Paula Bloom, Reincarnation of the Mother of Lightning

1/5/2026

In that instant, Ryan Ling was hit with the strongest attack he'd ever faced!

Inside Ryan, the Ghost Elder couldn’t help but gasp: “How is this even possible? All five Thunder Tribulation gods are intercepting him at once! That’s a sign of a fifth-layer tribulation—holy crap!”

Right now, Ryan was just trying to break through from Nascent Soul to Heaven-Tribulation, but this level of interception was absolutely bonkers—even Ryan himself was left speechless. Clearly, the thunderclouds here were way too intense!

“Burn every last drop of Nascent Soul power!” At this moment, Ryan felt like he was about to explode—the five Thunder Tribulation gods outside weren’t even the worst part; the thunder he’d already absorbed inside him was starting to go off like a bomb.

This wasn’t just any phase—it was the second step of the Heaven-Tribulation breakthrough: Exploding Thunder.

The whole Heaven-Tribulation breakthrough had three stages: first, absorb thunder; second, explode thunder; and finally, transform into thunder. Only by surviving all three rounds of this baptism could you truly step up from Nascent Soul to Heaven-Tribulation.

But even after barely surviving the thunder-absorption stage, this second wave—the Exploding Thunder—was already pushing Ryan past his limit. He was getting squeezed from inside and out, his body on the verge of ripping apart!

“Aaaahhh!” Ryan howled like a madman, clearly enduring the most brutal torture of his life. It was like being tossed into a boiling oil cauldron—he was seconds away from a total meltdown.

In a flash, even the hundred fresh Heavenwood Flowers inside the Demon-Snaring Bowl withered away completely. The scene was honestly jaw-dropping.

"This won’t work. We can’t let this go on—gotta figure out a way to help him!" Right then, the Ghost Elder’s face was twisted with worry. Even he hadn’t expected this tribulation to be so savage; no matter how much talent Ryan had, right now there was just no way he could hold out.

Just then, the Ghost Elder’s eyes darted to Paula Bloom. If Paula could bulldoze through all those barriers to reach Thunder Isle, maybe she could help Ryan survive this tribulation too.

"Paula, help Ryan! You’ve gotta have a way!" The Ghost Elder looked at her, utterly out of options.

"I’ll help him!" Paula Bloom was dead serious now. She’d clearly been prepared for this—without hesitation, she lunged at Ryan, and in that moment, a chunk of the thunderstorm veered straight for her.

In an instant, Paula’s freshly donned clothes exploded apart, her ample breasts suddenly exposed. But here’s the weird part: the moment her skin touched Ryan’s, all the thunder he’d gathered—and even the five Thunder Tribulation gods outside—hesitated, like they instinctively feared Paula Bloom.

"Wait, what?" The Ghost Elder’s brows shot up. He’d seen it all, but now he was starting to guess: "Mother of Lightning reborn? Could Paula Bloom actually be the reincarnation of the Mother of Lightning?"

Thunder God and Mother of Lightning—in this world, the only thing thunder will ever hesitate before, or even fear, is the Mother of Lightning!

Thinking back, China’s Divine Dragon had asked Paula Bloom to follow Ryan for a reason—maybe the Dragon saw something special in her.

"Ryan, hold Paula Bloom tight! Only if you hold her close do you stand a chance of breaking through this tribulation!" the Ghost Elder shouted.

Honestly, Ryan had been blasting through Nascent Soul stages at lightning speed, and now he was trying to break into Heaven-Tribulation just as fast—no wonder the heavens were jealous. Plus, his Nascent Soul power was way too monstrous, which made this tribulation extra brutal!

Even though Ryan’s body was getting wrecked, his mind was still clear. Hearing the Ghost Elder, he didn’t hesitate for a second—he grabbed Paula Bloom and held her tight!

For a moment, the pain eased up just a bit—not gone, but at least the exploding thunder inside him wasn’t quite as brutal.

“Ryan, hang in there, hang on!” Paula Bloom hugged him tight, her skin pressed against his, rubbing all over him. Right then, Ryan finally got it—Paula’s aura was totally unique, and with her help, the thunder was actually backing off!

“Go for it!” No hesitation now—Ryan went all out, charging straight ahead!

At this point, he had no way out—retreat wasn’t an option. All he could do was push forward. If he could just survive the exploding thunder, his tribulation breakthrough would be halfway won.

Suddenly, Ryan’s Nascent Soul started to change, and his physical body slowly began to thunderize. The lightning inside him kept growing—obviously, Paula’s ‘assist’ was working, and he was finally getting on track!

“Boom! Boom! Boom!” Ryan didn’t hesitate. He was running out of time—every second counted. He had to nail this breakthrough in one go; even a single misstep could mean total disaster.

“Come on!” Even the Ghost Elder was gritting his teeth on the sidelines—this kind of tribulation scene would scare the pants off even a seasoned expert.

Millions of bolts of lightning went berserk inside Ryan’s body, while five giant thunder avatars blocked him overhead. This scene alone proved Ryan was a top-tier genius!

And with this kind of breakthrough, not only was Ryan’s body thunderizing nonstop, but all his artifacts started to mutate too—from the Demon-Snaring Bowl to the Primeval Heavenwood, everything was getting a massive upgrade.

If Ryan pulled off this tribulation, his power would skyrocket—and all his artifacts would level up too. The Hell Furnace was already evolving into an Immortal Artifact, the God-Slaughter Halberd’s quality was rising, the Kanglong Mace was breaking into Immortal grade, and even the Primeval Heavenwood’s fallen flowers were swelling up, hinting at future fruit. This was the sign of true breakthrough.
