The War Fully Erupts

1/5/2026

"Understood!" Marshal Zhong Kui had been itching for a fight with the Kunlun League forever—he’d dreamt of clashing head-to-head with their forces. The other ghost generals and soldiers roared in excitement, tens of thousands of ghost troops instantly shifting behind Ling Feng. The sheer spectacle got everyone’s blood pumping.

On one side stood the elite troops of the human world; on the other, the elite legions of the Netherworld.

At this moment, Ling Feng truly embodied the realm of commanding ten thousand troops, straddling both yin and yang worlds!

"Attack!" Ling Feng didn’t hesitate for a second—he shot toward the United States like a human missile.

Behind him, thousands upon thousands of ghost generals and soldiers followed. In an instant, a full-scale crusade against the United States kicked off!

Ghost Elder and Granny Soul were both fired up, too—these two thousand-year-old ghosts suited up in battle robes. This was a war of rebellion, and also the prelude to declaring war on the Western Pacifying King.

"Ling Feng, up ahead is U.S. territory. The United States really is huge—number one in economics, military, and tech. Challenging a world number one gets me hyped just thinking about it. If we win this battle, the whole world could be ours!" Ghost Elder grinned, his heart surging like a tidal wave.

"Sooner or later, the whole world will be ours—and the Kunlun League will be wiped off the map for good!" Ling Feng clenched his fists, thunder crackling around him.

And just as Ling Feng crossed the U.S. border, Daniel Deng’s forces launched a surprise attack on every American military facility along the perimeter.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The entire coastline—thousands of kilometers long—erupted in gunfire. For the first time ever, the United States tasted the agony of real war!

...

At U.S. headquarters, several terrified generals rushed to the presidential residence—most of them clearly just woken from sleep, some still in pajamas or bathrobes. But every face showed the same horror, as if their world had collapsed.

President John Harris was still groggy, yanked out of bed by Secret Service agents.

"What’s going on? What happened? Who dares disturb my sleep?" John Harris had been at his wits’ end lately, with the Kunlun League’s chaos driving the country into turmoil. He hadn’t slept well for days—tonight was the first decent rest he’d had in ages, and now he was on the verge of a breakdown.

"Mr. President, it’s a disaster! The enemy’s broken through! We’ve already lost at least ten military bases in the last few minutes!"

"Are you telling me we lost five aircraft carriers, over thirty warships, and more than a hundred fighter jets? At least ten thousand soldiers were blown to bits in their sleep!"

"And what’s worse, the enemy didn’t just launch a military assault—they hit us with martial arts attacks, too! At least half the cities nationwide are crawling with terrorists, and we’ve got hundreds of top officials assassinated. The whole country’s in chaos!"

...

Hearing this string of disasters, President John Harris nearly collapsed, falling straight back onto his bed.

"Mr. President, do something! The United States has never faced an attack like this—we can’t just collapse!" Several military advisors shouted, panic rising.

"Mobilize our most elite forces—America cannot lose! And notify the Kunlun League, tell them to send reinforcements, now!" John Harris yelled. Clearly, Huaxia’s blitzkrieg was wildly effective.

But the U.S. counterattack would come fast. As the world’s number one superpower, its stockpiled resources were beyond imagination.

Especially when it comes to nukes!

Within moments, the whole country sprang into action—a counteroffensive had begun!

...

Meanwhile, as U.S. leaders scrambled to defend, the Kunlun League’s headquarters on Capitol Hill got wind of the situation and called an emergency meeting.

"Has Huaxia’s army lost its mind? Launching a surprise night raid—now half the country’s in total chaos!"

"Enough! We’ll send troops to help push them back. Hell, let’s deploy Nascent Soul experts—and if that’s not enough, send Heaven-Tribulation masters! Take out Daniel Deng, and let’s see how Huaxia keeps attacking!"

"Exactly—kill Daniel Deng, kill all Huaxia’s top brass! Damn it, we gave them face and let them live a few extra days, and now they’re biting back. Wipe out these bastards, and while we’re at it, take out Ling Feng too!"

...

Right now, facing Huaxia’s insane blitz, the Kunlun League was seriously pissed. Attacking the U.S. wasn’t just a challenge to America—it was an unprecedented slap in the face to KL itself. If they didn’t hit back, it’d be a total humiliation!

"Fine! Send our forces straight to the Pacific—their base is right there. Leave no one alive, wipe them all out!" Warren Damon made the call; as the Western Pacifying King’s son, he was now KL’s top boss.

The moment he gave the order, several Heaven-Tribulation experts volunteered to strike.

Back when Huaxia’s twenty-plus peak Nascent Soul Protectors all died, KL had plenty of Heaven-Tribulation masters ready to go. But the Western Pacifying King didn’t want to escalate then, so they held back. Now, with war at their doorstep, KL couldn’t afford to lose face any longer.

"Alright, send Elder Leopard—he’s the fastest!" Warren nodded, and a first-layer Heaven-Tribulation master leapt into action.

"Young Prince, let me come too—my hands have been itching for a fight!" Elder Wolf volunteered from the side.

"Good, you go too. Two Heaven-Tribulation masters plus a dozen Nascent Soul experts should be enough to wipe them out!" Warren nodded, and in an instant, a dozen attackers rushed out.

...

Just as those guys made their move, Ling Feng sensed it. With a glance, Marshal Zhong Kui was already intercepting them. Ling Feng had already sized up every KL operative on Capitol Hill—the strongest was only sixth-layer Heaven-Tribulation. He was confident he could take them on.
