Terrifying Fragmented Law Nexus

Joe Di was overjoyed and eagerly asked, "Brother Victor, please enlighten me."

Victor Kuang had long wanted to befriend Joe Di, so he naturally held nothing back at this moment. "Brother Joe, you should know about the Grand Ruins, right?"

Joe Di nodded. Of course he knew about the Grand Ruins, and he had gained quite a lot there. He even succeeded in Dao shaping within the ruins. The Grand Ruins were extremely dangerous; few cultivators who entered ever came out. Not to mention the Elemental Beast—even those Law Fragment Vortices, once you were swept in, death was the only outcome.

The Grand Ruins consisted of five layers. For a powerful cultivator, reaching the Grand Ruins Third Layer was already quite an achievement. Those who entered the Grand Ruins Fourth Layer were extremely rare.

But the opportunities inside were extraordinary. There were all kinds of law fragments. If you obtained a law fragment and cultivated law-based divine abilities, your progress would be twice as fast with half the effort.

Joe Di cultivated the Path of Laws, so law fragments were of limited use to him. But just because Joe Di couldn't use them didn't mean others couldn't.

Victor Kuang continued, "According to ancient records, at the deepest part of the Grand Ruins, there is a Fragmented Law Nexus. But even an early-stage Prime Realm cultivator entering that nexus would face certain death. Brother Joe, your abilities are astonishing, but you must be careful."

Victor Kuang suspected that Joe Di might have already reached Prime Realm completion. If he knew Joe Di was only at late-stage Unity Realm, he probably wouldn't even mention the passage in the Grand Ruins. Late-stage Unity Realm entering the fifth layer of the Grand Ruins was certain death.

In fact, there was a passage in the Grand Ruins leading to the Immortal Realm, and many people had heard of it. But cultivators who actually managed to enter through that passage were virtually nonexistent. Knowing about it was one thing; being able to enter was another.

Joe Di cupped his fists and said, "Thank you, Brother Victor. I'm in a hurry to go to the Grand Ruins now, but I will return one day to share drinks with you."

Victor Kuang knew Joe Di must have something important to do in the Immortal Realm, so he didn't dare delay him. "Brother Joe, please go ahead. You can come find me at the Dao Domain Sect Alliance anytime."

......

Grand Ruins.

This was Joe Di's third time here. Although there were plenty of treasures, fewer and fewer cultivators came to test themselves. No matter how good the treasures, survival was the most important. Joe Di, however, had a special fondness for the Grand Ruins. The first time, he shaped his Dao here; the second time, he escaped Jaden Dai's pursuit and entered the ruins, refining his body and stepping into the Saint Body realm.

Not only that, he also obtained law fragments of various attributes and a Dao Fruit Orchard.

Joe Di rushed into the Grand Ruins again, and almost effortlessly reached the fourth layer.

Last time he reached the fourth layer, he had hidden in the Ninth World the whole time. The shattered law blades and Law Fragment Vortices of the fourth layer made it impossible for him to come out. Only after he attained the Saint Body could he move freely in the fourth layer and then reach the fifth layer.

He couldn't survive in the fifth layer of the Grand Ruins at all. Even after secluded cultivation to the Dao Nurturing stage in the Ninth World, he still couldn't survive in the fifth layer.

Now, Joe Di had reached late-stage Unity Realm, and his physical body had already surpassed the Saint Body. Although he hadn't advanced further, he had reached the pinnacle of the Saint Body. Joe Di believed he should be able to enter the fifth layer now.

Joe Di stepped into the fifth layer of the Grand Ruins, and that same vast power surged toward him once again.

Bang! Even though Joe Di was at the Unity Realm, he was struck head-on by this force, and his bones erupted with a series of cracking sounds.

However, as soon as Joe Di circulated his Rule Cycle, his fractured bones instantly healed.

Joe Di let out a breath of relief—he really could withstand it. The fifth layer of the Grand Ruins was truly different from the previous four. In the first four layers, aside from the Elemental Beast's poison, there were Law Fragment Vortices, Law Displacements, and slashing law fragments.

But in the fifth layer, the vast power striking him carried an aura that seemed to tear apart heaven and earth. Joe Di didn't know what the opening of heaven and earth was like, but if he did, he'd surely associate it with this aura.

Without a strong divine essence, divine sense, and physical body, one simply couldn't survive this relentless assault.

After the first terrifying wave of force, another violent surge swept over from the depths of the fifth layer's void. Di Jiu could sense the immense power, but he simply couldn't dodge it. It was as if, after entering this place, he had completely lost control over the space.

After several futile attempts to dodge, Di Jiu simply stopped trying to avoid the violent attacks. He extended his divine sense and steadily made his way toward the deepest part of the fifth layer.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Wave after wave of force swept over him, striking Joe Di again and again. His bones were repeatedly shattered, and blood mist exploded from his body. But with the Rule Cycle technique of the Titan Body Technique, Joe Di rapidly recovered each time.

At first, all Joe Di felt was the violent, world-tearing force. After several days, he vaguely sensed traces of broken law aura mixed within the force. Unlike the previous four layers, the laws here were sharper and completely lacked any smooth Dao rhythm. These law fragments weren't suitable for comprehension—they were more suited for forming a tearing attack.

On the eleventh day, the tattered Joe Di finally stopped. He saw a violent Fragmented Law Nexus.

Unlike a Law Fragment Vortex, there was a Fragmented Law Nexus about half a zhang across in front of Joe Di. His divine sense could clearly perceive the interwoven chaos of fragmented laws within it. Amid these jagged, shattered laws, Joe Di sensed the aura of death.

Joe Di suspected that, even with his formidable cultivation and a perfected Saint Body, entering this jagged Fragmented Law Nexus would be a near-certain death.

Joe Di didn't hesitate for long. He summoned the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram to shield himself and charged in. He didn't enter the Ninth World—not because he feared problems, but because he worried the Fragmented Law Nexus might throw him off course.

With the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram wrapped around him, Joe Di was immersed in the Fragmented Law Nexus, able to sense at any moment where it might sweep him. He was heading to the Immortal Realm, and from there to the space between realms—not to some other domain.

As soon as he charged into the Fragmented Law Nexus, Joe Di felt countless violent hammers pounding his body. Despite his cultivation and body refinement, this terrifying force made him spit out several streams of blood.

Joe Di was horrified. Even with the Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram shielding him, the Nexus's violent impact couldn't be fully blocked. If not for the diagram, he would've been pulverized already.

Could such a powerful Fragmented Law Nexus really lead to the Immortal Realm? Joe Di began to doubt.

The Yin-Yang Taiji Diagram hadn't completely blocked the chaotic impacts. Joe Di knew it wasn't that the diagram was lacking, but that his cultivation was too weak and he hadn't fully refined the diagram. Moreover, the fragmented laws here seemed even higher than the diagram's Path of Laws Dao rhythm.

Bang! Bang! One strike after another landed on Joe Di. At this point, he couldn't even control his direction—his divine sense couldn't penetrate out at all. In this chaotic Nexus, any attempt to extend his divine sense resulted in it being torn to shreds.

Joe Di sighed. He'd better enter the Ninth World—this was simply too torturous. Even with his strong recovery, he didn't want to suffer like this.

But in the next moment, Joe Di was stunned—his divine sense couldn't even communicate with the Ninth World.

The Ninth World was his own world, residing deep within his sea of consciousness, yet he couldn't reach it. It was simply absurd.
