Three Rainbows

But instead of falling on Sean Shaw, the rainbow dove straight into his Storage Pouch.

Sean Shaw took out the items from his Storage Pouch.

It was that painting.

The rainbow landed beside the fish.

"Huh?" Lucy Luan exclaimed in surprise. "Why did a rainbow appear next to this fish too?"

"What's so surprising?" the fish said. "Whenever she senses a familiar aura, she sends out a rainbow."

"A familiar aura? So, Fish Senior, you know the Gatekeeper too?" Lucy Luan asked.

The fish sneered, "The rainbow trick? I taught her that one myself!"

"When Evan Xiao died, she barely wanted to live, but worried her children would grieve. So, before her consciousness faded, she set up these little tricks."

"Whenever family, friends, or their first-generation descendants come close, a rainbow appears, pretending she's still there."

"Oh, so that's how it works..." Lucy Luan suddenly understood. "But it's not just their first-generation descendants, right?"

"No! Only the first generation! Second generation and beyond—no rainbow!"

"What about me? I’m already in the great-grandchild generation of Lucas Kee!"

The fish glanced at her a few times and said, "Maybe she’s close to your Mother Goddess?"

"Impossible! My Mother Goddess was born long after she was gone."

"Then there’s only one possibility."

"What possibility?"

"You’re not their biological child! Your parents are someone else."

Lucy Luan looked at the fish coolly. "You’re the one who’s not biological. Your whole family isn’t biological!"

"I was born of heaven and earth, and will live as long as the cosmos!" The Eternal Wishfish declared proudly.

"Senior Eternal Wishfish, Lucy Luan is her parents' biological child. You're being too arbitrary," Sean Shaw said.

The fish snorted, "Hey? You two are taking turns doubting my words now?"

Sean Shaw said, "If what you say is true, I should get a rainbow too!"

"My mother was born from Emperor Evan Xiao's body."

"The Gatekeeper and Emperor Evan Xiao raised my mother together for a long time."

"By your logic, I should definitely have a rainbow, right?"

Eternal Wishfish muttered, "...Maybe your luck just sucks."

Red light flashed in Sean Shaw's hand and he smacked the fish on the head.

"Ouch! You hit me again! Watch out, you might get struck by lightning!" Eternal Wishfish complained.

As soon as it finished speaking, wind and clouds roared through the barrier, thunder and lightning flashing everywhere.

The Eternal Wishfish darted around excitedly: "See? See? You mother and son are bullying me so much, even the tree can't stand it! Chloe Zhu, send down a bolt of lightning and strike him dead!"

As if answering its call, countless bolts of lightning gathered and fell straight in front of Sean Shaw.

But they didn't strike him, just gathered in front of him.

The lightning crackled and gradually faded away.

Something floated in the air.

An arrow.

Lucy Luan's mouth dropped open. After a long moment, she said, "It's the Tenfold Annihilation Arrow! It's the Tenfold Annihilation Arrow! I've seen its picture—looks exactly like this!"

Sean Shaw looked at it and slowly reached out to grasp it.

The arrow suddenly glowed—it was activated by him.

"Oh my god!" Lucy Luan covered her mouth. "It chose its master!"

Sean Shaw was just as excited, kneeling with the arrow in his hands: "Sean Shaw thanks the Gatekeeper for this gift!"

A brilliant rainbow rose from the tree, circled Lucy Luan once, then circled Sean Shaw several times before fading away.

"Three times! She actually gave this girl three rainbows!" The Eternal Wishfish sounded surprised. "The only one!"

"You don't know, do you?" Lucy Luan laughed. "The Gatekeeper once received the inheritance of my ancestor Quinn Lu, and became sworn siblings with Divine Lord Lucas Lu. Plus, my great-grandmother was a Spirit Medium! Of course she favors me more."
