Minghai Turmoil

"What are you doing!"

As soon as the fat driver gave the order, all the burly men sitting up front instantly stood up. Without a word, they reached out and started stripping Leo Li and the others of their clothes.

"What the hell do you want? Why do you just do whatever that damn driver says?"

Leo Li got slapped across the face.

"Cut the crap! He's our uncle. Say another word and I'll slap you again!" Donny D snarled, glaring at Leo Li.

Leo Li was intimidated by his ferocity and didn't dare make another move.

Faye Zheng stood off to the side, watching as Leo Li and the others were swiftly stripped down to nothing but their underwear by the burly men. They shivered all over.

Her face changed. Surrounded by these predatory men, her gaze shifted and landed on Evan Lin, still sitting up front, chatting happily with a pretty girl. She pointed at him and shouted, "What about him! He was with us too! Why aren't you throwing him off the bus?"

Shawn Shi turned and glanced at Evan Lin. "Oh, him? He's with Big Tank's crew. You're Oceanport. It's not the same thing."

Outside, it was a world of ice and snow, the wind bitterly cold.

Once outside, they were frozen stiff.

Faye Zheng, standing off to the side, looked on with shock and doubt in her eyes.

"Don't worry, girl. We've got our principles—we don't usually mess with women." Shawn Shi glanced at Faye Zheng and grinned, his smile ugly and twisted.

Faye Zheng thought that was the end of it. She was already planning to hire a car in Minghai to pick up Leo Li and the others later.

But she never expected that Shawn Shi, with his ugly grin, would look straight at her and say, "So why don't you crawl out yourself?"

"Just go through that window. You've got a small butt and not much up top—it'll be easy for you."

Shawn Shi's words almost made Faye Zheng want to cough up blood.

Her face changed. Surrounded by these predatory men, her gaze shifted and landed on Lin Yi, still sitting up front, chatting happily with a pretty girl. She pointed at him and shouted, "What about him! He was with us too! Why aren't you throwing him off the bus?"

Shawn Shi turned and glanced at Lin Yi. "Oh, him? He's with Big Tank's crew. You're Oceanport. It's not the same thing."

"Enough talk. Get off."

Shawn Shi waved his hand, and someone immediately stepped forward.

Seeing this, Faye Zheng felt both humiliated and furious, but didn't dare hesitate. She climbed out through the bus window.

As soon as she landed, she saw someone inside the bus quickly pull out a fresh pane of glass and repair the broken rear window.

The bus roared to life and rumbled off into the distance, disappearing from her view.

"Damn, damn, damn! I'm freezing to death out here!"

The second-generation heirs huddled together for warmth, shivering in their underwear in the freezing wind.

"Bandits! They're all bandits! I've never seen a driver like this—who the hell does he think he is?"

Another guy cursed under his breath.

They were stranded in the middle of nowhere, snow falling all around, not a single car in sight.

Leo Li, who used to swagger through Oceanport, was now shivering like a stray dog—so much for his Mystic Arts Adept dignity.

Of everyone stranded, only Faye Zheng still had her clothes on, but even she was freezing.

"Did anyone get the license plate number?"

Leo Li gritted his teeth and glared at the others, but they all shook their heads—nobody had the presence of mind to remember a license plate.

"Fine, I'll try my phone and see if I can call the cops. At least maybe they'll get us to Minghai—there's not a single car out here!"

Faye Zheng forced herself to calm down, but when she pulled out her iPhone, she found it wouldn't turn on at all.

"What's wrong? Hurry up and call!" Leo Li urged, getting anxious.

"iPhones shut down automatically in low temperatures. You can't turn it on unless you warm it up first..."

Faye Zheng looked miserable.

...

After dumping Faye Zheng and the others, the bus swapped drivers.
