The Unbreakable Tower

2/14/2026

The Blue Clan Patriarch stared at the Vice Alliance Master and said, "Evan Yang, a beggar."

"No such person?" The Blue Clan Patriarch and Benson Blue exchanged glances, while the eight others behind them wondered if they'd been tricked into coming here.

Benson Blue refused to give up and quickly said, "Impossible. I've already investigated. Years ago, he came here with someone and never left."

"Oh? Who told you that?" The Vice Alliance Master hadn’t expected there to be an insider in the Free Alliance. Hearing this, he was startled, but his expression remained stern.

"We have our own ways." Benson Blue would never reveal the source—otherwise that person would be finished in the Free Alliance.

"If you won’t say, then you have no evidence. Without evidence, you want to search or demand we hand someone over? Isn’t that laughable?" The Vice Alliance Master sneered when the other side refused to answer.

"Is the Free Alliance really going to oppose our Blue Clan?" Benson Blue said angrily.

"It’s not what we want—it’s what your Blue Clan wants." The Vice Alliance Master snorted coldly.

Benson Blue, furious and disregarding his status, said, "What is your position in the Free Alliance? What gives you the right to speak for the Alliance? Bring out someone who actually has authority."

The Blue Clan Patriarch and the others behind him all stared at the Free Alliance members with predatory eyes.

The Vice Alliance Master sneered, "I am the Vice Alliance Master of the Free Alliance. Not sure if that's qualified enough?"

Vice Alliance Master? The top authority under the Alliance Master. Benson Blue and the Blue Clan Patriarch stared at him in shock, unable to imagine that the one so determined to protect Evan Yang was actually the Vice Alliance Master.

Knowing he was the Vice Alliance Master, Benson Blue softened his tone and said, "I didn't expect you to be the Vice Alliance Master of the Free Alliance. It's an honor."

"Your Blue Clan is recognized as the number one family on the continent. Meeting you is the real honor." The Vice Alliance Master replied with a smile.

At this moment, Benson Blue and the Blue Clan Patriarch were deeply frustrated. They had come to test the waters, and if that failed, to force their way in. But who knew that the person before them was the Vice Alliance Master, so tough that he gave them no chance at all.

"The Free Alliance and our Blue Clan are both powerful. We don’t want disorder between us over one person, letting others take advantage." Benson Blue said calmly, mainly because the other party was the Vice Alliance Master, a figure who could represent the Alliance.

The Vice Alliance Master, giving no face at all, was determined to protect Evan Yang. No matter what, he wouldn’t hand him over, so he directly laughed and said, "I’d like to help, but there’s no such person here. You can leave now."

The Blue Clan and their helpers exchanged glances—this Vice Alliance Master was really hard to deal with. Did they not fear that the Blue Clan might actually take action?

"Can you really speak for the entire Free Alliance?" Benson Blue asked, unable to keep his composure.

"I can. My will is the Free Alliance's will. If I say there's no such person, then there's no such person. Whether chaos breaks out and lets others take advantage depends on your Blue Clan's choice." The Vice Alliance Master pushed the issue right back onto the Blue Clan. If they really started a fight, the Free Alliance would have every reason to retaliate.

The Blue Clan Patriarch and Benson Blue immediately understood: if they made a move now, it would mark the moment the Blue Clan and the Free Alliance truly went to war.

Both sides fell silent. Seven stood with the Free Alliance, ten with the Blue Clan. The numbers differed, but the Alliance had plenty of experts—and if its two hidden powerhouses really intervened, the ten would be no match, giving the Alliance grounds to strike back.

"Damn it, this Free Alliance really isn't giving us any face at all," Benson Blue transmitted to the Blue Clan Patriarch.

"Looks like they're dead set on protecting that stinking beggar," the Blue Clan Patriarch transmitted back, furious.

"So what now?" Benson Blue couldn't decide and pushed the responsibility onto the Blue Clan Patriarch.

The Blue Clan Patriarch had to capture Evan Yang. If he failed, the Blue Clan would face an even stronger Evan Yang in the future—finding him then would be even harder. Today, the Free Alliance had to give an answer. If Evan wasn't here, the Blue Clan would risk everything.

"If the Free Alliance won't let us, we'll search ourselves." The Blue Clan Patriarch snorted. The others were startled at first, but with the Blue Clan's powerful backing, their courage grew.

All ten launched an attack against the seven.

"Damn it, your Blue Clan started this!" The Vice Alliance Master had expected this, but not so soon. He snorted coldly.

"You forced us into this." The Blue Clan Patriarch snorted.

Ten against seven—and they weren’t meant to defeat the seven, just to contain them. That was exactly what the Blue Clan Patriarch intended: to trap them without causing harm, while he and Benson Blue slipped into the formation behind.

Eight stayed behind to confront the seven, preventing them from interfering with the Blue Clan Patriarch and Benson Blue.

"Not good!" The Vice Alliance Master was shocked when he realized the Blue Clan Patriarch’s intent, but two experts beside him kept him engaged, preventing him from following.

