"What’s wrong?"
Jenny Sun was supporting Guo Feng, walking a few steps behind the group.
She was planning to leave ASAP—she really didn’t want to stay here another second. She also wanted to hurry back, grab Lynn Chen, and ask her about Evan Lin.
How could Evan Lin be so wild and overpowered?
And from the look of Evan Lin, it was like he didn’t even care about what just happened.
Tonight was nothing like that incident at Socrates.
But before Jenny Sun could ask anything, she suddenly noticed Lynn Chen, who was walking ahead, had stopped.
"Why aren’t you moving?"
She looked up, her gaze passing Lynn Chen’s side, and saw Ray Lei returning not far ahead, with a woman beside him, frowning.
The woman was tall, had a great figure, dressed stylishly, and carried herself with such aura that Jenny Sun instantly felt a bit inferior.
The woman’s presence was seriously intense.
"You causing trouble again?"
Gloria Rong strode forward. She’d actually been here eating with friends tonight, and had just bumped into a disheveled Ray Lei on her way back from the restroom.
After grilling Ray Lei for a few questions, Gloria Rong quickly learned Evan Lin was here too.
Last time at Walnut Lane, Gloria Rong played peacemaker, and after that she didn’t bother with whatever happened between Ray Lei and Evan Lin.
In her eyes, Evan Lin was just an outsider—no reason he should be stirring up trouble all the time.
She’d spoken up for Evan Lin once, helped him avoid conflict with the Lei clan. For Gloria Rong, it was a small thing, barely worth remembering. Even if the Lei clan wasn’t top-tier, they still had a foothold in Beijing.
They might not be enough to take on real heavyweights, but if things really blew up with Evan Lin, he’d probably be in way over his head.
So, from Gloria Rong’s perspective, last time, Evan Lin definitely got a pretty sweet deal out of it.
Ray Lei was forced by Gloria Rong to apologize and bow his head, which basically gave Evan Lin plenty of face.
But Gloria Rong couldn’t figure it out—why did it look like Evan Lin had stirred up trouble again tonight?
"Hey, no, Gloria—this isn’t Evan Lin’s fault, it’s mine, it’s all on me."
Hearing Gloria Rong’s words, Ray Lei was nearly in tears and hurried to explain.
He wanted to bolt, but without Gloria Rong’s permission, he didn’t dare leave.
"Don’t talk."
Gloria Rong frowned, her gaze landing on Evan Lin, then glancing at Lynn Chen, Jenny Sun, and the others beside him, before turning back to Evan Lin: "Last time, I didn’t even mention it to Allen Ju. Is tonight’s mess a big deal or not?"
"If it’s big, I’ll step in for you again."
She weighed her tone carefully.
Gloria Rong knew part of Evan Lin’s true strength, but even so, after helping him out time and again, she was starting to feel annoyed.
But then she thought of Allen Ju, and that annoyance faded.
