She Really Came

Grace smiled and asked, "Excuse me, is Louis Lin here?"

"He's not!" The girl in pink replied, reaching out to close the door.

"Wait!" Grace hurriedly said. "If he's not here, maybe Quentin Chin is? I'm an old friend of theirs!"

"Old friend?" The girl sneered, "Looks like you really are 'old'! Those two haven't been in the Radiant Dawn Palace for ages! And you're still trying to find them?"

"Not here?" Weren't those two Evan Xiao's close aides? "Where did they go then?"

"No idea!"

Grace took a deep breath and asked, "But the Crown Prince Evan Xiao is still around, right? Could you please let him know I'd like to see him?"

"You want to see the Crown Prince Evan Xiao?" The girl looked absolutely outraged, pointing at Grace and snapping, "You? Want to see the Crown Prince? Why don't you just fly to heaven! Seriously... These new Dragon Stewards are getting more and more shameless!"

"Sylvia Yin! Who are you talking to?" Another girl's voice called out, gentle and friendly.

Then, a young woman dressed in lotus-colored robes stepped out.

This woman was even prettier than Sylvia Yin, dignified and gentle, the kind of person you instantly liked.

"Rosalind, sis!" Sylvia Yin huffed. "She came here asking for Louis Lin, I told her he's not here. Then she wanted Quentin Chin, I said he's gone too. Guess what? She actually says she wants to see the Crown Prince Evan Xiao!"

Rosalind smiled, looked at Grace, and asked softly, "Who are you, and what business do you have with the Crown Prince Evan Xiao?"

"I'm an old acquaintance of Louis Lin, Quentin Chin, and the Crown Prince Evan Xiao. Would you please help pass on my message?" Grace said.

"Oh? An old acquaintance?" Rosalind looked at her. "May I ask your name?"

"My surname is Summers, and my given name is Qingluan," Grace replied. "Just tell His Highness my name, he'll know who I am."

Rosalind paused for a moment, then nodded. "The Crown Prince Evan Xiao isn't here right now, but when he returns, I'll pass on your message."

"Thank you so much!" Grace said.

Rosalind nodded.

Sylvia Yin shot Grace a sideways glance and muttered, "Rosalind, sis, don't fall for her act! How could she possibly know the Crown Prince Evan Xiao? It's just another trick these little hussies come up with to get close to His Highness!"

"Sylvia Yin, don't talk nonsense," Rosalind said sternly.

Sylvia Yin pouted and said nothing, but slammed the door with a bang.

Grace was left outside, kicked the door lightly in frustration, and grumbled, "So many pretty maids serving him! What a total playboy!"

......

Ever since the day Crown Prince Evan Xiao was officially appointed, he's been handling the daily affairs of the Divine Emperor.

Every morning at dawn, he hears reports from various gods about major events across the realm, then has piles of memorials to review. Only after the Divine Seal is stamped can the gods go forth and carry out their duties.

But today, in Sunshade Palace, Evan Xiao sat at his desk for ages without reading a single memorial.

After a while, he suddenly vanished from his seat and appeared atop the stone pillar at the entrance to Drake Abyss.

He walked up to the Mirror of Truth and placed his hand on the frame.

Over the past few days, everyone who passed through the Mirror of Truth appeared one by one on its surface.

Suddenly, his gaze locked onto two people.

Grace Summers and Rina Chu.

The two of them were staring wide-eyed at Grandpa Gene the High Saint's true form, looking completely dumbfounded!

Grace Summers really did come!

She came with Grandpa Gene the High Saint...
