Four Patriarchs and the Alliance Leader

Evan Yang had already returned to the Yang Clan’s lodging. His arrival made Lydia Yang and the Wine Beggar the happiest of all.

When they saw Evan, they were excited and stared at him, eager to know what he had been up to these past days.

"Kid, you didn’t leave a single message." The Wine Beggar laughed.

Evan Yang smiled, "It happened suddenly. Sorry about that."

"Alright, enough talking. Go get some rest." Lydia Yang said with a smile.

Evan Yang nodded and went with Lydia Yang and the Wine Beggar into a room. Meanwhile, Terry Yang and his family heard the news and gathered together.

"Dad, that guy’s back. I wonder how much he’s improved." Terry Yang said.

"Don’t worry. I just tested him—he released his aura, still first-tier Immortal Lord, no change at all." Terry’s father said.

"That’s good. First-tier Immortal Lord, no matter what, that’s all the strength he has." Terry Yang said.

"Yeah, exactly. Besides, he’s going to face the Water Clan soon. The Water Clan’s water attribute isn’t simple, and his fire attribute is just what gets countered." Terry’s father laughed.

"But Dad, don't forget—he also has earth attribute." Terry recalled Evan's earth power from the Territory War Contest.

"Earth attribute? Earth counters water? Damn it." Terry's father's confidence deflated.

"Don't worry, Dad. He's only first-tier Immortal Lord. Even if he's got the counter, the Water Clan can still handle him." Terry said after thinking for a moment.

Terry's mother chimed in, "What's wrong with you two? Are you really scared of a mere Immortal Lord when you're both Emperor Realm?"

Terry and his father exchanged embarrassed looks. It wasn't fear—just worry. Terry remembered how, back during the Territory War Contest, he secretly sparred with Evan, who was only Profound-Immortal then, yet still gave him headaches. Then there was that Star Sea chase, which left a lasting shadow. As for Terry's father, he was haunted by memories of Liam Yang's monstrous talent—Liam had been the Yang Clan's brightest star in every way.

Seeing their awkward faces, Terry's mother said, "The match is in three days, Terry. Train hard—don't let yourself get intimidated before it even starts."

"Don't worry, Mom. I'm not just going to beat him—I plan to cripple him. Assuming he makes it to the end." Terry said.

"Yeah, your first-round opponent is from the Fenn Family. But at least you didn't get matched against their monster—the one who split his soul to cultivate a supreme wind art. If you faced him, even a win would be tough." Terry's mother explained.

"Monster from the Fenn Family? Who is it?" Terry asked curiously.

"I don't know the details. He's always been in seclusion, but apparently he got the Fenn Family's top wind technique and even split his soul to cultivate it. Now that he's shown up here, it means his soul cultivation has made progress. Once he merges his souls, he'll be even more terrifying." Terry's mother said.
