Lunch for Four

1/4/2026

Cecilia Gu was a little surprised.

Angela Ma invited her out for a meal?

Cecilia instinctively wanted to refuse, but when she thought of Ethan Yin, she hesitated.

Ethan Yin was now considered one of Charles Yin's people.

No matter the reason, Ethan Yin was currently helping Charles Yin take care of the Tenhowe Branch.

Now that Emma Yin was finished, it was only a matter of time before the Tenhowe Branch was completely taken over.

So, Ethan Yin and Angela Ma inviting her out—was it also a way to test Charles Yin's attitude?

If she refused too easily, would they overthink it?

With that thought, Cecilia immediately smiled and replied, "Sure, I'll get ready and head over."

After hanging up, Cecilia immediately said to her assistant Wendy, "Let's go to The Regency Room. Push everything else aside for now."

Wendy, the assistant, quickly arranged for a driver and took Cecilia straight to The Regency Room.

While Cecilia was still on the road, Charles Yin called, "Where are you?"

"Hmm... On the way to The Regency Room. Ethan Yin and Angela Ma said they wanted to treat me, to thank me properly." Cecilia replied lazily, "Now that Ethan is helping you take back Tenhowe Branch, I guess I'm helping you win people over!"

Charles chuckled on the other end of the line. "You're working hard, Mrs. Yin. Which branch of The Regency Room?"

"What? You're coming too?" Cecilia couldn't help but be surprised. "Didn't you say you had a shareholders' meeting today?"

"You're a shareholder too! And you didn't show up!" Charles complained a little. "Besides, it's been ages since I've had The Regency Room's food. Since Ethan is treating, let's all eat together."

Cecilia immediately gave him the address.

By the time Cecilia arrived, Charles Yin's brand-new Koenigsegg was already there.

As soon as Cecilia got out of the car, she saw his tall figure standing right in front of her.

She didn't even have to think about it—Charles must've timed his arrival perfectly.

A sudden sweetness welled up in her heart.

Charles was all smiles, took Cecilia's hand and tucked it into his arm, leading her inside.

The manager of The Regency Room came out to greet them, "Wow, Mr. Yin, Mrs. Yin, it's an honor to have you both! We've prepared the best room for you!"

Cecilia smiled and waved her hand, "No need, our friends are already here."

The manager smiled even deeper, "Of course, we'll give your friends the biggest discount today. Please, come in!"

Charles ignored the manager's flattery, his attention only on Cecilia.

To speak directly with him, this branch manager wasn't qualified.

So Charles couldn't be bothered to say anything and just led Cecilia inside.

After the two went in, the manager wiped a cold sweat, suddenly realizing his back was drenched.

Looks like the rumors are true!

Chief Mrs. Yin has truly returned!

They found the room Ethan Yin had reserved, and Cecilia and Charles just walked right in.

As soon as they entered, Cecilia saw Ethan Yin and Angela Ma sitting nervously on the sofa, talking about something.

Angela Ma straightened up instinctively when she heard the door open.

When she saw Charles Yin coming in with Cecilia, her eyes widened, and she nearly fell over!

Her dream guy... came too!

Charles only glanced at Ethan Yin, treating Angela Ma like background noise. "Ethan, it's rare for you to invite your sister-in-law to a meal. I hope you don't mind if I crash the party too?"

Ethan Yin didn't expect Charles to come, but he recovered quickly. "Why would I mind? It's great to have both my brother and sister-in-law here! Angela... Angela!"

Ethan saw Angela Ma staring at Charles in a daze, so he reached out and tugged her.

Angela finally snapped out of it, shivering a little, and hurriedly greeted, "Mr. Yin, Mrs. Yin!"

Cecilia smiled and nodded, while Charles just frowned and nodded stiffly.

He really didn't like the way Angela looked at him.

But since she was Ethan Yin's half-sister, he didn't say anything.

Ethan also sensed Angela was acting weird and whispered to her, "What's wrong with you?"

Angela quickly looked away, flustered. "I... I'm just a little nervous."

Ethan patted Angela's shoulder. "I didn't expect my brother to come either. But it's fine, there's no one else here—he won't mind."

Angela sneaked another glance at Charles, bit her lip, and nodded.

Cecilia and Charles sat together, and only then did Ethan and Angela nervously sit across from them.

