"Who?"
At the sound of the voice, Neil Kong and his group whipped around.
Behind them, at the entrance to the second-floor hall, more than a dozen men in suits strode in.
Leading the group was a man with a calm, slightly indifferent expression. He looked scholarly, with a hint of youthful spirit between his brows.
He wore a simple gray tang suit. He wasn't tall or imposing, and his face showed the fatigue of long hours at work—but his eyes still flashed with sharp brilliance.
As he entered the hall and saw security guards sprawled all over the floor, the man's brows furrowed slightly. His bodyguards immediately and decisively began clearing the guards away.
These bodyguards were clearly much more capable than the previous batch.
Henry Zhang, who'd been kicked to the ground by Zack Guang earlier, saw the newcomers and his expression changed. He tried to get up, but couldn't.
The man gave Henry Zhang a calm look and nodded, saying nothing. Even that simple gesture let Henry breathe a sigh of relief, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
"And you are?"
Neil Kong stared blankly at the man entering, not reacting at first. But before he could say anything, Derek Zhang, who already looked stunned, suddenly stood up from his seat.
His face twisted with bitterness as he rushed forward, mouth open in a pleading gesture. But before he could beg, the man shook his head slightly and someone stepped up, dragging Derek Zhang aside.
"Chairman Summer! Chairman Summer! I was wrong, I really was wrong! Please give me another chance! I swear I know my mistake!"
Derek Zhang shouted loudly, but several men had already dragged him out of the hall.
"Sawyer Summer!"
Finally, someone at the table couldn't help but exclaim.
The name Sawyer Summer had already spread throughout Brightsea in recent months. His multi-billion showdown with River City's richest man, Aiden Li, at the auction had become legendary.
But not many people knew what Sawyer Summer actually looked like, mainly because he'd been so sick from the Soul-Sacrifice Beauty Scroll that he hadn't appeared in public for ages.
Later, with Evan Lin's help, he recovered some of his vitality and looked much better. Still, he'd been busy handling all the assets and mergers left behind by the Li family, so he hadn't given any media interviews in ages.
Most people only knew of Sawyer Summer's legendary exploits—like his ruthless takeover of the Summer Group's assets. Those who'd met him in person always described him as having a scholarly air.
At that moment, as Sawyer Summer walked up to the table, everyone was utterly stunned!
"Who did you say was finished?"
Sawyer Summer stood in front of Neil Kong, his gaze calm and composed.
"I..." Neil Kong hadn't expected Sawyer Summer to show up here. The authority of River City's richest man was not something a foreign-trade company manager like him could possibly shake.
Beside him, Sharon Chen saw things turning bad and immediately stood up, rushing to introduce herself: "Chairman Summer, hello, I'm Sharon Chen from the Oceanport Chen family."
Sharon Chen tried to keep her voice steady, but she could already hear the suppressed anger in Sawyer Summer's simple words.
This left Sharon Chen uneasy; as she looked at Sawyer Summer, her words were hesitant.
Beside her, Chen Ren didn't even dare to breathe.
"Oceanport Chen family, hmm, I've heard of them." Sawyer Summer nodded slightly.
Sharon Chen was about to breathe a sigh of relief, thinking Sawyer Summer would give her family some face, when he spoke again, his tone chilly: "So, your Oceanport Chen family comes to my White Dragon Mountain Resort Hotel and insults my honored guest—are you trying to finish the Summer family?"
As soon as Sawyer Summer finished speaking, everyone at the table fell silent, looking at Sharon Chen and Neil Kong with nothing but sympathy and pity in their eyes.
No matter how you heard it, Sawyer Summer was clearly siding with Evan Lin.
He was obviously pushing Neil Kong and Sharon Chen out into the cold!
"No, Chairman Summer, you misunderstood!" Neil Kong's face changed. He wasn't arrogant enough to think he could compete with Sawyer Summer.
Sawyer Summer may be based in Brightsea, but he controls vast wealth and resources. If he really took a dislike to Neil, he could bring his capital into Jinnan and crush Neil's company overnight.
"Misunderstood? I get the feeling you meant it."
Sawyer Summer snorted coldly, not sparing a glance at Neil Kong and Sharon Chen's suddenly pale faces. He walked straight over to Evan Lin, smiling: "Sorry, I should've been here waiting for you yesterday, but things at the company got busy and held me up."
Summer Mu was supposed to come too, but he's swamped at work and is still at the company working overtime.
Sawyer Summer smiled.
Beside him, Lynn Chen and Yolanda Fang stared wide-eyed at Evan Lin, unable to believe it.
Joy Zheng and Lucy Lu also looked bewildered.
If you need anything, just ask. The same goes for all of you.
Sawyer Summer glanced at the others, not even looking at Zack Guang and Hugh Hu lying on the table.
You're being too polite.
Joy Zheng quickly stood up, looking at Sawyer Summer with a complicated and nervous expression.
It's not politeness—it's my own lack of thoroughness. If it weren't for this young friend, I might already be dead. Thanks to him, I came back from the brink. My life was saved by him.
Sawyer Summer smiled gently, his expression calm and apologetic: "I'm just sorry I didn't think things through. Otherwise, this meal shouldn't have been disturbed."
Henry Zhang, you need to accept punishment.
Sawyer Summer spoke calmly.
Henry Zhang, head bleeding, immediately responded loudly: "Yes, Chairman Summer!"
Mm.
Sawyer Summer nodded, then looked at Evan Lin: "If it's convenient, shall we eat somewhere else?"
Mm.
Evan Lin nodded calmly.
At this moment, no one dared look down on Evan Lin anymore.
This kind of youth was already someone they could only look up to.
Even River City's richest man, Sawyer Summer, treated this youth with genuine respect.
Earlier, they'd thought Sawyer Summer simply owed Evan Lin a small favor, but now it was clear the debt was far greater than they'd imagined.
Just then, the tall girl who'd come with Hugh Hu tapped quickly on her phone, and soon a message flashed on her screen.
Arriving immediately!
Seeing the message, a cold gleam flashed in the girl's eyes.
