Everyone looked surprised, their eyes fixed on Evan Lin standing over there.
The strength of this Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent was way beyond their imagination. Even with so many Pointing-to-Mystery Realm experts present, in front of this Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent, they were nothing but ants.
In the distance, the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent's eyes flashed ghostly blue light, flickering unpredictably. Its tongue flicked in and out, and its body twisted restlessly, clearly uneasy.
Evan Lin frowned. He was sure the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent hadn’t stopped because of the Left-Hand Dragon. The Left-Hand Dragon had been asleep all along. If the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent really feared it, it wouldn’t have charged down in the first place.
Before Evan could think much more, everyone suddenly saw a blazing Scarlet Flame Python shoot out at incredible speed from Evan’s direction, heading straight for the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent.
“Scarlet Flame Python?”
Seeing the Scarlet Flame Python rush out, Evan was momentarily stunned.
Ever since whatever mysterious exchange happened between the Left-Hand Dragon and the Scarlet Flame Python, the python had mostly stayed silent, except for a few times when it burst out of Evan’s body to collect the remains of Pointing-to-Mystery Realm experts.
Even when Evan tried to summon it, the Scarlet Flame Python wouldn’t obey him, acting like it was in deep seclusion. He never expected it to appear now, after so long.
“What is that?”
Jiang He and the others couldn’t even see what that streak of fire really was. The Scarlet Flame Python was small now, and its body was wrapped in blazing flames. No one’s gaze could pierce through the fire to see its true form.
Only Evan Lin could clearly see it: the once tiny Scarlet Flame Python now had four little legs growing from its belly, and bumps on its forehead. Its small body radiated a powerful aura.
“Did the Scarlet Flame Python really refine all those Pointing-to-Mystery Realm corpses?”
Evan’s mind stirred. He’d suspected the Scarlet Flame Python was collecting corpses to refine them, but now that his guess was confirmed, he was still surprised.
You had to know, the Scarlet Flame Python was originally just an old fire python from Medicine King Valley. Evan later subdued it and refined it into the artifact spirit of his Scarlet Flame Command.
Artifact spirits aren’t supposed to have physical bodies, but now the Scarlet Flame Python had not only forged a python’s form—it was showing signs of evolving into a flood dragon!
“Is all this really just from the Left-Hand Dragon’s enlightenment?”
Evan glanced at his left hand. The Left-Hand Dragon was still sleeping there, seemingly oblivious to everything around it.
Just thinking about it felt unbelievable. Normally, for a snake or python to transform into a flood dragon, it’d take hundreds or even thousands of years of cultivation.
But this Scarlet Flame Python gained such power from just a touch of the Left-Hand Dragon’s enlightenment. The Left-Hand Dragon’s strength and origin were becoming more and more unfathomable to Evan.
The Scarlet Flame Python floated forward. Its body was only about three inches long, and in front of the massive Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent, it looked like a tiny bug.

The Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent stared coldly at the Scarlet Flame Python, clearly wary. Its body arched and it started retreating.

Seeing this, Qin Qifan and the others' expressions changed. They never expected such a tiny creature could force the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent to back off.
Even harder to accept, the little insect-like thing in the air saw the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent trying to escape and immediately got anxious, speeding up to chase after it!
"That thing must be another demon beast from the Mysterious Ruins!"
"Let's go! We shouldn't stay here—what if the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent comes back?"
"Let's go! We shouldn't stay here—what if the giant serpent comes back?"
Yvette Ye finished speaking and quickly moved to Evan's side. Everyone sped up, running forward. The cowherd boy ahead, who had been standing upright and staring blankly at the scene, now lay back down on the yellow ox as Evan and the others rushed toward him.
The old yellow ox seemed to be following some command, charging forward with all its might.
After running several kilometers, terrifying auras and fierce roars echoed behind them. Even from far away, when everyone looked back, they could vaguely make out the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent’s pitch-black silhouette.

But unlike before, now the sky above the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent’s territory was completely ablaze, waves of fire raging everywhere.

Qin Qifan was still shaken.
Jiang He, Yvette Ye, and the others just felt exhausted and silent.
Their goal had been to find Mitch Mi and his team, but now it seemed clear they’d already been devoured by the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent.
“What do we do now? It’s like we don’t even know how to get out.”
Someone asked. The way they came was behind them, but the scenery had completely changed. Even without the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent blocking the road, finding their original path would be extremely difficult.
"Keep moving forward. Just keep going."
Qin Qifan took a deep breath. "The Mysterious Ruins are unpredictable. If you want to get out, just keep heading forward. Eventually, an exit gate will appear."
"Every time we’ve left the Mysterious Ruins before, it’s been the same. The gate always just shows up out of nowhere."
He put away his detector. What he'd just detected was probably the corpses of Mitch Mi and his team, buried in the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent’s belly. Facing a beast like that, there was no chance of survival.
Evan Lin kept his gaze fixed behind him, watching as the Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent was engulfed in flames, fire wrapping around its entire body.

What he saw was the tiny Scarlet Flame Python, suddenly opening its jaws wide.
With its three-foot-long body, it somehow stretched its mouth a hundred meters high and swallowed the flame-wrapped Three-Headed Abyssal Serpent whole!