As a result, the Blue Clan Patriarch and Benson Blue quickly entered the formation.

"How do we get inside now?" The Blue Clan Patriarch asked curiously.

"Don’t worry. My friend already told me the route." Benson Blue smiled, then followed the path as instructed, leading them through the formation.

The Blue Clan Patriarch followed closely, until they reached a cave. The two entered and found many tunnels, with people cultivating inside. However, all of them were below the Spirit-Wandering Realm, so the Blue Clan Patriarch and Benson Blue easily avoided them.

They arrived at a grand hall, with the words "Free Alliance" written in large characters.

"Now what?" The Blue Clan Patriarch asked, curious.

"Next, I don’t know either. No one knows where that stinking beggar is." Benson Blue shook his head. He only knew Evan Yang had been here and how to get inside, but not Evan’s exact location.

"That’s troublesome." The Blue Clan Patriarch frowned.

"Let’s hurry and search one by one. Hopefully the eight outside can keep them busy." Benson Blue was helpless—he could only look for Evan Yang, then make a move once he found him.

The Blue Clan Patriarch nodded, and the two began searching the tunnels, occasionally entering other chambers.

The interior wasn’t too complex. The two Spirit-Wandering experts soon found a special chamber—lit, with water, mountains, and most striking of all, a tower: the Sky-Piercing Tower.

"The Sky-Piercing Tower!" Benson Blue exclaimed.

"What’s the matter?" The Blue Clan Patriarch asked, thinking it was just an ordinary tower.

"My friend said the Sky-Piercing Tower is the most mysterious place in the Free Alliance. The two strongest figures in the Alliance emerged from inside it." Benson Blue’s deepest impression of the Alliance base was this mysterious tower.

"He’s not in there, is he?" The Blue Clan Patriarch asked, suspicious after hearing it was the most mysterious place.

Benson Blue exclaimed, "Maybe."

"Let's go." The Blue Clan Patriarch was already desperate to catch Evan Yang, determined not to let him advance any further.

Benson Blue nodded, and the two dashed over to the tower, only to find it completely sealed.

"Let me try." The Blue Clan Patriarch approached the tower's door and struck it with a powerful attack.

It was utterly useless. Benson Blue stepped up and tried as well, but it was just as ineffective.

"Damn it, even the tower door is this hard to open!" The Blue Clan Patriarch cursed after seeing Benson Blue fail.

"Let's try attacking together." Benson Blue suggested after a moment's thought.

The Blue Clan Patriarch nodded, and both of them unleashed their full strength against the tower.

The tower only trembled slightly, showing no signs of opening—the door remained firmly shut.

"What the—!" The two were stunned by the tower's unyielding strength.

"Use the Blue Clan’s strongest attack artifact." The Blue Clan Patriarch said after seeing their combined attacks fail.

"That artifact is incredibly powerful. With both of us, we can unleash four times the combined attack." Benson Blue exclaimed.

"Exactly, so let’s try it." The Blue Clan Patriarch replied, then took out an artifact.

The artifact resembled a horn, with the small end facing the Blue Clan Patriarch and Benson Blue.

Under the Blue Clan Patriarch’s control, the artifact instantly grew larger—the opening was as big as a human head. Both nodded, and as the Patriarch controlled the artifact, they poured their full attack into it.

On the other side, the force was multiplied. The two’s combined force was like a single person’s fourfold attack.

Fourfold attack—their power was doubled, and the tower shook even more violently than before.

Even the surrounding ground moved, water erupted, and the whole space seemed to shake.

But still, the tower door couldn’t be breached.

"What kind of tower is this!" The Blue Clan Patriarch was shocked; Benson Blue was too. They stopped attacking—the flowers and grass around them were in disarray, but the tower stood firm. The door they'd attacked showed no trace of damage, as if nothing had happened.

Even the power of four Spirit-Wandering experts couldn’t break the tower’s door. Its toughness was astonishing.

The two began to ponder how to solve this. Especially since they didn’t have much time—if those two appeared, they’d be in trouble.

"Are we really just going to give up?" The Blue Clan Patriarch wondered inwardly. He was unwilling; if they gave up, not only would they fail to capture Evan Yang, but the Blue Clan would suffer and relations with the Free Alliance would be ruined.

Benson Blue felt the same way. The goal was to capture Evan Yang, so they’d have leverage in negotiations with the Free Alliance. At least the Blue Clan was only here to capture someone who had harmed them.

But now, there was no person and no evidence. The result: the Free Alliance would hold the Blue Clan accountable.

The people the Blue Clan had hired weren’t true clan members—they were just helping. They wouldn’t help forever, and certainly wouldn’t stand with the Blue Clan against the Free Alliance’s wrath.

"Make a decision." Benson Blue said, taking a deep breath.

"Can we take the whole tower away—with Evan Yang inside?" The Blue Clan Patriarch just couldn’t let go, especially not of Evan Yang inside the tower.