"It was nothing, really. You don't have to treat me just for that," Cecilia said to Angela with a smile. "The prices here aren't cheap!"

This meal probably cost Angela a month's salary.

He wanted to do something for Cecilia but didn't know what.

Cecilia wanted to revive the Grant family but struggled to find the right channel.

Making Mr. Yun a visiting professor at Saint Diana Academy was actually one of the fastest ways to promote the Grant family.

Saint Diana Academy really is a world-class top academy!

It wouldn't diminish Mr. Yun's status at all!

Cecilia didn't say anything more.

She really didn't have much of an impression of Angela.

The first time she met her, she accidentally discovered her relationship with Ethan Yin.

The second time was at the auction house when Helen Jiang made things difficult for her, and Cecilia casually helped her out.

The third time was at Grandma Evelyn Yin's 80th birthday, when Cecilia just thought this girl was honest and having a stable job wasn't easy. Plus, since she was Ethan's sister, Cecilia decided to help her out.

Honestly, this little thing really wasn't worth such a big fuss.

Especially since Angela isn't all that wealthy.

After a while, all the dishes were served.

Charles has always been very picky.

The Regency Room at least knows about Mr. Yin's picky eating habits, so all the food was served individually.

Seeing this, Charles finally looked a bit more pleased.

Even during the earthquake in Japan, no matter how tough things were, he hated eating food touched by others.

Let alone now?

Of course, Cecilia was an exception!

Charles always had a strong presence, making those around him unconsciously tense up.

Plus, everyone really didn't have much in common, so things got awkward for a while.

Charles just asked Ethan a few questions about the Tenhowe Branch, and what should have been a nice thank-you lunch almost turned into a business meeting.

Angela had never eaten at such a fancy place before. Some of the food she'd never even seen, so she just watched how Cecilia ate and copied her.

Cecilia noticed this and smiled kindly at Angela, slowing down to show her how to eat some of the dishes.

Charles picked up a napkin and wiped his mouth. "I'm going to the restroom."

Cecilia nodded. Charles stood up and left the room.

As soon as Charles left, the atmosphere instantly relaxed.

Angela glanced around and said to everyone, "Ah, I need to take a call."

Cecilia and Ethan nodded at the same time. Angela pretended to answer a call and quickly left the room.

Now only Cecilia and Ethan were left in the room.

Ethan set down his chopsticks and looked at Cecilia, saying, "I heard my brother gave you the position of director at Saint Diana Academy?"

"Wow, you're really well-informed!" Cecilia smiled. "I didn't even have time to refuse. Since I have to send my kids there, I had to accept the position."

"Well, you are the lady of the Yin family." Ethan smiled a bit awkwardly. "Uh... well..."

"What's wrong? Just say it!" Cecilia saw Ethan hesitate and laughed. "You don't want to go to Saint Diana Academy, do you? As the director, I could get you in through the back door."

Ethan blushed. "Don't joke, sister-in-law! I'm already twenty-eight! I just wanted to ask, now that you've taken over Saint Diana Academy, are you still going to the capital for that cultural exchange?"

Why? Those two things don't conflict, do they?" Cecilia looked at Ethan, puzzled.

"Sister-in-law, don't you know that Saint Diana Academy is also participating in the cultural exchange?" Ethan was surprised.

"Huh? Is that so?" Cecilia was stunned.

The principal did bring a bunch of documents for her to review today, but she found it troublesome and didn't look at any of them.

Could it be that Saint Diana Academy is also involved in such a high-profile cultural exchange event?

Well, it does make sense.

As the country's top aristocratic academy, it's only natural for Saint Diana Academy to participate in such a prestigious cultural exchange.

But as the director of Saint Diana Academy... how can I promote the Grant family's culture?

That's really something to consider!

Ethan saw Cecilia's troubled expression and couldn't help but smile. "Actually, I have an idea that could kill two birds with one stone."

Cecilia was immediately interested.

"Sister-in-law, isn't your father a world-class ancient culture expert? You could appoint him as a visiting professor at Saint Diana Academy! That way, you could take him to the capital for the cultural exchange. Both Saint Diana Academy and the Grant family could use the synergy to build their reputations." Ethan said carefully, looking at Cecilia expectantly when he finished.

He'd been thinking about this all day.

He'd never been able to help Cecilia with anything.

He wanted to do something for Cecilia but didn't know what.
