“Finally! The Dark Church people are here—now that brat is doomed for sure!” The moment this was said, every trembling European bigwig around let out a heavy sigh of relief. If the fight had kept going, even if all of Europe’s combat power joined forces, there was no way they could’ve stopped Ryan Ling.
But now things were different—the Six Dark Pontiffs of the Dark Church had all arrived. These guys represented the absolute top tier of power in Europe’s six regions.
Back in the day, these forces were so ridiculously strong—and their methods so brutal—that Europe kept them hidden away in the shadows, and nobody dared to invite them out lightly. For ages, all six Pontiffs, plus thousands of Dark Church disciples, just holed up in the darkest corners. The European elite would send them tribute from time to time, pretty much handing over Europe’s finest treasures just to keep this pack of maniacs under control.
But now, with Ryan Ling suddenly rampaging across Europe and wiping out the entire Blood Clan, the European high command felt a massive crisis. That’s why they finally called in these unforgivable madmen—whose strength is way above the Blood Clan’s. Even the Kunlun League once tried to win them over, but the Dark Church just blew them off. Clearly, these guys are used to doing whatever they want. That alone says everything about how powerful—and arrogant—the Dark Church really is.
“Ryan, these guys mean business. There’s no way we’re getting out of here anytime soon!” The Ghost Elder gritted his teeth inside Ryan’s body.
And just as the Ghost Elder finished speaking, every passage around them got drenched in thick black fog. All around, who knows what kind of monsters were cackling and grinning.
“Kid, you’re pretty impressive—actually wiped out the whole Blood Clan in Europe, huh? Nice!” That grating voice sounded again, but this time with a cold laugh: “But in our eyes, the Blood Clan are just a bunch of rabble. Now that they’re dead, things are quieter!”
The European bigshots around all gulped when they heard that. Clearly, they’d seen the terrifying monsters lurking inside the black mist—creatures that stood for darkness and fear, the nemesis of humanity. Any martial arts master would be shaking in their boots at the sight, and even God Realm experts were mentally collapsing right now.
Because this was already way beyond human martial arts—it was a battle between gods and demons!
“Heh, you sure like to talk. Today, you bastards have pissed me off for real. Back off now and maybe I’ll spare you. Otherwise—no one gets out alive. All dead!” Ryan Ling’s face twisted with rage, killing intent blazing in his eyes, his fury practically boiling over his head. At a time like this, anyone who tried to block him was just begging to die!
But right now, the Six Dark Pontiffs of the Dark Church didn’t look worried at all—instead, they all burst out laughing. Plenty of European VIPs around them even snickered to themselves. Obviously, they thought Ryan Ling was way too cocky and full of himself.
Strictly speaking, these Dark Church guys aren’t even human—each one’s basically the embodiment of a demon. They wander between the human world and the demon realm, and rumor has it they’re all immortal, impossible to kill!
That’s exactly why the Kunlun League went nuts trying to recruit them back in the day!
“Laughing? I’ll give you something to laugh about!” Ryan Ling’s eyes widened, and his peak Nascent Soul qi erupted in a frenzy. Even though urgent trouble in China had kept him from reaching Nascent Soul perfection, his current power was already way beyond a normal Nascent Soul great circle—honestly, you could call it ‘earth-shattering.’
Right then, without hesitating, Ryan let out a furious roar. Instantly, all the black mist around him blew away, and those monsters that’d been showing off just now suddenly looked like they’d run into an even scarier demon—every one of them started trembling in terror!
“You think these little tricks can scare me? Get lost!” Ryan sneered, and all his Nascent Soul power instantly turned into a storm of killing intent—blades and knives flying everywhere. The trembling monsters got wiped out in one go!
The black mist around them was swept away in an instant—totally cleared out!
“Well, well, he broke through our Dark Demon Net that easily? Not bad!” As the monsters and mist vanished, the true forms of the Six Dark Pontiffs finally appeared—every one of them ice-cold and deathly pale, looking nothing like living humans, more like mummies. Behind them stood rows and rows of Dark Church disciples, stretching as far as the eye could see.
“Enough talk—let’s show him some real dark power! All Dark Church disciples, unleash everything and trap him!” one Pontiff shouted. Instantly, Dark Church disciples surged into the sky from all directions like celestial troops, attacking together. The scene was so wild that even the European bigwigs just stared, like they were watching a mythological movie.
In no time, a sky full of dark energy webbed around Ryan Ling, wrapping him up like a spider’s web. The Dark Church disciples kept pouring in their power, and soon black spikes started growing out of the web. If one of those stabbed into you, no matter how strong you were, you’d rot away completely!
Over a thousand Dark Church disciples attacked together—a sight that was almost unheard of anywhere in Europe.
But Ryan Ling didn’t look scared at all—if anything, he looked downright contemptuous. He stared coldly at the whole scene and launched his own attack, just like the Monkey King causing chaos in Heaven. He drove his God‑Slaughter Halberd straight at one direction, stabbing furiously.
In an instant, the dark energy spiderweb that had looked so impressive started shaking like it’d been hit by a Category 12 typhoon.
“Pontiff, this guy’s power is insane—we can’t hold him at all!” one core disciple shouted, his eyes full of fear.
“How is this possible?” The Pontiffs were stunned, and just as the disciple finished speaking, the entire dark energy barrier shattered with a bang. Hundreds of Dark Church disciples were torn open—still alive, but seriously wounded!
“Bastard—die!” Right then, a raging figure shot forward, heading straight for one of the Pontiffs. Ryan Ling was completely enraged—at a moment like this, anyone who dared to block him was just asking for death.
“Kill them all—leave no one alive!” Even the Ghost Elder inside Ryan was yelling now. These idiots blocking the way—if he didn’t kill them, he’d never get out. So he struck out suddenly, wiping out everything in his path!
“What the—?” That Pontiff clearly hadn’t expected Ryan to break the dark energy net at lightning speed, let alone charge at him like a madman!
That kind of power was almost unheard of in the whole world!
In that instant, all six Pontiffs realized they’d totally underestimated Ryan Ling.
But at this point, it was already too late for second thoughts!
Ryan’s God‑Slaughter Halberd rammed straight into that Pontiff’s head, splitting his skull open—a chunk of brain nearly went flying!
“Hiss!” All the European bigshots around sucked in a breath—clearly, in their eyes, Ryan Ling was getting close to invincible! He wasn’t just the Blood Clan’s nemesis; he was Europe’s nemesis!
“Ryan, things in China are getting worse. I smell blood—something big’s about to go down. We have to hurry back or it’ll be a disaster!” The Ghost Elder was itching to wipe out these Dark Church bastards, but the crisis in China was getting out of hand. If they didn’t go now, the consequences would be dire!
“Let’s spare them for now—back to China!” Ryan Ling bit his lip. This was probably the first time in his life he’d let these bastards go like this. He didn’t hesitate—he yanked out the God‑Slaughter Halberd and turned to leave.
“All Dark Church Pontiffs—attack together! Let this punk see our real power. Kill him!” To Ryan’s surprise, the Pontiffs didn’t back off at all. Instead, each one stepped forward, blocking his way. And what really shocked him—the Pontiff whose head he’d just split open suddenly regenerated, looking even more hideous and terrifying than before…
