Here, with the Immortal Realm Alliance leading, assisted by the Four Great Families and supported by other major clans and sects, the vast forces of the Immortal Realm have formed a powerful defensive ring across this line of over a hundred planets.
"Alliance Leader, the Immortal–Devil Gate opened ahead of schedule this time, and with several Immortal Sovereigns leaving, the breach is already quite wide. Luckily, you arranged things in advance and activated the Heaven-Veiling Nine-Mystic Grand Array to block it for now, but no one knows how long it will hold—especially with those major Devil Lords on the other side." Ming Yang, who is closest to the Alliance Leader, spoke anxiously.
Inside the Alliance Leader’s residence, there were only three people: the Alliance Leader, the Water Family patriarch, and the Yang Family patriarch. These two families were the Alliance Leader’s strongest supporters, while the other two families had only joined the battle reluctantly to avoid being devoured by the Devil Realm in the future.
"Patriarch Yang, Patriarch Water, we’re relying heavily on your two families this time. If you hadn’t led the others here in time, the Immortal Realm would truly have been breached. If that happens, the consequences are unimaginable." The Alliance Leader said with relief.
"It’s what we should do," Ming Yang said to the Water Family patriarch.
"I’ve already sent people to persuade other Immortal Sovereigns, including those who usually ignore worldly affairs. Hopefully, for the sake of the Immortal Realm’s survival, they’ll step forward." The Alliance Leader sighed.
"Let’s hope so. Without their support, we might really struggle to withstand the Devil Realm’s frenzied assault." Ming Yang sighed.
"Yes, and you must keep sending people to patrol the Immortal Realm, watching for any anomalies. If anything unusual happens, report immediately. I’m worried the Devil Realm might take advantage and leave dangerous fire seeds in our realm. If the rear catches fire, things will get even more complicated." The Alliance Leader instructed.
"Understood." Both Ming Yang and the Water Family knew how serious this was—much more tense than any previous Immortal–Devil war, especially since so many people had already been lost.
After the Yang Family and Water Family patriarchs left, the Alliance Leader paced alone, pondering the crisis.
"I’m not sure what attitude the Fenn Family and Lynn Family will take," the Alliance Leader frowned. He just hoped these two wouldn’t cause trouble over the last incident.
The Alliance Leader’s concerns were not unfounded—his worries did have an impact.
At that moment, Patriarch Fenn was in his own residence, pondering what to do. After all, this concerned both the Immortal Realm’s future and his own family’s fate. "That Alliance Leader is so biased—should I help him or not?" Patriarch Fenn muttered, then fell silent and decided to wait and see.
Meanwhile, the Immortal Realm was in turmoil from the Devil Realm’s invasion—every Immortal–Devil war meant the fall of countless experts.
At this moment, Lynn Immortal Sovereign was discussing the situation with Sovereign Ruthless and two others.
"I just received word—the Alliance Leader has sent out a call for help to other Immortal Sovereigns. What do you think we should do?" Lynn Immortal Sovereign asked curiously.
"The Immortal Realm? Its destruction means nothing to me. I only care about the whereabouts of the Heaven-Cold Seed!" Sovereign Ruthless replied.
"That Evan Yang is still alive. Last time, he drove off several Immortal Sovereigns, and now the Alliance barely has anyone left. If we step out now and demand the Alliance Leader hand over Evan Yang, do you think we’ll succeed?" Lynn Immortal Sovereign pondered aloud.
"I don’t know. I can’t figure out the Alliance Leader’s mind—he always does things I don’t understand. I won’t risk myself; if we want to capture Evan Yang, we’ll have to rely on ourselves," Sovereign Ruthless said.
"But Evan Yang has vanished—no one knows how to find him. He hasn’t even appeared in this Immortal–Devil war." Lynn Immortal Sovereign muttered.
"He’ll appear sooner or later—especially now, with the Immortal–Devil war raging. He won’t just stand by and watch the Immortal Realm fall, will he? When he shows up, that’s when we act. With the Alliance Leader and others busy fighting, they won’t have time to interfere, and Evan Yang will become our prey." Sovereign Ruthless said.
"I’ve already ordered the Lynn Family to closely monitor the Yang Family and the Immortal Realm Alliance. If anything happens with Evan Yang, we’ll report immediately," Lynn Immortal Sovereign said.
"Good. Evan Yang, just wait. Last time I couldn’t kill you—this time, if I don’t kill you, I’ll make you reveal Sovereign Frost’s whereabouts yourself," Sovereign Ruthless snorted coldly.
"Once Evan Yang appears, we’ll immediately capture people from the Yang Family. I refuse to believe he won’t talk." Last time they couldn’t enter the Yang estate, but now the Yang Family members were outside—capturing them would be easy. When Evan Yang showed up, they could seize a few close to him and force him to comply.
As for Evan Yang, he was heading toward the Immortal Realm Alliance, only to find many had already left. Nearly all the top experts were gone, but he still saw a few guards at the gate. After asking around, he learned where the Alliance members had gone.
Learning where the Alliance members had gone, Evan Yang didn’t pause for a moment—he headed straight for the cluster of over a hundred planets where the Alliance and other families had gathered.
