Where Did That Annoying Guy Go

Grace saw this and said, "If you don't believe me, I won't say any more! I take my leave!"

"Why are you like this!" Shannon said through gritted teeth, though her face wore a shy smile.

Grace laughed, "I write to my master every few days. In my next letter, I'll ask him about this, okay?"

Shannon smiled without saying a word.

That day, when they returned, Rina Chu and Bobby were both standing at the entrance of the Spirit Alliance, waiting anxiously.

"What are you two standing here for?" Grace asked.

"Of course we're waiting for you!" Rina Chu said. "Are you alright? You didn't run into any danger, did you?"

"Almost!" Grace replied. "Luckily, Shannon rescued me."

"It was her!" Bobby let out a sigh of relief. "Good thing she was there."

But Rina Chu looked uneasy and asked, "Grace, is Bianca Whitefan really your friend?"

"Why do you ask that?" Grace asked.

"You've been in Four Symbols City for so long, but she hasn't come looking for you once."

Grace paused for a moment and said, "Back in Blue Moon Kingdom, Shannon helped me a lot. In my heart, she'll always be my friend."

"She might not be here just for you."

Grace glanced at her, "Did you eat gunpowder or something?"

"I'm just speaking my mind!" Rina Chu said. "You know what they say: a long road tests a horse's strength, and time reveals a person's heart. Back when you were Evan Xiao's darling, she was so warm to you! But ever since Evan forgot about you, have you seen her care about you at all?"

As she spoke, she linked arms with Grace and said, "Only Bobby and I will always have you in our hearts."

Grace smiled and patted her cheek, "I know, you're the best."

"Obviously!" Rina Chu gazed at her with affectionate eyes.

Grace shivered under her gaze.

This girl really needs to get married soon...

The rank of Spiritual Alchemist is closely tied to one's cultivation level—they go hand in hand.

Even though she had the Ten Wilds Herbal Codex, to refine high-level pills, she had to raise her cultivation.

Lately, Grace had been refining pills every night.

She was trying to make pills that could help her break through to Spirit Master Tier Four.

However, after three or four attempts, she failed every time.

That night, she tried again—refining pills while reading at her desk.

Ray ran over, jumped onto the desk, and stared at the book in her hands.

Grace reached out and patted his head.

But he dipped his tail into the ink and got it all black.

"Hey little guy, what are you doing?" Grace asked.

Ray drew two circles on the book with his tail, perfectly encircling two words: Divine, Father.

Divine Father...

Grace asked Ray, "You can recognize words?"

Ray nodded. Ever since he turned into a dragon, he couldn't really write anymore.

But he could still read them.

"Are you trying to tell me... you miss your Divine Father?"

Ray nodded, his big eyes full of confusion.

Where did that annoying guy go?

It's been so long since I've seen him.

I really do kind of miss him...

Grace hugged Ray and stayed silent.

That night, her pill refining failed again.

She was sure it was because one of the spiritual herbs had lost its potency.

The herb was called: Golden Ganoderma.

She'd have to make a trip to Eastwood Forest soon to gather more Golden Ganoderma.

Her alchemy failed again, and night was already deep.

Little Ray fell asleep on her lap.

Grace kissed him, put him in the nest she’d made for Cutie Pie, left the space, and went to bed.

But as soon as she closed her eyes, she remembered what Bianca Whiteshire said.

She said... Evan Xiao is choosing a consort.

He's choosing a consort...
