"Why am I here?"
Granny Sue stepped out of the hut, choking back tears. "I worked so hard to raise you, and you just ran off with a fox spirit without a word, leaving me all alone. And you have the nerve to ask why I'm here? Now that your wings have grown, you don't need your granny anymore, just that fox spirit! Little fox girl, how do you want to die?"
Quinn hurriedly smiled, "Granny, you've misunderstood. I happened to run into Lina the Spirit Fox, and she mentioned the Yong River Dragon Palace, so I went to take a look. I got so caught up studying the true dragon in the palace that I lost track of time and stayed there for two extra days."
"Not two days—four! Wait, did you say you were studying the true dragon?"
Granny Sue stared in surprise. "The little fox girl didn't drain your cultivation, didn't absorb your yuanqi?"
Lina shrank behind Quinn, shy and fearful.
Quinn activated his yuanqi and smiled, "Granny, just watch!"
A low dragon's roar echoed out. Quinn's yuanqi surged forth, twisting into a massive dragon that coiled around his body. Two draconic claws fused with his arms, and as Quinn moved, he punched out—BOOM! Thunder boomed, reverberating through the valley.
He threw punch after punch, each thunderous boom rolling through the valley—crashing, rumbling, shaking the air without pause!
"Azure Dragon yuanqi!"
