"How much longer do you expect me to wait?" Kenhaven Sovereign's tone grew impatient. He was certain that Leon Starfield's so-called formidable father would never show up.
He was well aware of the Heartblood Dao Sacrifice. Once this technique was used, any direct kin would instantly receive the message. Anyone capable of receiving such a message had to be strong enough to tear through cosmic barriers.
Those who could tear through cosmic barriers were naturally at the pinnacle of Dao cultivation. Even in the most remote parts of the Five Elements Universe, it would take less than an hour to get here. But three days had already passed, and Leon Starfield's father still hadn't arrived. Clearly, he wasn't coming.
Unless Leon Starfield's father was in a universe far beyond count, but that was even more impossible. Even Zixiao had never left the Five Elements Universe—how could an ordinary mortal hope to do so? And from beyond countless universes, could he really get here? Anyone able to tear through the universe's boundaries was nearly half a step into the Fourth Step.
To Kenhaven Sovereign, anyone who wasn't born with the vast chaos and the universe itself was just a mortal. Even if they cultivated, they were still of mortal flesh.
Whether or not Leon Starfield's father sensed the Heartblood Dao Sacrifice, the fact that he couldn't even come to this place was a disappointment.
Leon Starfield frowned, worry etched deep in his heart.
"Nianxing, why don't you teach me how to use the Heartblood Dao Sacrifice? I'll send a message to my father myself," Dylan Lethe said, sensing Leon Starfield's concern.
"Hahaha..." Kenhaven Sovereign laughed, though his face was dark with displeasure. "So your father is some peerless powerhouse too, able to deal with me easily?"
Suddenly, he felt speechless. How could he have believed the words of a mere mortal cultivator and wasted three days waiting here? He decided he would wait no longer.
"Nianxing...!" A clear, surprised voice rang out. Dylan Lethe and Leon Starfield both turned their heads instinctively, startled.
Kenhaven Sovereign was shocked, instinctively halting his actions. Someone had arrived on his territory and stood right beside him—yet he hadn't noticed?
"Father? Aunt Serena?" Leon Starfield exclaimed excitedly as he saw a young man in blue step through the void.
Leon Starfield had met Serena Green before at the Saint Dao Sect, so he recognized her immediately.
"You've done well. I'm proud of you." Emperor Ye landed beside Leon Starfield and patted him on the shoulder. To Emperor Ye, the loss of Leon's cultivation was nothing—he could restore it at any time.
Leon Starfield was overwhelmed with excitement. Ever since he was young, he knew Emperor Ye had gone to the Gate of Destiny. He trained relentlessly, hoping to one day follow in his father's footsteps and enter the Gate. After all these years, he hadn't entered the Gate of Destiny—instead, he was reunited with his father in the Five Elements Universe.
"Father, this is my friend Dylan Lethe..." Leon Starfield immediately introduced Dylan. They had cultivated and searched for resources together, forging a deep friendship.
"Dylan Lethe?" Emperor Ye's gaze fell on Dylan, and he asked, "What is your relationship with Joe Di?"
Joe Di's Dao was now very different from before. Emperor Ye hadn't recognized Dylan Lethe by his Dao, but by his appearance.
Dylan Lethe bowed respectfully, "Joe Di is my father. Dylan Lethe greets Senior Ye."
Emperor Ye laughed heartily. "The world is truly small. Not long ago, I joined forces with your father to deal with an enemy, and now I've met his descendant so soon."
"How is my father?" Dylan Lethe asked urgently. Since childhood, he had no memory of his father, but in his mother's eyes, his father was always the greatest powerhouse.
Emperor Ye smiled gently. "When I met your father, my strength was not yet equal to his. Once I teach this fellow a lesson, I'll take you to see your father."
Emperor Ye spoke truthfully. When he met Joe Di, Joe's Dao was nearly perfected, while Emperor Ye had not yet found Serena Green, and his Dao seed had only just sprouted.
Now his Dao was complete, and he was certainly no weaker than Joe Di—but there was no need to say this to the younger generation.
