Proud Vindication

"One minute?"

Hearing Evan Lin's words, Sean Chen's smile grew even wider.

Xu Shifeng and the others beside him were also slightly taken aback.

Selina Xu's eyes showed even more disdain. She had originally thought this kid just looked a bit annoying, but when it came to sheer thickness of skin and composure, he really was something else.

But now, hearing this kid admit defeat so directly was honestly a surprise.

"I thought you were all that, but you're giving up before the fight even starts?" Selina Xu rolled her eyes.

"He can at least hold out for three minutes," Yuan Zutai spoke up from the side.

Deputy Commander Su sighed inwardly, already regretting bringing Evan Lin in here.

"Did you all misunderstand something?" Evan Lin shook his head, his tone indifferent. "Vulture won't last more than a minute against Fifth Blade."

He's the weakest among the group, but dealing with Flying Eagle's Vulture is just a walk in the park.

As soon as Evan spoke, everyone around him turned pale.

"You really dare to talk big!" Sean Chen's face darkened. "I don't even know which company you're from, but our Flying Eagle guys have stomped you again and again. This time you barely managed second place—do you really think your Fifth Blade can take on Vulture?"

Yuan Zutai also shook his head. "No way."

Everyone looked at Evan Lin with even more disdain.

Over by the side, Gavin Yue was already signaling Deputy Commander Su to get Evan Lin out, but Eldest Brother Su just pretended not to see and kept his cool. As for actually kicking Evan out, even if you gave him a few extra guts, he wouldn't dare do it.

"Just wait and see."

Evan Lin said nothing more.

In the arena, the tournament had already begun.

All around, the crowd roared like a tidal wave, each company cheering their fighters on.

Vulture's face was fierce and menacing. He'd taken shots at Flying Eagle's people on this stage more than once, so he was already very familiar with Fifth Blade.

"You think I won't recognize you just because you changed your callsign? A weakling is always a weakling. Get off my stage!" Vulture's face twisted, and he charged forward like a missile. His speed was nuts, every muscle on his body exploding with power as he threw a flurry of punches straight at Fifth Blade.

Vulture's stance was especially solid—every stomp hit the ground with a heavy, unshakable thud.

"After this round, that Fifth Blade guy's probably toast. The ring's so big, there's nowhere to run."

Lena Xu watched, her face lighting up with excitement.

Everyone figured, facing Vulture's attack, Fifth Blade would have to turtle up and try for a counter. But nope—the skinny guy didn't back off at all. Instead, he clenched his fists and jumped right in!

And not just that—Fifth Blade's route was nothing like the standard camp style. His footwork drifted but stayed grounded, and while his punches didn't look fast, every move was rock solid.

"He's gonna take it head-on? That's straight-up suicide."

Grant Yuan just shook his head.

To the crowd, it's just a show. But the pros? They know the real deal.

In his eyes, Fifth Blade's physique was way behind Vulture's. Going head-to-head was just asking for a beatdown.

Honestly, he might not even last a minute.

Pretty much everyone in the crowd was thinking the same thing.

Ethan Xu sipped his tea, his expression unreadable. Major General Gavin Yue's gaze swept over Eldest Brother Su and Colonel Sean Chen—one looking gloomy, the other smug.

Meanwhile, that teenage boy just sat there, calm as ever—like he'd already seen the outcome and had zero doubts about his own judgment.

That ticked off Major General Gavin Yue. He made a mental note to have a word with Deputy Commander Su later—and maybe drop a hint that he shouldn't bring random nobodies into the military district anymore.

Boom!

In a flash, Vulture and Fifth Blade crashed together.

Crack!

At the same time, a crisp, explosive snap rang out through the air.

"Huh?"

Most people barely noticed the sound.

It was Vulture.

"Fifth Blade of Knife-Edge Company ended the fight with a single punch!"

Flying Eagle Company was famously strong, always lording it over Knife-Edge Company—everyone knew that.

Lena Xu's eyes went wide as she cried out in shock, her expression flickering as disbelief took over.
