Genesis Opening Incantation Versus Primordial Voidshatter Finger

12/19/2025

Joe Di could tell at a glance that Elijah Wells was not a match for the opponent. Elijah seemed to be only at the early Genesis Realm, and not only that, his injuries hadn’t healed yet. How could he possibly fight this guy?

Before the two could start fighting, Joe Di had already stepped forward.

"Grandpa Di, that bastard came in and kicked down our tavern’s sign! I tried to reason with him, but he ignored me and beat me up instead." Seeing Joe Di appear, Bolt immediately began complaining, tears and snot streaming down his face.

At this moment, all eyes fell on Joe Di—not just the tall, burly man, but every cultivator who had come to watch the commotion fixed their gaze upon him.

Bolt might have strutted around this area, looking respected by everyone. But in truth, aside from the eighth-rank Divine Protection Array here, the real reason for the respect was the so-called Grandpa Di—owner of the Mountainview Tavern.

To open a tavern in the Mountainview Forbidden Zone and set up an eighth-rank Divine Protection Array—such a powerful figure was certainly no ordinary person. Many cultivators came to the forbidden zone, but none had truly seen the master behind the scenes. Now that Joe Di had appeared, he naturally drew everyone’s attention. All wanted to know: just how formidable was this Grandpa Di?

The one watching Joe Di most closely was Elijah Wells. When Elijah saw Joe Di, a trace of disappointment flashed in his eyes. He hadn’t come here because he had plenty of Five Elements Chaos Essence to spare, but because someone dared open a tavern here, even with an eighth-rank Divine Protection Array—clearly not an ordinary person. He had only one purpose for coming: seeking shelter.

Now it seemed he had misjudged. Judging by the Dao Rhyme fluctuations around Joe Di, he was definitely not above the Genesis Realm—he might even be just at the Prime Realm. No wonder Joe Di hadn’t come out for so long, letting Bolt hold the fort outside; his strength was simply too weak.

As for now, Joe Di had nowhere left to hide, and had no choice but to step out. With his tavern about to be torn down, could he really stay inside any longer?

"Are you the proprietor here?" The tall man’s gaze landed on Joe Di, his tone indifferent. In fact, he was disappointed too. To dare open a tavern here and set up a high-level Divine Protection Array—he’d thought some great expert was behind it. But it turned out to be just a lowly Genesis Realm ant.

Joe Di replied coolly, "Have I ever offended you? Or do I owe you Divine Crystals or Dao Pills? Or have I stolen your cave abode?"

"No," the tall man answered bluntly.

If Joe Di were someone he feared, the man might have said, "You sheltered my enemy, letting him hide in your tavern." But with Joe Di’s meager cultivation, he couldn’t even be bothered to explain.

Joe Di nodded. "In that case, I’m relieved."

As soon as he finished speaking, Joe Di’s Azure Veil Blade slashed out, his domain surging forth without the slightest restraint.

Crack! The tall man felt his domain shatter inch by inch, as a suffocating aura of death enveloped him.

How could this be? The opponent was clearly just a lowly Genesis Realm ant—how could his domain tear apart mine? Even if I’m not using my full strength, I’m still a Genesis Perfection expert, once even a supreme cultivator who stepped into the third realm.

His third step was nothing like ordinary cultivators’. He had truly comprehended his own Dao Rhyme before stepping into the third realm. Such a third step made him a powerhouse among third-realm cultivators.

In his haste, the tall man couldn’t care about anything else. Gathering all his strength, he unleashed a finger strike.

Crack! Under that finger, Joe Di’s domain shattered instantly. In that moment, Joe Di felt as if the entire universe was compressed beneath that strike. Even his Rule-Severing Divine Art couldn’t find a trace of cosmic law in the attack. Without the laws of heaven and earth, his blade art was powerless to sever any divine rule.

That finger seemed to erupt from the Primordial Era itself, in this moment tearing through the laws, the universe, and all traces of life.

Since stepping into the second realm, this was the first time Joe Di had felt death so close.

Joe Di’s Azure Veil Blade Dao Rhyme suddenly halted, and a giant brush appeared in the void. The brush swept out waves of Dao Rhyme, each stroke seeming alive, and in an instant, it painted a massive character for "Death" in the air.

Sun and moon do not wait; in a single thought, all falls to ruin!

In this universe, if I decree your death, then you must die!

Boom! Violent Dao Rhyme and divine energy collided. Even though Joe Di’s cave abode was a supreme artifact, it was blasted apart. Cultivators watching from afar were swept up by the raging divine energy—those with weaker cultivation nearly lost half their bodies, while even the stronger ones were sent flying.

Bang! The universe-shattering finger struck the "Death" glyph, and the Dao Rhyme of the glyph instantly scattered.

Yet that finger was not completely destroyed; its lingering force still struck Joe Di’s chest.

Bang! A bloody mark appeared on Joe Di’s chest, and the surging energy nearly made him spit a jet of blood. Joe Di was secretly shocked—he had only just grasped the Genesis Opening Incantation Divine Art, and his cultivation was limited, unable to unleash even one percent of its power. Yet this opponent’s finger technique was the most terrifying divine art he had ever encountered.

Just what kind of finger technique was that?

Joe Di was stunned, but the one even more shocked was the tall cultivator who had unleashed the finger strike. He stared blankly at Joe Di. Since his debut, this was the first time he’d seen someone several realms below him withstand his Primordial Voidshatter Finger head-on.

That ‘Death’ glyph divine art was terrifyingly strong—if Joe Di’s cultivation were a bit higher, it wouldn’t be the Primordial Voidshatter Finger breaking the glyph, but the glyph crushing him to pieces.

But what shocked him most was that, after his Primordial Voidshatter Finger tore apart Joe Di’s divine art and struck him, Joe Di seemed completely unfazed. What kind of physique was this? Even a Sacred Body couldn’t be this powerful!

"Who exactly are you?" The tall man took a deep breath, no longer attacking Joe Di. With such power, Joe Di was no ordinary cultivator.

Joe Di burst into hearty laughter, tossing out formation flags. While the Creation Brush continued to gather Dao Rhyme in the void, his Azure Veil Blade slashed down once more.

"You come to Grandpa Di’s tavern to cause trouble, kick down my sign, and then ask who I am? Take a blade strike from Grandpa Di first!" No matter how strong the opponent was, Joe Di relished fighting such powerful foes—only in battle could his heart be truly satisfied and his skills improve.

How could such a thrilling fight be interrupted?

Elijah Wells, who had been blasted aside by Joe Di and the tall man, sucked in a cold breath. Only one thought echoed in his mind: so strong, unbelievably strong.

As expected, anyone who could open a tavern in the Mountainview Forbidden Zone was no ordinary person—he hadn’t misjudged. This self-proclaimed Grandpa Di was simply beyond formidable. Elijah Wells knew better than anyone how terrifying the tall cultivator chasing him was; he couldn’t even withstand a single move. His survival was due to his wits, not his strength.

How laughable that not long ago, he’d thought Joe Di was just a paper tiger and hid inside, afraid to come out. Now, looking back, that notion seemed utterly ridiculous.

"Stop! There’s no point in continuing this fight. You can’t defeat me, and I can’t defeat you!" the tall cultivator shouted urgently. He knew Joe Di was unfazed by his Primordial Voidshatter Finger—if the fight continued, he truly couldn’t do anything to Joe Di.

Joe Di acted as if he hadn’t heard, his Azure Veil Blade transforming into a boundless killing intent, locking onto the tall cultivator and slashing down with enough force to split the void in two.

(That’s all for today’s update. Good night, friends!)
