Chapter 414: No One Survived

A guttural scream followed—the Hellfire Demon Lord's arm was nearly pierced by the Frost Spear, and the flames coiling around it dimmed in an instant. Even the Hellfire Demon Lord hadn't expected Leon to wield two elemental avatars at once; caught off guard, it suffered a heavy blow.

Though shocked by Leon's technique, Dalson and Alaric—the two Title Archmages—quickly regained their composure. The moment the Hellfire Demon Lord's arm was crippled, a flash of fire brought them before it, unleashing a torrent of spells like a raging storm...

At this point, the Hellfire Demon Lord's movements grew sluggish, its fierce assault now a struggle. It let out two deep snarls, eyes burning with hatred for Leon. This hellish creature, level thirty-six and as cunning as any human, knew that the young mage was the core of the group—kill him, and victory would be assured.

With a sudden burst, the flames on the Hellfire Demon Lord surged. In this fiery domain, it held an overwhelming advantage. In the blink of an eye, it lunged at Leon, towering above him, and brought its massive arm crashing down!

"Oh my god..."

Rolf's face turned deathly pale as cold sweat soaked his back. He hadn't expected the Hellfire Demon Lord's speed to spike so drastically within its fiery realm. Even as a third-rank Phantom Archer, he could only glimpse a fleeting shadow...

But even more terrifying was the Hellfire Demon Lord's strength—so overwhelming it bordered on despair. Even a fifth-rank Sword Saint, shielded by battle aura, would likely be gravely injured or killed outright if struck head-on by this infernal beast...

Such is the power of hellish creatures.

Rolf heard a deafening crash—his face twisted with dread. He saw clearly as the Hellfire Demon Lord's thick arm smashed down, sending magma spraying across the ground.

Under this terrifying power, Matthew Merlin, the incarnation of ice element, had astonishing defenses—but astonishing was all they were. Even a fifth-level Sword Saint couldn’t withstand such force, let alone an elemental avatar...

Such a pity...

This young mage had surprised him again and again, rising from a mere second-level Magus to an incarnation strong enough to rival a Title Archmage, and then unleashing dual elemental avatars within the domain of flame.

All these scenes flooded into Rolf’s mind at once.

He felt sorry for Leon...

In his eyes, this prodigious mage had limitless potential; in a few decades, he might reach the peak of Title Archmage, perhaps even touch upon transcendent power...

But now, nothing mattered anymore. The young mage had risked himself to help the three major mercenary companies fight the Hellfire Demon Lord, fought without reservation, and in the end...

Yet just as everyone believed Leon was doomed, a figure clad in red and white appeared before them. He wore thick white ice armor, tightly enveloped in red flames. Suddenly, he swung his armored fist, smashing into the Hellfire Demon Lord’s chest. With a crack, his arm pierced through the demon’s chest, and with a heavy grasp, he tore out a flaming, beating heart.

Boom!

The instant the flaming heart left the Hellfire Demon Lord’s body, its towering form stiffened, and the flames covering it were instantly extinguished. As a gust of wind swept by, its pitch-black body turned to ash... The magma covering the ground for hundreds of meters solidified at the same moment, and several surrounding volcanoes abruptly ceased their eruptions.
