At the edge of the green-shaded athletic field, beneath the trees.
The girls' squad, standing at attention for military training, couldn't help but glance to the side... One of their members was quietly seated on a bench, with a boy in ragged jeans standing next to her.
What's going on?
Is this a romantic scene?
Curiosity bubbled among them as they stole glances; even the two neighboring squads turned to watch, swept up by the urge for drama.
"Is a scene from a TV drama about to play out right before our eyes?"
"Maybe. That guy does have a presence about him."
"Are they going to fight? But the instructor is so tough... Unless that guy in the blue t-shirt is a Martial Arts Program student, he's going to be in trouble."
They whispered among themselves, exchanging glances.
Whoosh, whoosh.
Hot wind swept through the field.
The female instructor strode angrily toward Andrew Han, ready to question him.
Andrew Han took a breath and smiled, "She's caught a cold and is too weak to stand for long."
Huh?
The instructor paused, frowned at Andrew Han, then turned her gaze to Monica Zhang's pale face. Her anger faded, replaced by concern. "Monica, are you alright? You should go see the campus doctor."
All the military training instructors had been briefed.
This was Southland University, a renowned institution in Sinovera. Even strict instructors had to restrain themselves; losing their temper was out of the question. Besides, no one wanted an accident during military training—students' health came first.
"I'm fine."
Monica Zhang replied softly.
Sunlight fell on her pale face; though her voice was weak, it was clear. Andrew Han frowned, "You look terrible. Still insisting you're fine? I'll speak up for you—your military training is canceled."
