Cici only felt like her stomach was completely rebelling.
It was just nausea a few days ago, but today it hit her full force.
She hadn't eaten anything unusual, had she?
The snacks Mom made—she'd had them plenty of times before and never gotten sick.
Besides, anything Mom personally prepared was always clean and safe.
There was absolutely no way anything could go wrong.
So why did her stomach feel like it was about to explode?
Cici had wanted to end this grand proposal ceremony perfectly, but she just couldn't hold it in any longer.
The bathroom was right next door. Cici dashed in, dropped to her knees, and threw up into the toilet without caring about anything else.
The next second, Charles Yin burst in like a madman, dropped to his knees beside her, and started rubbing her back nonstop.
Charles Yin's face went pale with fright.
His mind went blank and he blurted out a really dumb question: "Cici, did you eat something bad?"
Cici was just as confused and replied, "I don't know! I've been feeling nauseous these past few days, but I didn't throw up until now. I don't know what's going on... Charles, go out, I still need to throw up..."
Like Charles would ever leave her side.
He quickly fetched some water and brought it over for Cici to rinse her mouth.
Cici reached out for the fruit tea and rinsed her mouth thoroughly.
The light, fruity aroma finally helped suppress her urge to vomit.
By now, a crowd had already gathered at the bathroom door.
Mrs. Yun beamed and said, "Oh my, still can't hold it down, huh!"
Huh? What does she mean by that?
"Mom, I feel awful. Was today's food leftovers from yesterday? Why do I feel so sick?" Cici couldn't help but say, "I've been feeling a bit nauseous these past few days, but never this bad."
Mrs. Yun helped Cici freshen up and said, "Come with me back to the room."
Cici was baffled. "Huh?"
Mrs. Yun told Charles, "You come too."
Charles looked just as bewildered. "Huh?"
Mrs. Yun led them both into the inner room, took out a small pillow for Cici to rest her wrist on, then checked her pulse. Satisfied, she nodded and said, "Very good, the fetus is stable. This pregnancy is finally secure, all thanks to the snacks I've made to help you keep the baby. Last time you gave birth, your body was weakened, so this pregnancy was expected to be risky. But you've always been healthy, and after three years of my care, you've mostly recovered. Now, after a few days of special snacks with stabilizing herbs, and with you starting to get morning sickness today, it means the pregnancy is truly settled."
Mrs. Yun's words left Cici and Charles so stunned that they couldn't react for a long time.
Wait a minute...
Excuse me...
Mom, can you say that again?
Cici stared blankly at Mrs. Yun. "Mom?"
Charles instinctively glanced at Cici's belly. He was so overwhelmed by sudden joy that he couldn't speak.
Cici... is pregnant?
She really is pregnant again?
Charles was so happy he could fly. He didn't care that Mrs. Yun was still there—he hugged Cici tight and kissed her cheek. "Honey, you’ve been through so much!"
Only then did Cici snap out of it. She touched her stomach, still in disbelief. "I thought my body couldn’t get pregnant again?"
Mrs. Yun smiled and said, "That's true, normally it would be hard for you to have a second child. But all those snacks you’ve eaten over the years were made with special herbs to help your body. Plus, you’re still young, so this pregnancy went smoothly. But your body can’t handle a third one, so you two need to be careful."
"No way, no way, two kids are enough!" Charles was so happy he was practically babbling.
The dignified CEO was now as giddy as a child, his eyes shining with happy tears.
News of Cici's pregnancy exploded among the guests.
Everyone rushed to congratulate Cici and Charles on the new baby.
The news quickly reached the Yin Family. Everyone there was so thrilled, they bought three pages in the local newspaper to announce the new heir. Grandma Evelyn Yin even transferred some of her assets to Cici as a gift for having another child.
Others also sent plenty of gifts. The Yun and Yin families were celebrating like never before.
But the happiest of all was Miles Gu.
His little wife was finally on the way!
Cici's birthday party now had another reason to celebrate—her pregnancy.
Everyone who had already given gifts hurried to prepare another round of presents.
Cici was practically drowning in gifts today.
By the end of the day, Cici felt like she was dreaming.
Was she really pregnant again?
This pregnancy was different from last time—everyone was sending blessings her way. Even though the morning sickness was awful, it didn’t seem so bad anymore.
With the news out, the three-day banquet originally planned for Cici was changed. The Yun and Yin families insisted she rest for the baby's sake, so for the next two days, she just made a brief appearance before heading back to her room.
Charles even ignored their two sons, sticking to Cici’s side and stealing all the assistants’ jobs.
Cici couldn’t help but laugh. "You’re the head of the Yin Family—why are you hanging around here instead of socializing?"
Charles lounged nearby, reading guides for expectant moms and dads. "I’m worried those women who want to climb the social ladder will use you as an excuse to cause trouble. As long as I’m here, they don’t stand a chance!"
"But we still need to find someone suitable for Ethan Yin. Why don’t you help me pick?" Cici teased.

Charles sighed, reluctantly put down his book, and patted Cici’s head. "Alright, just take care of yourself and don’t overdo it. Otherwise, I’ll blacklist their whole family!"
Cici couldn’t help but laugh and nodded. "Okay, I got it!"
Only then did Charles reluctantly leave.
Sure enough, as soon as Charles left, several girls showed up with the excuse of visiting Cici.
Seeing the girls all dressed up, Cici smiled and said, "Sorry, I was planning to host you properly, but I just found out I’m pregnant again. My family won’t let me overexert myself, so I hope you’ll understand."
The pretty girls quickly replied, "Oh, not at all! It’s an honor just to be here. You’re so respected, and now you’re expecting—we wouldn’t dream of letting you tire yourself out."
Cici had them sit on the sofa opposite her, lounging as she secretly sized up which girl might be best for Ethan Yin.
The girls were eager to show off. Even if Cici didn’t ask, they introduced themselves enthusiastically.
Marrying into the Yin Family was every woman’s dream.
The eldest Yin son was off the market, but the second son was still fair game.
After the introductions, the girls left and a new batch arrived.
It was like everyone was in on it—one group after another came by.
After meeting several groups, Cici started feeling tired. She turned to Wendy and asked, "Did you remember all those girls?"