When Evan Yang reappeared, he was already at the outer edge of the planetary cluster. He gazed at the dense array of planets, each shrouded in light. Behind the glow, all sorts of attacks raged—attacks fueled by demonic qi.
"What kind of formation is this?" Evan Yang wondered to himself.
At least it meant the area ahead was safe. Evan Yang relaxed, descended, and landed on one of the planets.
No sooner had he entered the planet than he was surrounded. The ones encircling him belonged to the Stone Family. Several leaders eyed Evan Yang and his companions, demanding, "Who are you? Why have you come to this planet?"
"I'm looking for the Immortal Realm Alliance Leader. Do you know which planet he's on?" Evan Yang asked.
"Looking for the Immortal Realm Alliance Leader? What business do you have?" The man eyed him suspiciously, since not just anyone could seek out the Alliance Leader.
"It's something important," Evan Yang replied.
"Wait here, I'll go ask." The man said, then left others to watch Evan while he headed toward a nearby city and entered a building.
Inside was the planet's temporary conference room, where several people were discussing matters.
Suddenly, the same man from before rushed in.
"What's the matter? Why are you in such a hurry?" someone asked, frowning.
"Patriarch, someone arrived on this planet saying he wants to find the Immortal Realm Alliance Leader, but I don't know if he's a Devil Realm spy, so I didn't dare say much," the man reported.
The person addressed as Patriarch was the Stone Family Patriarch. He asked suspiciously, "Looking for the Alliance Leader? Who is it? Can you describe him? Maybe I know him?"
After speaking, the man played the recorded image for everyone. The Stone Family Patriarch found the face familiar, and after watching it again, he was shocked. He said, "Go, find a way to stall them. I'll be there immediately."
"Alright, I'll go right away," the man replied, still puzzled, and hurried back. The Stone Family Patriarch took out a messaging stone and contacted the Lynn Family. Since the Stone Family has ties with the Lynn Family, and knowing Evan Yang is their enemy, he didn't hesitate to notify them.
When the Lynn Family received the news, they were overjoyed and instructed the Stone Family to delay Evan Yang. Meanwhile, Lynn Immortal Sovereign and others suddenly received word that Evan Yang had appeared on a certain planet and was searching for the Alliance Leader.
"Got him! Got him!" Lynn Immortal Sovereign exclaimed joyfully.
"What's going on?" Sovereign Ruthless asked, curious.
"Evan Yang has appeared there, and he's looking for the Alliance Leader," Lynn Immortal Sovereign said.
"Oh? Really? That's excellent. The three of you go stall him. I'll head to the Yang Family's planet myself," Sovereign Ruthless said with delight.
After that, Lynn Immortal Sovereign and the other two immediately set out without delay.
At that moment, Evan Yang was being questioned repeatedly. Finally, the Stone Family Patriarch arrived, looked Evan up and down, and said, "Do you know what time it is?" "It's the time of the Immortal–Devil war," Evan Yang replied. "That's right. So you should know how difficult it is to find the Alliance Leader. Even if I knew where he was, I wouldn't tell you. That's the highest secret in the Immortal Realm," the Stone Family Patriarch said.
"So you mean you don't know?" Evan Yang asked.
"That's right, I don't know," the Stone Family Patriarch replied.
"You don't know, so why waste so much time?" Evan Yang said helplessly, then turned to leave.
Seeing Evan Yang about to leave, the Stone Family Patriarch immediately ordered the surrounding guards, "Surround him!"
"What do you mean by this?" Evan Yang frowned.
"We suspect you might be from the Devil Realm, so we've called for Immortal Realm Alliance personnel. If you want to prove your innocence, you can meet them. Then you'll know where the Alliance Leader is," the Stone Family Patriarch explained.
"Oh? So that's how it is? But I don't like your method. You could've just said Immortal Realm Alliance people are coming," Evan Yang said coldly.
"There's no choice. It's a critical time—I can't let anyone slip by," the Stone Family Patriarch said calmly.
"Is that so? Do you think you people can stop me?" Evan Yang laughed.
"If you dare resist, that proves you're from the Devil Realm. Then there will be nowhere for you to hide in the Immortal Realm," the Stone Family Patriarch said, alarmed.
"I didn't say I'd resist. I was just speaking casually, don't be so nervous," Evan Yang smiled.
Seeing Evan Yang wasn't acting out, the Stone Family Patriarch relaxed a little, praying the Lynn Family would arrive soon. He worried that if Evan noticed something and escaped, they'd never catch him.
"What, are you worried about something?" Evan Yang asked, seeing the Stone Family Patriarch deep in thought.
"Nothing, just curious about your identity. Are you really from the Devil Realm?" the Stone Family Patriarch replied, brushing it off.
"The Devil Realm has nothing to do with me. You'd better not make careless accusations," Evan Yang replied coldly.
The Stone Family Patriarch said, "That's best. Otherwise, we'd have no choice—even if it meant risking everything, we'd stop you." "Are families like yours stationed on every planet now?" Evan Yang asked. "That's right. The purpose is to prevent Devil Realm infiltrators from approaching and sabotaging the grand formation." Seeing Evan Yang was willing to chat, the Stone Family Patriarch continued. "What kind of grand formation is this? Can it really withstand so many Devil Realm attacks?" Evan Yang asked, curious.
