Begging You

The ship sailed across the surface of the sea.

All around was pitch black.

No one said a word, but every single person looked at Evan Lin with a new hint of caution in their eyes.

This Master Lin from Seacrest really had a way of doing things—way too bold!

Luckily, after the anomaly faded, nothing else went wrong.

The black Lyria Blossom over Evan's heart kept spinning on its own.

Beside him, Bella Xiao glanced at him with a hint of worry.

Then, out of nowhere, the entire ship suddenly dipped forward, plunging straight down into the sea.

The pitch-black seawater swallowed the whole ship completely.

Everyone onboard felt the world spinning, thunder roaring endlessly in their ears.

When they opened their eyes again, the ship had stopped. All around them looked like a rocky cave.

"We're here! This is the legendary entrance to the Immortal Lady's Tomb!"

The Wang family patriarch, still dizzy and dazed, stepped forward at this moment.

No sooner had he finished speaking, the pitch-black cave suddenly lit up with oil lamps all around.

The flames on the oil lamps seemed to appear out of thin air.

"Now that we're here, Bella Xiao, you'd better keep a close eye on your Master Lin from Seacrest! If he messes around again, he'll get us all killed—not just himself!"

The Liang family patriarch, who hadn't spoken until now, stepped forward and shot Evan Lin an annoyed look.

After he finished, he pulled out a compass. The moment it touched his hand—

"If I were you, I'd shut up right now, do nothing, and save my strength."

"And I definitely wouldn't be dumb enough to take out a compass in a place like this. If you attract something over, it'll be bad news."

A calm, youthful voice drifted into everyone's ears.

"What do you know! That's the Liang family patriarch's Heaven-and-Earth Compass! It's got the power to anchor winds and control tombs! Without it, we can't even get into the Immortal Lady's Tomb!" someone immediately shouted, full of dissatisfaction.

"That's right! So what if you're Master Lin from Seacrest and strong? This kind of grave-keeping secret art isn't something ordinary people can understand!" another person chimed in.

"If you hadn't gone into the cabin earlier, that anomaly wouldn't have happened. Luckily it wasn't dangerous, but if it had been, all of us could've died because of you!"

"Besides, it's a compass! It's for finding positions! How could it possibly attract anything unclean? Are you stupid or what?"

A whole crowd kept mocking Evan Lin from every angle.

"When it comes to tomb fengshui, our grave-keeper families know way more than your Master Lin from Seacrest!"

Harold Wang, the Wang family patriarch, snorted coldly. "Besides, once we're inside the tomb, what else are we supposed to look at if not the compass?"

"You really think the path ahead is just a road? Without the compass to guide us, once we enter the tomb, you're as good as gone!"

Everyone kept talking, and the way they looked at Evan Lin was exactly how you'd look at an outsider.
