Unveiling the Plan

At this moment, far away in the capital of Jinburg, Leonard Li was busy dealing with his father, Lord Huainan, so much so that he was running himself ragged. Meanwhile, in the capital of Chuland, Gregory Gu Jr. was preoccupied with manipulating power and playing political games.

Both of these men are outstanding in their own right and pride themselves on their talents, but neither of them could have imagined that, in the distant city of Charleston in the Kingdom of Qin, a grand and secret plan was being conceived by a woman whose achievements were unprecedented.

And this enormous plan would completely alter the course of history for Jin, Chu, and Qin.

Under the direction of Princess Jade Hayes, White Pete led the elite Shadow Guards trained by Mrs. Penny in a covert infiltration of the capital city of Jin.

At this time, the people of Jin were only hearing fake intelligence delivered by the spies’ decoys, completely unaware that the Kingdom of Qin had already launched a counterattack.

Thus, relying on White Pete’s masterful disguise skills, he and the elite Shadow Guards slipped into the capital city unnoticed, ready to execute the plan Princess Jade Hayes had entrusted to them.

Night always fell later in the capital than elsewhere. As the city lights flickered on, a high-ranking, drunken official staggered out of a tavern. He went to the latrine, only to have his mouth covered and inhale knockout powder, losing consciousness instantly.

When the official awoke, he found himself in a dark, unfamiliar chamber lit by flickering candles, surrounded by torture devices stained with blood.

White Pete sat at the table, studying the official’s face as he rapidly crafted a disguise mask.

The official realized he had been kidnapped. Terrified, he pleaded, "Gentlemen, please don’t hurt me! I’ll give you whatever money you want!"

White Pete lifted his eyelids impatiently and said, "Who cares about your lousy money? What I want is your face! Come on, brothers, interrogate him."

Immediately, someone came over with torture tools. The official was scared half to death. These pampered court officials rarely ever faced torture—ask them anything, and they'd spill everything.

White Pete’s men asked about the official’s daily habits and routines. Knowing these details would help their own people wear disguise masks and impersonate him.

The official sobbed and confessed everything, then pleaded, "Heroes, heroes, I’ve told you everything you wanted to know! Please let me go!"

White Pete sneered, "You fool, do you really think we’d let you go after all this?"

The official shrank his head and said, "I—I was just drinking with Lord Yang! If you don’t let me go, Lord Yang will notice I’m missing tomorrow and report it to the authorities!"

White Pete burst out laughing and looked at the official. "Let me tell you, Lord Yang already sent someone to inform your family that you got drunk tonight and are staying at his place, so they shouldn’t wait for you."

The official couldn’t believe it, shaking his head like a rattle-drum. "No, I don’t believe it! Lord Yang has been my colleague and classmate for years. He’d never side with criminals like you!"

White Pete laughed even harder, his eyes full of pride and disdain. "Let me tell you, your friend Lord Yang was caught by us before you. The one drinking with you just now wasn’t him—it was one of our men wearing a disguise mask! Tsk tsk, now that you know so much, do you think we’ll let you go? Men, the interrogation is over, take him away! Quick, who’s next? Bring them in! My hands are about to break from making all these masks. Can’t you people be a bit more cooperative and show some expression?"
