Sean Hayes patted the Scarlet Cannon and ordered the Black Armor Qin Troops beside him, "Light it up—fire!"
"Yes, General Sean!"
On the opposite side, Eric Qian’s fleet was still desperately trying to get within catapult range when they suddenly heard a series of thunderous booms from the enemy ships. Before Eric could figure out what was happening, his men shouted in panic, "Bad news! The ship’s been blasted apart—it’s on fire!"
Eric Qian jumped up in shock and looked around, only to find that three of his ships had been punched through by something, already catching fire and starting to sink.
"Damn it, what the hell is that?! Do they have catapults too?!" Eric Qian cursed, stomping his feet in frustration.
One of his men, eyes glued to Sean Hayes’s fleet, stammered, "Boss, look—over there, their ships have all these black tubes, like smoking chimneys! I think they’re using those black tubes to shoot at us!"
"Black tubes? What are you talking about?" Eric Qian crawled to the edge of the ship and squinted into the distance. Without anything as fancy as a telescope, he had to rely on his own eyes to see the enemy fleet, all lined up with those black tubes aimed straight at them. Every time smoke puffed out and there was a bang, something shot out—flying incredibly far!
"That’s no catapult—I’ve never seen anything like it!" Eric Qian was still baffled when several more ships took a direct hit.
On the other side, Sean Hayes peered through his telescope and spotted Eric Qian. He shouted loudly, "Eric Qian! I am General Sean Hayes under Prince Alexander! You dress up as a pirate, thinking you can snatch our cargo? Dream on!"
Eric Qian jumped in fright—he hadn’t expected General Sean Hayes himself to show up. This was bad!
