Perfect Score Paper

2/14/2026

As soon as Principal Damon Deng gave the order, Director Ben Lu waved to Henry Wang, who immediately jogged over and began unsealing the exam envelope.

Once the seal was broken, the students’ names and scores were revealed one by one.

Focus on Evan Lin’s score. This test paper is tough, but for Capitalview First High students, scoring eighty or ninety isn’t a problem. We’ll use that as the benchmark—if this student’s grade is under sixty, he’ll definitely be in the bottom ten percent of the school!

Director Ben Lu spoke coldly.

Henry Wang moved quickly, but when he saw most of the revealed papers scored in the seventies and eighties, he forced himself to stay calm, though he was secretly a little surprised.

The difficulty of the test far exceeded his expectations, and the overall scores were much lower than he’d predicted.

Just wait—once we find Evan Lin’s paper, it’ll settle everything! With a test this hard, does he really think he can score sixty?

Henry Wang sneered inwardly.

Principal Damon Deng added, “Also, bring out the high-scoring papers and praise those students in front of everyone. Let this student see the huge gap between himself and the real talents of Capitalview First High!”

Principal Damon Deng’s words instantly spread throughout the entire school.

Lynn, looks like your hometown friend is definitely getting kicked out this time.

Yeah, seriously. When we did this paper,

it was tough even for us, let alone your transfer student from Class 32.

Whoever made this test must be nuts. These questions are so tricky—you can’t even use normal methods to solve most of them.

In Experimental Class 2 (Honors), a bunch of students glanced at Lynn Chen. They’d all seen Evan Lin clash with Mason He before.

Weighing things up, most people still sided with Mason He.

"With this paper, if he gets a low score, I’d be shocked." Lynn Chen muttered.

On the projector, Henry Wang flipped through the papers quickly, scanning the name fields on the sixty- and seventy-point scripts. Evan Lin’s name still didn’t show up.

When grading, all the scripts were shuffled. Now only the last stack remained, and in it were a 140-point paper and a perfect-score paper.

Henry Wang put even more effort into searching. With everyone watching, finding his own class’s top scorer would mean both fame and fortune.

A 140-point paper!

Henry Wang held up a test paper. The score lit up his eyes, and seeing Lynn Chen’s name from Experimental Class 2 made him even more ecstatic.

140 points!

Director Ben Lu was shocked by the score, then nodded slightly, looking very pleased. “This test was tough. For a student to score this high—who could it be?”

Henry Wang’s announcement left the whole school stunned. Even the usual top students looked curious.

This paper was way too hard for them. Even students with good math grades could easily crash and burn here.

Who could it be?

No idea. My total score didn’t even break 140, and just that one big blank question was worth over ten points.

I bet it’s just the usual top scorers—who else could it be?

The students buzzed with speculation.

Henry Wang pulled out the paper and handed it to Director Ben Lu, who picked it up and smiled. “Experimental Class 2’s Lynn Chen, 140 points. Lynn Chen from Experimental Class 2, please come to the front.”

Lynn Chen!

Is that Lynn Chen who transferred from Brightsea City a while back?

Whoa! I knew she was smart, but I didn’t expect her grades to be this good!

All the students in Experimental Class 2 turned to look at Lynn Chen. She felt a bit strange inside—she’d only gotten this test paper after hearing Evan Lin won an award and found it online to try herself.

The first time she tried it, she only finished about half. Most of the rest she solved slowly, looking up answers as she went.

Getting such a good score this time was only because the paper had left a deep impression on her.

Lynn, head to the multimedia room. The principal’s definitely going to praise you in front of everyone!

Lynn Chen got up from her seat and quickly walked to the multimedia room, feeling oddly nervous inside.

140 points—very impressive. Looks like, Mr. Wang, your class has produced a rare talent! You’ve got to nurture her well.' Principal Damon Deng nodded, smiling as he spoke.

Then he glanced at Evan Lin standing there, and Byron Yang beside him—the anger in his eyes was obvious.

“Wait, Principal—there’s still a perfect-score paper. I’ll find it now.” Henry Wang, delighted at the principal’s praise, quickly resumed searching through the stack.

The gap between 140 points and a perfect score isn’t just ten points. One is the test’s upper limit, the other means someone’s true ability far exceeds what the paper can measure.

Looks like this year’s Capitalview First High students are truly impressive," Director Chen said with a laugh, finally speaking up.

Principal Damon Deng nodded slightly and glanced over. “Problem students like this are rare—sorry for letting you see one today, Director Chen.”

As they spoke, Lynn Chen made her way through the corridor toward the multimedia room, still thinking about what she should say to Evan Lin when she saw him.

After searching for a long time, Henry Wang finally found the perfect-score paper. His face lit up, and he quickly pulled it out, eyes darting straight to the name field.

This is…

Henry Wang’s round, cheerful face suddenly froze. His eyes widened, his smile locked in place, and his chubby hand holding the test paper even trembled.

You found the perfect-score paper? Let me see—is it another one from your class, Mr. Wang? Even if it is, you don’t need to get so worked up." Director Ben Lu laughed, shook his head, and reached for the paper in Henry Wang’s hand.
