The man outside was stunned, too. Benson Blue put away his Transmission Stone, cursing under his breath, "Damn it, he's really alive! And he got in here!"
With those thoughts swirling, Benson Blue turned back toward the entrance, curious. But when he reached it, Evan Yang was nowhere to be seen. He muttered to himself, then retraced his steps—still no sign of Evan.
Now Benson Blue started to panic. Had Evan vanished? He wondered anxiously.
Unable to find him, Benson Blue could only move on, his mind full of doubts.
Not long after Benson Blue left, Evan Yang emerged from behind, chuckling to himself. "It's so dark here—hiding inside the tower is really safe."
Benson Blue never imagined Evan would hide inside such a tiny, hard-to-spot treasure.
With Benson Blue gone, Evan began exploring this mysterious place.
At first, nothing seemed unusual. But the deeper he went, the more branching paths appeared—and the wider the tunnels became. Evan picked a route at random and continued onward; since his divine sense was limited here, he had no idea which way was correct.
After several hours, Evan spotted some human skeletons on the ground. Even stranger, the bones were covered in bite marks—though he couldn't tell what creature had made them.
"Did they really get bitten to death?" Evan muttered, staring at the skeletons.
