Quinn Shepherd paused, slightly stunned: "So many girls bathing? What kind of fun could there be in these wild mountains... Wait, I've run into girls bathing in the wilderness before!"
Suddenly recalling something, he shivered and muttered, "Could it be that old monster? No way, it can't have survived this long in the Great Ruins—I'm just being paranoid! But to be safe, let's detour around."
Suddenly, a voice called out from behind, loud and clear: "Fellow traveler, isn't it true that in life we meet everywhere?"
Quinn turned to look and saw Brandon Yu leading a host of True Heaven Palace adepts charging over, moving at incredible speed.
The True Heaven Palace adepts sprinted while casting spells, and one by one, giant trees ripped from the earth, transforming into tree giants that thundered after them.
At the same time, the ground rumbled and shook, rocks flew through the air, rolling forward at high speed, gathering together and forming stone giants.
Even the hills beneath Quinn and his group began to tremble, dirt cascading down as stones inside the hill piled higher and higher—a hulking hill giant was slowly rising to its feet.
"Looks like there's no choice but to break through! Let's hope it's not that old monster!"
Quinn gave the order, and the Dragon-Qilin immediately charged forward. The hill beneath them had already stood up, and with fire clouds churning beneath its feet, the Dragon-Qilin raced along the giant's arm.
The massive hill giant turned, swinging its other arm at them. The Dragon-Qilin leapt, and behind them came a deafening crash—the giant's two arms smashed together, instantly snapping, sending countless stones flying in all directions!
Quinn glanced back and saw that as soon as the stones hit the ground, they rolled right back, as if sprouting legs, constantly reattaching to the hill giant's body. In no time, two new arms had grown.
"Palace Master, your True Heaven Palace's arts really are extraordinary!" Quinn said with genuine admiration.
Raina Bear gathered her remaining strength, pressed her palm behind her and lifted, and instantly a piercing wail came from within the hill giant. Strands of blue light shot out from the giant's body, dispersing into smoke.
The hill giant immediately collapsed, its massive stones tumbling down, becoming just another ordinary hill.
"That's some impressive magic!"
Quinn's eyes lit up. "Would you teach me?"
Raina hesitated a moment, then nodded: "You saved my daughter and me. If you want to learn, I'll teach you everything I know."
Quinn grinned, "I won't take advantage—True Heaven Palace is a holy land of the West, so I'll trade you with town-protecting level arts from my own holy lands. But let's get out of here first!"
The Dragon-Qilin sped ahead, with the two White Bat Demons circling overhead, occasionally unleashing soundwaves to knock True Heaven Palace experts out of the sky behind them. "Dragon-Fat, hurry up, hurry!"
"Quit shouting!"
