Master, Why Are You Here

"When your father left, my son and I were still trapped in the Frostbound Casket," Serena Xi said. "Of course, he’d leave his legacy to the one who could save us."

Felix Xi’s expression soured: "..."

Soon, Grace stirred from her meditation, a jade bottle now in her hand.

She used Serena Xi’s blood to unlock the Rare Herb Vault.

That proved beyond doubt—she was truly Luke Kee’s wife.

The jade bottle was placed right at the entrance of the Rare Herb Vault.

Inside, there was only water.

This water was purer than any Heaven’s Dew they’d seen before. Just uncorking it, Grace felt its refreshing, clarifying energy.

"This might be Heaven’s Dew!" Grace exclaimed. "Let’s take it to my mentor—he knows Heaven’s Dew!"

"Alright." The three of them hopped onto their flying beast and sped off to Full Moon Manor.

"Master! Master!" Grace called out as she ran. "Where are you?"

Jun Lionhead stepped out of the house, saying, "I’m right here. Slow down."

For someone so grown up, she could still act like a child sometimes.

"Master, can you check if this is Heaven’s Dew?" Grace eagerly handed him the bottle.

But Jun Lionhead didn’t take it. Instead, he looked past Grace.

Grace turned to see Felix Xi and Serena Xi had caught up. She started to introduce them: "Master, these two are—"

"Master? Why are you here?" Felix Xi called out before Grace could finish.

Grace stared blankly at Felix Xi.

What did he just call him?

Master?

Who’s his master?

"Felix, what brings you here?" Jun Lionhead asked in surprise.

"Grace brought us," Felix Xi replied, glancing at her. "It’s been ages since I’ve seen you. So this is where you’ve been!"

"Huh? Master, what’s going on? You two know each other?" Grace asked, still confused.

"Felix is your senior disciple," Jun Lionhead said.

"Senior..." Grace’s jaw dropped. "Really?"

Jun Lionhead nodded.

"Ha! Haha!" Grace giggled. "No wonder Felix is so impressive—he’s just like my master! Turns out he’s my senior!"

As she spoke, she slapped Felix Xi on the shoulder. "Hey! Looks like we really are fated to be friends!"

Felix Xi shot her a sideways glance but said nothing.

His father’s legacy was hers.

And now, his mentor was hers too?

"Come on in," Jun Lionhead invited everyone inside.

Once they were seated, Grace handed him the jade bottle.

Jun Lionhead opened it, probed with his spiritual power, and nodded. "Much purer than before!"

"Is it Heaven’s Dew?" Grace’s eyes lit up.

"Yes."

"Then, can we use this Heaven’s Dew to refine the Phoenix Essence Pill?"

"I’ve never made it before, so I can’t say for sure," Jun Lionhead replied. "We’ll just have to try."

"Then let’s give it another shot!" Grace said. "I believe we’ll succeed this time!"

So Jun Lionhead started refining another batch.

This time, both disciples assisted in the Pill Room.

When Jun Lionhead wasn’t around, Grace asked Felix Xi, "My mentor—well, I mean your father—said in the legacy jade slip that he sealed your mother in the Frostbound Casket. How did she get out?"

Felix Xi replied, "Master was the one who released her. All these years, he’s been searching for medicine everywhere to cure my mother’s poison."

Grace’s brows twitched, but she said nothing.
