Seriously Wounding the Galeclaw Eagle

1/19/2026

Evan Cross could hear the artifact spirit’s words loud and clear, but right now he didn’t want her help. The Galeclaw Eagle’s lightning power was so fierce—he might as well use it to toughen himself up. That way, he’d be better prepared for the Thunder Pool.

“Just be patient, little sister. When big brother really needs your help, he’ll definitely let you know. For now, he still wants to play with that guy a little longer.”

“Since big brother says so, I’ll just watch for now. But that beast really is pretty strong, so you need to be careful,” the artifact spirit said.

Evan glanced at the Galeclaw Eagle in the sky and laughed, “Old bird, is this all you’ve got? You dare call yourself king with just that? Show me your real strength already! I don’t have time to waste with you. If you keep dragging this out, my next strike might just be the one that kills you.”

“Kid, don’t get cocky! You came to my turf, so I’ll give you a proper welcome. Take this!” the Galeclaw Eagle roared in anger.

A flash of golden light burst from its body, and countless feather-arrows shot toward Evan in a dense barrage. But Evan didn’t even bother dodging—he just stood there in midair, waiting for the arrows to hit him. He wanted to deal the eagle a psychological blow.

Crackling sounds echoed as the feather-arrows struck Evan’s body, throwing up a shower of sparks. Not a single arrow could break through his defense.

The feather-arrows didn’t hurt him at all. Off in the distance, the Savage Earth Dragon was stunned—Golden Dragon Lord’s defense was absolutely monstrous! Even though its own defense was strong, it wouldn’t dare just stand there and take such a barrage. Its respect for Evan grew even deeper.

The Galeclaw Eagle was shocked too. This lowly human actually had such a freakish defense—something it had never seen before. A bad feeling welled up inside: it might really suffer at this guy’s hands today.

“It’s only polite to return the favor!” Evan shouted, then vanished in a flash and slashed out with his sword. This strike combined short-range teleportation with Heaven-Cleave—he knew the Galeclaw Eagle was fast, so he had to attack even faster. Otherwise, the eagle might dodge and his attack would miss.
