"Is it going to rain?" Monkey couldn't help but widen his eyes, looking bewildered.
Didn't General Lee say that if it rains here, other places would have to suffer drought? Why is it suddenly allowed now?
This doesn't really seem like the Heavenly Court's usual style.
Inside the house, Tripitaka and the old county prince rushed out at the sound of thunder, looking up at the sky.
In that instant, tears burst from the old prince's eyes.
"It's going to rain—hahaha, it's really going to rain!" He leapt and bounced like a child, frantically looking around, grabbing Tripitaka's hand. "Quick, quick, find something to catch the water! Hurry, hurry! Heaven has opened its eyes! Heaven has finally opened its eyes!"
He dashed off toward his own courtyard as fast as he could.
"Everyone, hurry out! It's going to rain! Phoenix County is saved! Hahaha!"
His laughter, half-crying and half-shouting, echoed through the night sky.
Amid flashes of lightning and thunder, waves of moist, humid wind swept in. Everything around seemed to leap for joy—as if the whole world had awakened in an instant.
Tripitaka looked up and saw Monkey on the rooftop.
"Is this..."
"I don't know either," Monkey said, spreading his hands.
Without much hesitation, Tripitaka spun around and dashed into his room, quickly hauling out a pile of jars and bottles.
"Help him out," Monkey turned to King Bullhorn and gave him a look. "Get every vessel in Phoenix County that can catch rainwater and bring it out."
"Yes, sir!"
With a wave of King Bullhorn's hand, countless demon soldiers sprang out from every corner. They rushed to the abandoned cottages nearby, hauling out every container that could hold rainwater.
In no time, nearly every corner of Phoenix County was lined with neatly arranged jars and bottles.
"Does this count as Tripitaka's Universal Salvation succeeding?" Prince Adrian asked in a low voice.
"I'm afraid not. But... it's better than complete failure," Monkey sighed softly. "Maybe the Heavenly Court found some spare rain somewhere and decided to take care of us for now. Rare for the Jade Emperor to show a little sense."
