Ancestral Disguise Technique

"Today."

Grace: "Today?"

"Come with me." He led Grace to a nearby mountain, not far away, and pointed down for her to look.

Behind this mountain, a huge crowd—no less than several thousand people—were wearing white mourning clothes, carrying whole pigs and sheep, and lugging brightly colored ceremonial offerings, all heading this way.

Faintly visible, on the enormous funeral wreaths, was a clan emblem formed from a stylized version of the character 'Kee.'

It was obvious—the Kee Family was here for a memorial ceremony.

"They're already on their way, and you're still charging me five taels of Celestial Spirit Jade?" Grace asked.

"Gold VIPs get a twenty percent discount—four taels."

Grace: "..."

Just then, a swarm of Flying Riders appeared in the sky,

Naturally, those were Kee Family members too.

The two of them quickly hid deep in the forest.

"Mr. Wang, this whole way has been nothing but fog. I doubt I could get out on my own. Could I trouble you to wait and go back with me?"

"Of course. You're a Gold VIP client—whatever you ask, I can do," Mr. Wang replied.

Grace: "...Let's go down and take a look. See how they're getting through the Spirit Barrier."

Mr. Wang: "Alright."

Because of the Flying Riders overhead, they couldn't use their Falcons—so they had to walk the whole way down.

By the time they reached the foot of the mountain, more than half an hour had passed.

They found a spot where they could hide and still see the Spirit Barrier over Kee Mountain.

At the front of the procession, people had already started going inside.

A door-sized opening appeared in the Spirit Barrier, and everyone entering had to show their Alliance Token.

There was someone registering people nearby, too.

"It's just a memorial service—why make it so official?" Grace muttered.

"Miss Grace, we don't have a token—there's no way we can get in," Mr. Wang said.

"Exactly! We need to get our hands on a token..." Grace glanced toward the back of the line.

Usually, places like this don't allow people to just go off and relieve themselves.

But someone always tries to sneak off before going inside.

Sure enough, she saw several groups heading up the mountain.

She told Mr. Wang to wait right there, then sneaked over.

Just then, two young men walked by together.

Judging by their cultivation, they were probably around Spirit Practitioner, Fourth or Fifth Rank.

She knocked both of them out and dragged them to Mr. Wang's hiding spot.

Then, without hesitation, Grace fed them a Red Truth Pill and grilled them for their names, clan, age, parents, and all sorts of personal details—including how they were related.

Turns out, one was Jason Kee, the other Mason Kee—cousins, both locals of Moonshade Kingdom...

...

They changed into Jason and Mason Kee's clothes, took their tokens and belongings, and got ready to deal with the two boys.

"Miss Grace, are we really going to sneak in like this? We'll definitely get recognized," Mr. Wang said.

"The Kee Family is huge, spread across several countries—not everyone knows each other," Grace replied.

"It's still way too risky! We'd be better off disguising ourselves as those two—the risk would be much lower."

"I can't do disguise technique." If she could, she'd have done it already.

"I can."

"Huh?" Grace asked in surprise, "You know disguise technique?"

"It's a family craft," Mr. Wang said. "Miss Grace, want to see?"

"How?"

"Just a moment." Mr. Wang glanced at Mason Kee's face, then turned away and fiddled with his own.

Then he turned back around.

Grace was instantly amazed.

He'd actually turned into Mason Kee!

Just looking at his face, it was absolutely identical—even the moles matched perfectly...
