Temporary Docking

1/4/2026

Charles Yin smiled and changed the subject, saying, "This time we're going to Hans's training base. Peter Pingshan should be quite happy about that. I heard that Hans recently got some venom from a primitive tribe—it works really well. I bet Peter heard about it, that's why he came so quickly."

"That's good. Let them patch things up." Cecilia Gu said, "You rarely see a couple as dramatic as those two! Even Sophie Mo and Julian King aren't as noisy. Oh, by the way, Ryan King's birthday is coming up in a few days—we should get his present ready!"

"Alright, I'll do whatever you say." Charles Yin took Cecilia's hand, grinning suggestively. "With such nice weather, let's stop talking about other people. How about you focus on comforting my lonely heart while you're away?"

Cecilia Gu rolled her eyes at him. "Stop it, the kids are right next door!"

"Then we'll keep it down." Charles Yin leaned in and kissed Cecilia.

No matter the weather, he always wanted a little harmony with Cecilia.

After a night of storm and thunder, the morning was especially fresh.

Yina Yin dashed over in her pajamas and knocked on the door. "Thirteen Sister! Open up!"

A few bodyguards followed behind, carrying her shoes and bending down as they chased after her. "Miss, you haven't put on your shoes yet!"

Yina Yin lifted her little foot, letting the bodyguard uncle put her shoes on. Then she tiptoed and knocked again. "Thirteen Sister, wake up!"

Yuan Shisan opened the door and crouched down. "Why are you up so early? Did the thunder scare you last night?"

Yina Yin looked at her in surprise. "What? There was thunder last night?"

Yuan Shisan, who barely slept because of the thunder, was speechless.

At that moment, the handsome Miles Gu and Ethan Yin walked over from next door. "Hey, morning!"

Yina Yin looked up. "Brother, did you hear the thunder last night?"

Ethan Yin glanced at Miles Gu, and Miles patted Yina Yin's head. "Nope."

Ethan Yin looked at Miles Gu with an expression that said he couldn't bear to watch.

For Yina, Miles Gu, have you lost all your principles?

They were clearly woken up by the thunder last night.

But, well, if little sister says there wasn't any, then there wasn't!

"Nope," Charles Yin replied shamelessly.

Sherry Yuan: "..."

Maybe everyone in this world is a little strange!

"Morning, kiddos!" Rona Muir's voice came from behind, yawning. "Wow, this morning is really beautiful! The calm after the rain is simply breathtaking!"

Julian King, looking very satisfied, said bluntly, "Of course it's beautiful—you didn't get caught in the rain!"

"Get lost!" Rona shot back, kicking at him. "Buzzkill!"

Julian King calmly dodged the kick.

Whatever grievances you suffer during the day, you can always make up for them at night in bed.

"Godmother!" the kids greeted in unison.

Rona ignored Julian and took Sherry Yuan by one hand, Charles Yin by the other, heading toward the dining room. "Come on, let's get breakfast!"

The group headed off together to the dining room.

Cecilia Gu waved to them from afar. "Over here!"

Although the yacht belonged to Charles Yin's family, there were other guests on board as well.

Most of these people were relying on the Yin family's protection and hitching a ride for a while.

Of course, they weren't riding for free—everyone had to pay their price.

So, when the Yin family came over for breakfast, the other guests all stood and nodded politely, extremely courteous.

Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu were already seven or eight years old, so they weren't as carefree as three-year-old Charles Yin Jr. When others greeted them, they would stop and return the gesture.

Sherry Yuan watched from a distance, her eyes full of unspoken envy.

Even though Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu played pranks on her, nearly driving her crazy...

...she had to admit, these two boys were truly outstanding—elegant, poised, and so captivating you couldn't look away.

Once they grow up, they'll probably be just as remarkable as Uncle Charles, won't they?

But, that has nothing to do with me anymore.

After I leave this time, I probably won't ever come back.

A trace of sadness flickered in Sherry Yuan's eyes, but she quickly hid it.

She was clear and realistic—she wasn't qualified to reach for these young masters.

To have spent this time together in her life was already the greatest luck she could ask for.

Whether it was good luck or not, her future no longer had anything to do with them.

Cecilia Gu smiled and invited Sherry Yuan to sit beside her, with Charles Yin Jr. on one side and Charles Yin on the other. "Did you sleep well last night?"

"I did," Sherry Yuan replied shyly. "Thank you."

"That's good," Cecilia said with a smile. "Because of last night's storm, we'll be docking at the pier for a day. If you want to go out and play, just take two bodyguards with you. Don't wander off, and make sure to come back on time."

Rona watched as the servant set out her food. "Last night's storm was pretty intense. I bet there were some good catches, right?"

Cecilia nodded. "We did catch quite a few good things. I'll have them processed and sent home for everyone to try. Two of them are really rare, so since we got lucky, of course we're not letting them go."

Rona nodded in agreement. "Storms always bring surprises."

After breakfast, the yacht slowly docked.

The four kids cheered as they went ashore to play.

Cecilia and Charles Yin strolled hand in hand on the pier, not wandering far.

As the official boss of Danni Corp, Rona naturally wasn't really free to relax.

As for Julian King... well, as a research fanatic, he did his experiments wherever he went.

Sherry Yuan followed the three of them ashore. She turned back to look at the massive yacht, then quietly asked, "Aren't the other people on the boat coming down?"

Ryan King answered proactively, "This is just a really small pier, and our boat is honestly a bit too much for it. But we're just unloading some things and resupplying, so it's fine. There's not much to do here, so the others are too lazy to come out. Mom was worried you weren't used to being on the yacht, so she wanted you to come ashore and stretch your legs, get used to it slowly. After all, we might not get another chance to dock for several days."
