The Murderer Revealed

1/4/2026

The woman grabbed Cici's wrist. To others, it looked like they were holding hands out of closeness, but Cici knew the truth: the woman was afraid she might suddenly refuse to go along, so she kept a tight hold as they walked.

Cici sneered inwardly.

Pretending not to notice, Cici obediently followed the woman toward the restroom.

As Cici passed the restroom, a beautiful, youthful girl—dressed adorably—brushed past her on purpose, bumping into her. Suddenly, something was pressed into Cici's palm.

"I'm very sorry," the beautiful girl apologized in Japanese. Then, lowering her voice and speaking quickly, she said, "This is the antidote."

The Japanese are always so polite—they can say a whole string of apologies for the smallest thing.

The woman began to grow impatient, and only then did the beautiful girl give Cici a meaningful look. She casually scratched her head, revealing a tattoo on her wrist.

Cici recognized the tattoo instantly—it was the exclusive crest of the Mo Family.

Cici immediately understood who had sent her.

Trusting Max Mo completely, Cici swallowed the medicine without hesitation.

The woman, eager to drag Cici into the restroom, failed to notice anything unusual and kept urging her along.

Once inside, the woman quickly opened every stall door. Only after confirming no one else was present did she finally relax.

Cici feigned nervousness and stared at her. "What are you planning to do?"

"You'll find out soon enough!" The woman gave Cici a sinister grin, then swiftly pulled a handkerchief from her bag, grabbed Cici's wrist, and clamped the cloth over her mouth and nose.

Cici instantly smelled a pungent, overwhelming odor.

Knockout drug!

Cici's mind went blank and her vision blurred. But almost immediately, her sight cleared again—she realized the medicine she'd swallowed was working!

To keep up the act, Cici pretended to be affected, letting her body go limp and collapsing against the woman.

The next second, a man rushed in, took Cici from the woman's grasp, hoisted her over his shoulder, and hurried out.

With her eyes half-closed, Cici watched as the man carried her quickly out of the restroom, then headed straight down the elevator to the underground parking lot.

Cici discreetly pressed a tiny bump on her watch, sending her location to Max Mo.

Max Mo had the watch delivered after he left, and Cici put it on without hesitation.

Military-grade tech—worth trusting.

The man put Cici into a black sedan, wasted no time, and sped away.

The moment the car started, several other vehicles followed, not too fast, not too slow, one after another.

Cici slowly opened her eyes and saw the driver ahead—not once did he check to see if she was really unconscious.

Talk about confidence.

Cici adjusted her watch, and instantly Max Mo received the full video feed.

Max Mo was right.

Fleas can't kill you, but they sure can drive you crazy.

Emma Yin is just like a flea—always jumping around, popping up to annoy people. She really is a nuisance.

Better to settle things once and for all.

Isn't she trying to kill me?

Let's see who comes out on top!

Cici closed her eyes and kept pretending to be unconscious. She knew her kidnapper must have another trick up his sleeve.

Sure enough, the car hadn't gone far when a call came through.

The man, confident in his knockout drug and busy driving, put the call on speaker.

"Do you have her?" The call was from Emma Yin herself.

"I've got her. It went smoothly," the driver replied.

"I'll be there soon," Emma Yin said, then hung up.

Cici snapped her eyes open. Emma Yin was in Japan too?

How confident can she possibly be?

Max Mo could hear the call too—he didn't need any hint from Cici to know how to respond.

Max Mo did take some countermeasures, but... it looked like he needed to tweak his plan.

Little A contacted Max Mo's assistant directly and delivered a dose of Forbidden Serum.

On the call, Little A told Max Mo's assistant, "This is a small gift from our CEO to Mr. Mo. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth—that's always been the Mo Family's rule. I'm sure Mr. Mo will handle it perfectly."

Along with the Forbidden Serum came a suggestion: the Yun Family Research Institute's memory template is a real treasure!

Max Mo instantly understood what Charles Yin meant. Holding the medicine Charles sent, he couldn't help saying, "Charles Yin really doesn't let anything go! But that suggestion isn't bad!"

"Mr. Mo, Emma Yin crossed customs this morning and is heading toward an abandoned temple. Our people are already in place there," Max Mo's assistant reported, proving just how capable he was.

Anyone who makes it this far clearly isn't someone to mess with.

Max Mo's blue eyes flashed. He nodded, "Let's go. Be careful—make sure Cici stays safe from anyone following us."

His team immediately split up and sprang into action.

Max Mo quickly got in touch with the Grant Family and made his request.

The Grant Family was stunned at first, but when Max Mo explained it was time to settle the debt from three years ago, Mr. Grant agreed without hesitation!

Did the Grant Family hate the culprit from three years ago?

Of course they did! If not for her, Cici wouldn't have nearly died three years ago.

Her actions indirectly led to Cici's departure.

But if leaving meant risking their daughter's life, the Grant Family would rather not have it!

So when Max Mo asked to punish the culprit, Mr. Grant agreed without a second thought!

How could he ever let the person who hurt his daughter go?