"Thank you, Senior." Dylan Lethe was overjoyed and bowed again.
Emperor Ye nodded to Dylan Lethe, then turned to Kenhaven Sovereign, who was watching nearby. "You've lived a long time, and yet you bully two juniors. Where's your dignity?"
Kenhaven Sovereign shook his head speechlessly. "I've been away too long. The universe now has so many peerless powerhouses—has cultivation turned into boasting? Heh..."
Emperor Ye had appeared without a sound, startling Kenhaven Sovereign. He quickly realized it must have something to do with Emperor Ye's cultivation technique, which seemed attuned to all things. Even though this was his territory, his own strength hadn't recovered, and his spiritual sea was damaged. Emperor Ye's ability to arrive unnoticed was understandable.
When Emperor Ye claimed Joe Di was even stronger, Kenhaven Sovereign nearly laughed aloud. If there were so many powerhouses in the vast cosmos, would it still be his turn to reign?
Emperor Ye didn't even summon Zixiao; he simply threw a punch.
Even without using a treasure, the force of Emperor Ye's punch instantly birthed a new world within the cosmic space.
This punch didn't alter any of the cosmic rules, yet everything within this space was revealed in absolute clarity under its power.
Kenhaven Sovereign felt utterly exposed, as if he stood naked before Emperor Ye. His face changed drastically; he dared not be careless. This single punch could erase his soul into nothingness.
This wasn't just strength—it was strength beyond reason. Not only now, but even at his peak, Kenhaven Sovereign might not have been stronger than Emperor Ye...
There was no time to summon a treasure. Kenhaven Sovereign launched a punch of his own. Luckily, this was his territory—even though Emperor Ye's punch had swept away all the cosmic essence, Kenhaven could still find breathing room to strike back.

Boom!
Crack! A mist of pale red blood burst forth, flesh turning to fragments that scattered in the air. Kenhaven Sovereign split apart from his arm to his chest, then his entire body dissolved into bloody debris.
Dylan Lethe and Leon Starfield stared in shock at the center of the battle's vortex. Just one punch—one punch had shattered the mighty Kenhaven Sovereign into fragments. How strong was that?
"Huh!" Emperor Ye exclaimed in surprise. As he did, Kenhaven Sovereign's form recondensed, appearing three zhang away from Emperor Ye. The difference was, this time Kenhaven's face was pale.
"You've already reached the strength of the Fourth Step?" Kenhaven Sovereign stared at Emperor Ye in shock. Emperor Ye's power now surpassed what Kenhaven once possessed.
At their level, even a casual punch was an ultimate divine technique. Every blow was a manifestation of their Grand Dao, displaying its full power. Emperor Ye's punch shattered Kenhaven Sovereign's body, but it didn't mean the gap between them was that vast.
Emperor Ye said calmly, "I'm still far from the Fourth Step. That punch didn't kill you—you did well. But I still intend to kill you."
Kenhaven Sovereign gave a bitter smile. "Maybe I've been sealed away too long. I didn't realize how much the cosmos has changed, how many powerhouses have emerged. If you kill me now, I accept it. But I don't think you should. First, Dylan Lethe and Leon Starfield wouldn't have succeeded in their Dao fusion so quickly if they hadn't cultivated on my territory. Second, I did plan to use them, but never intended to kill them."
"That's true, Father," Leon Starfield quickly added. He and Dylan Lethe could never have succeeded in Dao fusion so quickly if not for cultivating here.
Feeling Emperor Ye's killing intent had eased, Kenhaven Sovereign hurried to add, "I'm seriously injured, and you just shattered my condensed body with a punch. I pose no threat to you. Besides, your greatest threat now is the one about to step into the Fourth Step..."
"You mean Chi Yao?" Emperor Ye asked instinctively.
"Chi Yao?" Kenhaven Sovereign exclaimed in surprise. In his mind, Xiang Chenchen had a greater chance of reaching the Fourth Step than Chi Yao.
