Evan Yang Returns

2/27/2026

With Tian Buqun's confirmation, Xu Zhi knew that Liam Yang wouldn't be leaving—the boy was definitely his own.

As expected, Tian Buqun invited all the relatives and friends, and broadcast the big marriage two days later. The Tian Clan quickly became lively, lanterns everywhere. Inside the house, Mira Ming sighed in her heart, "Dad, is this really my fate?"

Liam Yang, on the other hand, fumed inwardly, "How can I be so useless?"

Time passed bit by bit. On the day of the wedding, sounds echoed everywhere. Liam Yang could only listen from inside the iron sphere, unable to get out. "Dad, where are you?"

"Of course I'm right beside you." At that moment, a voice sounded in his mind.

It was Evan Yang's voice. Liam Yang instantly grew excited, "Dad, is that you? Where are you?"

"Me? I'm outside. I can sense you now. Don't worry, I'll be right there." The voice sounded again.

Evan Yang stood atop a roof of the Tian Clan estate. After his latest coma, he looked especially weathered and unfathomable.

This was Evan Yang, just out from the Spatial Patriarch's place. He wore a strange smile; he hadn't stretched his legs in ages, and his own son had never seen him in person—but they could communicate mind-to-mind.

He remembered that before coming out, Gavin White and the others were anxious to see Liam Yang, but Evan blocked them. Evan's reappearance brought Gavin and the others great joy.

Thinking of how Gavin White had insisted he must find Liam Yang before leaving, Evan Yang smiled, "I wonder what my son really looks like? Is he as cool as me?"

"Dad, can you stop spacing out? Hurry up and rescue me!" Seeing Evan Yang deep in thought, Liam Yang quickly urged him.

"Relax, your dad's here." With that, Evan Yang moved like a ghost, slipping past the Tian Clan's experts and arriving outside the iron sphere. Looking at it, Evan Yang smiled, "You've had enough suffering, haven't you?"

Having never seen Evan Yang, Liam Yang hurriedly replied to his father's voice, "Dad, please don't tease me. I'm running out of time—let me out quickly!"

"What, rushing to rescue your lover?" Evan Yang chuckled.

"Dad..." Liam Yang grumbled.

Evan Yang smiled, then took out the Soul-Devouring Divine Sword and slashed down. The iron sphere screeched, then shattered into pieces. Liam Yang stood up and looked at Evan Yang—it was his first time seeing his father up close, and he nearly burst into tears, "Dad."

"Are you alright?" Evan Yang was just as happy—after all, this was his own flesh and blood. To say he didn't care would be a lie, especially since he'd rushed here sensing Liam Yang was in danger.

"I'm fine, Dad. Hurry and help me save her!" Liam Yang said excitedly.

"Hold on, let me absorb the demonic qi from your body first." Evan Yang said. He'd come in through the Demon Pool himself and knew the demonic qi had to be cleared. So he placed his hand on Liam Yang, and the Demon-Ward Eight Arts activated automatically, drawing the black demonic qi out from Liam's body. Soon, Liam slowly returned to his normal color.

"Hey, you really came back!" Liam Yang said excitedly.

"Alright, calm down. Go see your lover." Evan Yang chuckled.

No one expected anyone would sneak in here—after all, today was Tian Buqun's big day, and everyone had gone over to join the celebration.

Evan Yang and Liam Yang blended into the crowd—no one recognized them. Liam's skin tone had changed, making him look like someone else, so it was easy to slip in.

When they reached the main hall of the Tian Clan, they saw it bustling inside. Mira Ming was veiled with a red cloth, while Tian Buqun, dressed as the groom, grinned and greeted the guests.

"What, you're not going in?" Evan Yang glanced at Liam Yang with a smile.

"But there are so many experts around?" Seeing the Tian Clan people everywhere, Liam Yang frowned.

"Relax, with your dad here, no one can touch you." Evan Yang grinned. Hearing this, Liam Yang mustered his courage, flashed forward, and charged right up to Tian Buqun. The crowd raised their eyebrows—who was this handsome young man and what was he doing?

Liam Yang said, "Let her go, Tian Buqun!"

"Who are you?" Tian Buqun asked suspiciously. Mira Ming felt the voice was familiar, so she lifted the veil and curiously studied Liam Yang's unfamiliar face.

Liam Yang looked at Mira Ming and said, "It's me! Liam Yang!"

Mira Ming studied Liam Yang—his demonic qi was gone, and he looked so handsome she didn't know what to say. Tian Buqun, hearing this, laughed, "So it's you, brat! You do look pretty sharp. But how did you get out?"

"Of course I walked out. Today, she's leaving with me, Tian Buqun—she doesn't belong to you." Liam Yang declared.

"You? Kid, do you believe I could kill you right now?" Tian Buqun raged. The crowd began to move, but Liam Yang flashed to Mira Ming's side and said, "Let's go!"

With that, he flashed forward—but found the surrounding space sealed, so he could only stop at the Tian Clan's entrance.

"I expected something like this might happen, so I sealed the space around us. Want to leave?" Tian Buqun glared angrily as Liam Yang took Mira Ming's hand.

Mira Ming let go of Liam Yang's hand and said, "You should go. Don't worry about me."

"No way. No matter what happens today, I'm taking you with me, no matter who tries to stop us." Liam Yang said. Mira Ming shook her head helplessly, "It's useless."

Tian Buqun laughed, "Want to take her away? Today, you won't even know how you died."

"Relax, they can't do anything to us," Liam Yang said. Mira Ming raised her eyebrows, "Why?"
