Seeking a Doctor, Ninth Royal Uncle’s Tender Care

2/14/2026

"Serena's hands can be treated," Dr. Redwater said.

"That's wonderful!" Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Serena couldn't hide her joy, and even Prince Nolan's expression softened a little.

"But..." Dr. Redwater suddenly changed the topic, and everyone's good mood instantly vanished.

"But what?" asked the Master of the Mystic Healer Valley.

He was in the most awkward position—hoping Dr. Redwater could heal Serena, yet still annoyed that Redwater had embarrassed him.

Dr. Redwater wanted to show off, but Prince Nolan's blade-like stare left him no room to hide anything. He had to explain immediately: "However, it's impossible to restore them completely to their original state."

"How can that be?" Serena and Prince Nolan were both disappointed. They exchanged a glance, unsure what to do next.

"Tsk..." Dorian Owen looked utterly disdainful. "If we'd known you only had this much ability, we wouldn't have waited around for you. Your diagnosis is exactly the same as the Master of the Mystic Healer Valley's."

Zed made it clear he looked down on Dr. Redwater, and Redwater couldn't stand it. He retorted immediately, "How could it be the same? The Valley Master said Serena's hand would go numb after holding a scalpel for more than an hour. I can let her hold it for more than two hours, even up to four!"

In other words, Serena could easily perform any surgery that lasted under eight hours.

"Are you serious?" Serena, who hadn't been excited a moment ago, now couldn't help herself.

Dr. Redwater was too much—he never said everything at once, making her emotions ride a roller coaster, up and down.

"Of course I'm serious. If I dare say it, I can do it," Dr. Redwater said, straightening up with a look of pride.

Of course, his display was for the Master of the Mystic Healer Valley to see.

The Valley Master was furious, but couldn't show it in front of Prince Nolan, so he just snorted and turned his face away from Dr. Redwater.

Dr. Redwater didn't mind; he was in a great mood. For years, he'd been overshadowed by the Valley Master, but now he finally had a chance to show off.

The rivalry between the two was obvious. Prince Nolan watched coldly, not interfering at all, only saying, "If that's the case, then begin treatment."

"Not yet. Before treatment, I need to find a few herbs. Acupuncture combined with a medicinal bath is the only way to restore Serena's hands to their original dexterity." Dr. Redwater hadn't planned to be so serious, but wanting to outdo the Valley Master made him take it very seriously.

"What herbs do you need? I'll send someone to get them. If they exist in the Nine Provinces Realm, I can get them for you," Prince Nolan said.

"No need. I grow the herbs I need myself. I'll go fetch them. The ones outside aren't as effective as mine," Dr. Redwater said. He and Dr. Marcus Guile had secured an excellent plot of land; the herbs they grew were far superior to anything from outside.
