on the star-boat was left confused. What did all this mean?

Evan smiled, facing everyone. “It’s nothing special—I just realized my power is different from yours. At the same realm, I might actually be invincible. I didn’t control my strength well and ended up hurting Brother Black Haze, but luckily I was able to heal him in time, so there were no serious consequences.

Still, I want to say to Brother Black Haze: I’m sorry!”

Evan bowed deeply to Black Haze. Everyone present finally understood, but also didn’t understand. They realized Evan wasn’t being arrogant, but couldn’t figure out how, when they’d all just stepped out of their original worlds together, he could be so monstrously strong. It was just too unbelievable!

Right now, Black Haze was looking at Evan with pure admiration! Honestly, he’d fought countless stronger opponents, but not one had ever truly convinced him. Yet Evan had done it!

Or maybe it wasn’t just submission—it was genuine awe. He’d been the one to challenge Evan, and Evan, trying not to hurt him, had even tried to refuse. Forced to accept, Evan used a law avatar, but still couldn’t fully restrain his strength and ended up injuring him, then immediately healed him.

Sigh! I was so foolish—he didn’t refuse my challenge out of disdain, but out of concern for hurting me. And even if it were disdain, with power like that, he’s more than qualified! Black Haze thought to himself, but felt no regret; seeing Evan’s strength firsthand made him deeply happy.

In truth, things weren’t at all as he imagined. Evan hadn’t overthought anything—he’d simply acted on instinct, treating Black Haze like a world-level enemy such as Supreme Titus or the Spirit Lord.

But the result was a huge gap—Black Haze’s strength didn’t even feel as great as those late peak God-Emperors of the Three Realms!

“Alright, that’s enough sparring for today. I trust you all understand each other a bit better now. Everyone, rest up and, after dinner, get ready to cross the Starfire Sandstream Zone.” Henry Lin gave the order and turned to leave, sending Evan a message to meet him outside.

On the upper deck of the star-boat, only Henry Lin and Evan remained. Henry watched Evan for a long moment before speaking.

“I already knew the trial world was far stronger than any Small World, and that anyone coming out of it would be powerful. That much was expected! But what I didn’t expect was that you’d be this... heaven-defying.”

Henry Lin thought for a long time, but in the end, ‘heaven-defying’ was the only word that fit.

“Or to put it another way, when the First Person and Second Person appeared, they were strong too, but needed Stellar Power to beat Small World Saints. But you... if I’m not mistaken, that avatar you used just now was condensed from pure elemental law, wasn’t it?

Such methods are truly extraordinary, and the power even more terrifying! So now I’m really curious—if you went all out and added Stellar Power, could you even fight a Saint Lord?

Hearing this, Evan was a little shocked too. Was he really that strong? But he kept feeling the others were just too weak. Deep down, he believed he was a true mid-Saint, while Black Haze and the others, despite having early Saint auras, only had God-Emperor level strength!

Could he be mistaken? Evan was confused. If it was just his own problem, then what about Lord Thunder, Supreme Titus, and the Spirit Lord? After breaking through the Three Realms’ final realm, their auras and cultivation matched his, and their strength was just as great. Even if they lost to him, they could easily slaughter these Small World Saints.

But according to Henry Lin, in the Star-River Dominion, most of the main fighting force among dynasties are Saint Lords and Saint Venerables, and most of them also come from Small Worlds. After all, those who emerge from trial worlds are usually overlords or lords.

So, across the whole Star-River Dominion, cultivators of the same realm are actually weaker than those forged in the Three Realms! And this phenomenon seems to have started with Evan’s generation...

Why is it like this? Evan suddenly thought of his ‘cheap master,’ the Ninefold Sacred Emperor! And then four words exploded in his mind—Heaven’s Favor!
