The Grand Way's rules transformed into endless blades, slicing down within Joe Di's vast sea of consciousness. Joe Di instantly spat out a spray of blood, and the Ninth World was severed from his sea of consciousness.
A profound sadness surged forth, and Joe Di could distinctly feel that this sorrow came from the depths of his soul. The Ninth World was forged from his blood, his Grand Way, and even fused with his two most supreme treasures—it was truly a part of his life.
From the birth of the Ninth World until now, it had always accompanied him, saving him countless times and laying the foundation for his Grand Way again and again.
Yet today, he had to sever his own world—sever the Ninth World that had always been by his side.
This intense reluctance and sorrow nearly made Joe Di abandon his actions. He would rather give up pursuing a higher Grand Way, rather just find a place where no one could find him and live an ordinary life.
But Joe Di knew very well that this was impossible. Even if he wished for an ordinary life, there were still countless people who wanted him dead. They would find Joe Di and tear him to pieces.
"I'm sorry..." Joe Di murmured to himself, forcing himself not to dwell on the endless sorrow. Way Resonance surged again, and one Dao formula after another was cast out without pause. "Sever it for me!"
Boom! A massive crack appeared in the Ninth World. Lightning, hiding in a corner of the Ninth World, was terrified and had no idea what was happening. It quickly rushed out of the Ninth World and curled up beside Joe Di.
Joe Di sent all his belongings into the True Spirit World, and also sent the World Tree into the True Spirit World. As for Lightning, Joe Di did not send it there. This was the Chaotic World, a world he had not yet fully broken through; letting Lightning remain here, even if it gained only a trace of insight, would be immensely beneficial for the future. What made Joe Di feel a bit guilty was the World Tree; it had grown to a hundred zhang, but to save him, it was once again compressed back to just over ten zhang.
In Joe Di's True Spirit World, Weng Baigong stared blankly at the suddenly appearing green tree, about ten zhang tall, and muttered, "World Tree... I, Weng Baigong, have actually seen a living World Tree again... Wait, that's not right..."
Baker Wynn seemed to sense a hint of chaotic aura—the moment Joe Di sent the World Tree in, he caught it.
"Fellow Daoist Di..." Baker Wynn tried to ask.
Joe Di's voice came, "Fellow Daoist Wynn, do you need something?"
Baker Wynn quickly asked, "May I ask, Fellow Daoist Di, are you in the midst of chaos?"
"That's right. I've already left the Five Elements Universe and am now in the vast chaos. If there's nothing else, I need to cultivate." Joe Di had no time for idle chatter with Baker Wynn now.
Baker Wynn hurriedly said, "Fellow Daoist Di, I wish to venture into chaos on my own and try my luck. May I?"
After asking, Baker Wynn instinctively slapped himself. He had already sensed the World Tree; it would be strange if Joe Di let him leave.
To Baker Wynn's surprise, the next moment his body felt light, and he landed beside Joe Di.
"Fellow Daoist Wynn, this is the chaotic realm I've split open, though I haven't fully parted it yet. Soon, I may have to stake my life. It's better for you to leave. However, you can't remain in my realm; you need to leave this chaotic realm I haven't finished splitting and enter the chaos outside." Joe Di said slowly.
"Fellow Daoist Di, you're willing to let me go?" Baker Wynn said, unable to hide his excitement.
Joe Di chuckled, "Why wouldn't I let you go?"
Joe Di understood Baker Wynn's meaning. Baker Wynn knew he was proving his Dao in chaos and that he possessed the World Tree. Anyone else would likely have silenced him immediately. But Joe Di had never considered such a thing; now that he had realized true strength, he disdained such acts. Even before, he couldn't be bothered to do it.
"Thank you, Brother Di. If I, Baker Wynn, survive in chaos, I will surely serve at your side in the future." Baker Wynn dared not say another word; Joe Di sparing him was a tremendous stroke of fortune.
"Fellow Daoist Wynn, cross my Lethe Bridge. At the edge of the bridge, there's a crack in this realm—though not fully opened, it's enough for you to leave." Joe Di pointed to the Lethe Bridge stretching into the distance.
Lethe Bridge? Baker Wynn quickly thanked him again and sped across. For others, any leak of information could mean death. Now, he dared not say a word more.
"Old Master Di?" Bolt suddenly said, "I want to try my luck in chaos too."
Joe Di looked at Bolt in surprise, then realized Bolt might be better suited for chaos. He immediately said, "Go ahead. Don't worry about anything—your origins are extraordinary. In chaos, you'll surely gain something."
"Yes." Bolt excitedly dashed along the Lethe Bridge.
Once Bolt and Baker Wynn had both rushed out of his realm and into the vast chaos, Joe Di finally let out a slow breath.
Whether life or death, he no longer had a choice.
The sorrow brought by the Ninth World increasingly affected his will. Joe Di forced himself to suppress his reluctance, hardened his heart, and Way Resonance flowed once more, transforming into a wild, tearing, invisible Blade Curtain that crashed down.
Crack! The Ninth World was completely split apart, and tears streamed from Joe Di's eyes.
The Azure Veil Blade shattered, and so did the Ninth World—both broken because of him. The Ninth World was torn apart and severed by his own hands!
Was his Grand Way really meant to slowly tear apart everything that had accompanied him? Was his Grand Way truly about such ruthless, heartless actions?
What use was such a Grand Way? Might as well go together with his Azure Veil Blade and Ninth World.
Way or not, man or not—pity us all, for how much we must endure!
Living was already torment enough; for the sake of the Grand Way, that torment was even harder to bear.
Joe Di slowly raised his hand, pressing it to his brow. Only by leaving with the Ninth World, only by leaving with the Azure Veil Blade, could he be freed from this torment.

The rules of the cosmos carried a stream of clarity, and Joe Di instinctively shivered and suddenly opened his eyes.
"Thank you, World Tree—you've saved me once again!" Joe Di clenched his fists; he had actually fallen into a Heart Demon Tribulation.
The moment the Ninth World shattered was when his mind was at its weakest.
Boom, boom, boom! The Dao laws of the Ninth World continued to collapse, mountains and rivers crumbling like everything else, yet Joe Di's heart remained utterly calm.
The sorrow had passed, the world had been severed. Now, he would build a new world for himself.
Joe Di stood on the Lethe Bridge, looking at the chaotic realm not yet completely torn apart, and slowly extended his fist: "Today, I, Joe Di, prove my Dao in the vast chaos! I will fuse my own world!
My world, fused by my own Dao laws!
My world, bound by no universe!
My world, exists because of me!
My world—complete!
As the final word rang out, Way Resonance surged around Joe Di. Endless chaotic Dao laws swept toward him, and his cultivation soared. Every moment, countless laws condensed into various world rules around him, and these rules continuously perfected Joe Di's world.
As the outline of that world first took shape, Joe Di roared and stepped off the Lethe Bridge, then threw another punch.
"My world exists because of me! Chaos is opened by me—strike!"
His fists surged forth; even the Divine Peak he once mastered was now blasted with such force that it tore through chaos!
Boom, boom, boom! The surging peaks of his fists exploded at the edge of chaos in this realm. The chaotic realm he once exhausted his life to break open was now shattered by his relentless, furious punches, and the roaring continued without end.
Every barrier between chaotic realms was reduced to dust by this single punch.
