Deadly Showdown Wraithlord Versus Luna Quay Part 1

12/15/2025

A gentle breeze drifted by as I gazed at the moonlight flowers lining the island’s edge. Luna Quay, dressed in a long black robe, silver-white hair flowing softly behind her, sat quietly among the blossoms, smiling and inhaling their fragrance.

"Well, Luna Quay? My offer isn’t bad. If I take control of the world, I’ll allow you and your lover, Ji Yuner, to survive."

"So arrogant—do you really think victory is in your grasp, Wraithlord!"

Luna Quay twirled a moonlight flower between his fingers. The tenderness and smile vanished from his face, replaced by anger.

"You’re nothing but a corpse, pretending to have feelings when you have none—how pathetic. I have a plan that can give emotion to the emotionless. What do you say, Luna Quay? Just hand over Tan Tian’s Golden Soulstone."

The Wraithlord’s words carried both threat and temptation. Suddenly, a fierce wind swept through, tearing the moonlight flowers from their stems and turning them into silvery-white motes that vanished. Luna Quay rose, her long hair whipping in the wind, masking most of her face except for her pair of crimson eyes.

"It seems there’s no reason to keep talking. I’ll use you as the opening act for my return to power."

With a thunderous boom, the Wraithlord was sent flying toward me, but he quickly stopped himself in midair.

It was the Void Corpse Barrier—Luna Quay evaded all of the Wraithlord’s attacks, using corpse energy and flesh to create an independent space, completely avoiding the assault. Yet I was shocked to see the faint silver membrane on Luna Quay begin to crack, bit by bit.

"Too bad, this thing is completely useless against me."

The moment the Wraithlord finished speaking, he had already sliced through Luna Quay’s body. Luna Quay looked at me calmly as her body exploded, scattering silvery motes in the air. Then I saw moonlight flowers appear, one after another, floating in the sky—more and more, until the whole world was filled with them. I watched the surrounding moonlight flowers, unmoving, knowing full well this was Luna Quay’s power.

It was the first time I’d ever heard of such a thing, but Luna Quay had already become the very world of this space. With a series of booming sounds, moonlight flowers radiated intense silver light and surged toward the Wraithlord.

Wave after wave of violent explosions made me uneasy, but at this moment I couldn’t escape. If I touched any of these flowers, they would attack automatically. The explosions didn’t destroy the flowers; instead, they became part of Luna Quay’s power, clinging directly to my body. I could see everything clearly—even guess what Luna Quay intended—but against the Wraithlord, it was all futile.

The Wraithlord floated in the air, untouched by any attack. One meter from him, every exploding moonlight flower turned to dust and vanished, while he kept smiling.

Suddenly, after a round of explosions, a fierce silver beam shot out like a sharp spear, stabbing straight at the Wraithlord. My eyes widened in shock—a silver-white figure, Luna Quay, appeared, wielding a long spear aimed directly at the Wraithlord’s heart.

With a clang, the spear failed to pierce the Wraithlord’s chest. He stood with his hands behind his back, golden-red eyes fixed on the silver Luna Quay before him.

"Is that all the power you have?"

Streams of intense silver-white light streaked past the Wraithlord like meteors. I stared in awe—this power was unlike anything I’d ever seen, pure and overwhelming.

Suddenly, the Wraithlord roared, and in an instant, all those meteor-like beams seemed to freeze. They shattered into fragments of silver light drifting in the air, and Luna Quay’s silver figure was instantly obliterated.

Black currents filled the entire space, making it hard to breathe, as if I were being crushed by enormous stones—completely unable to move or resist.

"Sorry, I might’ve gone a bit overboard. If Tan Tian shows up before I get the Soul Jade, things could get messy—he’s a real nuisance."

As the Wraithlord spoke, he took a deep breath, drawing back those living forces I’d never seen before into his body. The entire space began to distort, as if on the verge of shattering.

At that moment, the moonlight flowers began to wither, and Luna Quay reappeared before the Wraithlord, half-crouched in midair, clutching her chest.

"When power clashes with power, the weaker side always loses in the end!"

