But Do You Miss Me Too

1/4/2026

The Celestial Emperor shook his head. Forget it—for now, helping Little Five snatch his bride comes first.

That's extremely important.

No one knows Little Five better than him. If Lucia Lu really marries Soren Lann, he worries his son will be heartbroken beyond repair.

......

Lucia has been staying at the Spirit Alliance this whole time.

She wants to help Adrian Drake find an antidote, so lately she's been poring over medical texts.

She was flipping through a book when Sean Shaw called her.

As soon as the call connected, he flirted, "Miss me?"

"You sound like you're in a good mood!" Lucia laughed.

"I am! There's a celebration at the Celestial Palace tonight," Sean said.

"Don't you usually hate those kinds of events?"

"Tonight's different."

"How is it different?"

"Tonight... when I got back to my room, I found a fairy in my bed."

Lucia froze, her smile vanishing. "So then?"

"I tied her up and sent her straight to the Celestial Empress."

Lucia asked suspiciously, "You're really this happy just because of that? There's got to be something else, right?"

"To make it up to me, my father promised to build me a divine residence," Sean said.

"A divine residence?" Lucia raised her brows. "Are you moving out of the Celestial Palace?"

"Father said, after I get married, I'll live in the new residence."

"Mm... That works. It'll help you avoid a lot of trouble," Lucia nodded.

"Where do you like?"

"What?"

"For the divine residence—where should it be built? Where do you like?"

Lucia's lips curled up. "It's your divine residence, why ask me?"

Sean: "...Wherever you like, that's where I'll build it."

"I like Peach Blossom Haven."

Sean let out a soft laugh. "I'll pick somewhere in Drake Abyss."

"Hmm... There's a mountain near Flatplain Waterfall, full of Fairy Fruit and spiritual energy," Lucia said. "You could consider that spot."

"Alright." After a pause, he asked again, "Do you miss me?"

Why is he so mushy today?

Lucia pressed her lips, secretly amused. "Why? If I say yes, will you come keep me company?"

"I can't."

"Then stop asking! Go to sleep!" She laughed and hung up, still finding it funny.

But something still felt off.

Wait—did Sean really not hear about what happened at the Radiant Palace?

Why didn't he even ask about it?

Forget it. If he doesn't ask, she won't bring it up.

She's not stupid—why stir up jealousy on purpose?

......

The next day was... not a lucky one.

Because as soon as Lucia came down the mountain, she ran into Jenna Summers.

Jenna's hand was still wrapped in bandages—apparently, it hadn't healed yet.

Lucia kept a straight face and walked off in another direction.

"Lucia Lu!" Jenna called out.

Lucia glanced at her. "What is it?"

"You see a Consort and don't salute?"

Lucia took a deep breath and gave her a formal salute. "Greetings, Consort."

Jenna finally seemed to feel her long-awaited sense of superiority. She smiled smugly. "Lucia Lu, I heard Divine Lord Soren proposed to you in public?"

Lucia replied, "Yep!"

"Just the other day I said you'd never get married, and then the Qilin Divine Lord does something so dramatic—aren't you proud of yourself?"

"Did you? I don't remember," Lucia said coolly. "Must've slipped my mind."

"Quit pretending!" Jenna sneered. "He proposed in public, so what? I bet you'll never become Qilin Empress!"

Lucia shot back, "You should worry more about Second Prince Victor Xiao! May you two have lots of sons!" Then she turned and walked away.
