When Elena Rainveil opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was Evan Chu, and she felt so overwhelmed she almost couldn't believe it was real. Choking up, she said, "Evan, is that you? Is it really you?"
"It's me. Elena, you've suffered so much—I'll make sure you get justice! How are you feeling now?" Evan Chu asked.
"I feel much better now. You must have given me your Primordial Dragon Blood, right? But it still won't work—at most, Primordial Dragon Blood can keep me alive for ten days. After that, I'll die all the same. Still, just being able to see you one last time, I'm already content." Elena Rainveil said.
Evan Chu suddenly felt unsettled. He remembered that Primordial Dragon Blood was supposed to cure any poison, so why did Elena say it could only keep her alive for ten days? He found this very strange.
Seeing the doubt on Evan's face, Elena guessed what he was thinking. "Evan, I know what's on your mind. This isn't any ordinary poison. If it were, it couldn't hurt me—even with my strength, I could easily force it out. But this poison can't be expelled, and I can't even use Divine Power anymore.
Don't get too hung up on it. This is fate, and I don't regret anything, so you shouldn't grieve. Just promise me you'll look after our daughter, Kelly Qin, and when you're strong enough, avenge me—tear that wretched Tia Thorn to pieces and offer her head at my grave."
"What are you saying? How could I ever let you die? If even Dragon Blood can't cure your poison, then what can? Don't tell me this Peerless Doom Poison really can't be cured?" Evan Chu said angrily, already sentencing Poison Maiden Tia Thorn to a miserable death in his heart.
"There's only one way to cure Peerless Doom Poison: you need the blood of three mythical beasts—Primordial Dragon Blood, Divine Phoenix Blood, and Divine Roc Blood. Each one buys you ten days of life. Right now, I've drunk your blood, so I get ten days. If I drink another, that's ten more. When I've had all three, the Peerless Doom Poison will be completely purged." Elena Rainveil explained.
Evan Chu had been deeply worried, but after hearing Elena's words, his anxiety turned to hope. "Those three bloodlines are almost impossible for most people, but for me, it shouldn't be that hard. I'll go find Old Goldwing first—he's a Golden-Winged Roc, and once he ascends to the God Realm, he'll be a Divine Roc. I never thought his blood would turn out to be a life-saving medicine."
"Actually, I've already tried searching for Shadow and Old Goldwing, just like you said, but I came up empty. Still, I'm sure they're out there in the frontier lands. They don't have enough God-Stones to cultivate, so their progress is slow—they couldn't have gone far. Maybe you'll have better luck." Elena told Evan about her search for Old Goldwing.
Evan Chu was stunned for a moment, then immediately said, "Big Bro is way faster than me. Here's the plan: Elena and I will enter the Timewheel Bracelet, and you take us to the frontier lands she mentioned. I'm sure we'll find them soon enough."
"Then let's set out now. The sooner we find Divine Roc Blood, the less risk for Elena. Besides, searching for people always takes time," Blue-Shade God-Venerable replied.
"Wait a sec, let me grab my little brothers first—they might be able to help on the way!" Evan Chu said, then flashed into the earth.
Seeing Evan Chu disappear, Blue-Shade God-Venerable turned to Elena and said, "He can actually dive into the earth—who would've thought? I hope you make it through this alive."
Elena Rainveil checked her own condition with inner sight and said, "Whether I can survive or not is still uncertain. Just getting to see him again is enough for me. Life and death are up to fate—some things can't be forced. If I do make it, I'll cherish every moment even more."
Blue-Shade glanced at Elena Rainveil and saw her once-stunning face now haggard, with a strange black aura between her brows. "Elena, once you're healed, I'll help you destroy Skysoar Sect and Drifting Cloud Guild—especially Tia Thorn. She won't get away so easily."
As the two spoke, Evan Chu had already arrived before the four Divine Beasts. In the special underground space, nearly half the Violet Cloud Crystal had been excavated, though the mine core was still hidden. Evan knew for sure there was a mine core here—it would be found eventually.
When Evan Chu appeared, the four Divine Beasts immediately took human form. Fire Dragon was first to speak: "Young Master, aren't we awesome? We've dug up tons of Violet Cloud Crystal this time, but that mine core you mentioned still hasn't shown up."
"No rush on that. There's something more urgent—your sister-in-law has been poisoned by a rare and deadly toxin and needs help. We're leaving now, and once she's recovered, we'll come back to dig. Everyone, get into the Timewheel Bracelet!" Evan Chu ordered seriously.
The four Divine Beasts were all shocked. They wanted to ask what kind of poison Elena Rainveil had encountered, but before they could, a powerful force from the Blood Oath contract pulled them into the Timewheel Bracelet. That was the benefit of the Blood Oath—Evan Chu could move them at will.
Afterward, Evan Chu quickly appeared before Blue-Shade God-Venerable and Elena Rainveil. "Big Bro, I'm counting on you this time. We don't have much time—let's get moving!"
"Don't worry, Evan. I'll get us to the frontier lands Elena mentioned as fast as possible. You two get into the Timewheel Bracelet!" Blue-Shade God-Venerable said.
Evan Chu took Elena Rainveil into the Timewheel Bracelet, while Blue-Shade God-Venerable put the bracelet into his own storage ring, broke through the mine's barrier, and vanished into the sky as a streak of residual shadow.
Elena Rainveil was still very weak, but no longer in danger—Primordial Dragon Blood had done its work. Seeing the abundant Divine Energy inside the Timewheel Bracelet, she was shocked; it was far stronger than anything in her own secluded chambers.
And with such beautiful scenery and no one to disturb them, it was the perfect place for seclusion and cultivation. Elena couldn't help but marvel, "Evan, this place is like a paradise. Even if I die, I'd want to die here—I'd have no regrets being buried in this world."
"Why do you keep talking about dying? As long as I'm here, I won't let you die. Don't forget, you're the mistress of Rainbow Court—what would happen to Rainbow Court if you died? Have you thought about Kelly Qin's feelings? Just have faith; everything will work out." Evan Chu said.
Then the two of them found a spot with mountains and a waterfall and sat down. Elena Rainveil leaned against Evan Chu's chest, maybe too exhausted, and unknowingly fell asleep. Evan, however, couldn't relax; his mind was still worrying about Roxanne Lin...