The Wraithlord clenched his fist and instantly appeared in front of Luna Quay, throwing a punch. Luna Quay swiftly blocked with a silver-white short spear, then pressed her hand to the Wraithlord’s chest.

Again, Luna Quay transformed into a stream of silver light, converging at her hand pressed against the Wraithlord’s chest.

With a thunderous boom, the Wraithlord was sent flying toward me, but quickly stopped himself in midair.

Luna Quay appeared, wielding a long spear in one hand and a short spear in the other, attacking the Wraithlord. Her movements were deceptively gentle, each strike growing stronger and stabbing rapidly, but the Wraithlord didn’t dodge. He let Luna Quay’s blows land—his body was like steel, and no matter how much force she used, she couldn’t leave a mark.

"Now it’s my turn."

As soon as the Wraithlord finished speaking, he suddenly lunged forward and threw a punch. Luna Quay crossed her weapons to block, but before the fist even touched her, both weapons crumbled to dust and her body shattered instantly.

A crystal-clear silver Golden Soulstone was gripped in the Wraithlord’s hand.

"This is the Earth Soul of the world. Think carefully about how you’ll shake the Corpse Realm in the endless days to come."

I clenched my fists as suddenly, whip-like vines sprouted from Luna Quay’s Golden Soulstone, wrapping around the Wraithlord’s arm and spreading across his body, with black thorns emerging from the silver vines.

Yet even this power couldn’t pierce the Wraithlord’s skin. In a blink, his body was wrapped in silver-black thorned vines, but he calmly raised one hand.

With a hum, a giant black disc appeared in the sky. Instantly, the vines around the Wraithlord turned to ash, while Luna Quay was drawn to the disc’s surface.

"You zombies really are a handful."

With a crack, the Wraithlord crushed the silver Golden Soulstone, but Luna Quay still stared at him expressionlessly. The Wraithlord’s hand made a grabbing motion, and the disc shrank, wrapping Luna Quay in blackness. In an instant, a small black sphere appeared in the Wraithlord’s hand.

"You can shift the world, but I’ll create an even greater world to swallow yours. It’s a simple principle!"

I watched as the black sphere in the Wraithlord’s hand, like a rubber ball, began to bulge irregularly on its surface, as if something inside was striking with immense force. The sphere danced erratically in his grip.

"Useless..."

Just as the Wraithlord spoke, a streak of silver light pierced the sphere, slashing across his cheek. This time, I saw him dodge—a faint wound appeared on his face, red blood trickling out as he pressed his hand to it.

"So that’s it—you’ve already learned the limits of my body’s defenses. You’re clever, Luna Quay!"

The Wraithlord turned to look at Luna Quay, who reappeared in the breeze behind him.

"Looks like these little skirmishes aren’t enough for you anymore, Luna Quay. What is Tan Tian to you, really? Beings like you shouldn’t have loyalty. Why risk your life for him? Think about it—death means nothing remains. You have one last chance."

The Wraithlord’s expression grew serious as he spoke. At that moment, a voice echoed in my mind.

"I’m counting on you, Earth Soul. If I die next, find a way to stall the Wraithlord—don’t let him leave here. I can’t hold him much longer!"

My eyes widened as a streak of silver light flashed by my feet. I nodded.

The Wraithlord clenched his fist, a twisted smile spreading across his lips. He was ready to kill—I could feel the murderous intent saturating the space, threatening to tear me apart with a single move.

"In my memory, it was Tan Tian who raised me, and after my death, taught me everything. It’s not about loyalty—it’s something far deeper!"

Luna Quay smiled gently, raising her hands as both long and short spears reappeared. Suddenly, I drifted forward.

"Wait a moment, Wraithlord."

"What do you want to say, Earth Soul?"

I stared at the Wraithlord.

"Maybe you’ve already been exposed—your entrance was too dramatic. I suspect Tan Tian is already nearby."

The Wraithlord looked around, then shook his head.

"Dragging things out won’t work. I can’t wait any longer—let’s invade the Underworld now, and help my three children while we’re at it."

In an instant, black light enveloped me. When I could see again, the Wraithlord was already attacking Luna Quay.
