Ghost Burial Squad

I sat beside John Chou, glaring at him.

"What's wrong? Bro, are you missing me already?"

"Pfft, honestly, you feel like the worst of the Sevenfold Ghost Sovereigns."

Just as I said that, Yuna Ji immediately started clapping her hands.

"Ethan, you finally see John Chou's true colors? He's rotten to the core, you know."

"Shut up, you wretch."

"John Chou, now that I think about it, wasn't it you who got us Sevenfold Ghost Sovereigns fighting for no reason?"

As Redmond spoke, the other six Ghost Sovereigns all turned to look at John Chou, who burst out laughing.

"Me? You must be remembering it wrong."

"Lord Shenyan, it was John Chou back then who made me deliver that message to you personally." Basil Bertram said. Suddenly, Lord Shenyan looked up at John Chou, not with anger, but with sadness in his eyes.

I started to feel strange, and then everyone else began talking over each other, recalling the events of those years. The other six, when confronted, all turned to look at John Chou.

"Everyone, let's eat and drink, haha. Let's not bring up those unpleasant things anymore. Back then, it was my fault. I'm admitting it to all of you now, isn't that enough?"

"Sigh, forget it, John Chou, it's been hundreds of years already. Let's eat, let's eat."

Soon, a huge table of dishes was brought up, but I was dumbfounded—they were all for ghosts. What am I supposed to eat?

"By the way, Redmond, I heard you became one of the Eleven Yama Kings. The Underworld Court actually acknowledged you?"

Yvonne May asked, Redmond took a sip of wine and smiled.

"It's not bad. At least now, I don't have to stay on edge every day, wondering how to confront the Ten Yama Kings."

"I don't think so, Redmond. You'd better be careful. After all, the seven of us stirred up a lot of trouble. The Underworld Court might just be stalling for time."

Basil Bertram said this, and Redmond was momentarily stunned.

"Got it, Basil Bertram. Now let's talk about you—always chasing celebrities, always going to concerts. Tsk, you're letting your hobbies ruin you."

"No, no, that's not it, sir. I know I was wrong, but Ethan Zhang's ghost ended up in the ghost realm. I just want to go to the entrance and contact my men—I’ll be right back."

I quickly explained everything to Yvonne May's subordinate, and he didn't stop me anymore. I followed Gus Sage and went downstairs.

On every floor, the ghosts were working hard to clean. After descending two floors, I started to sense that something was wrong.

"You're not lying to me, are you?"

"How would I dare? Haha."

"Forget it, I'd better have one of Yvonne May's men come down with me." I said, turning around to call out.

Suddenly, Gus Sage was enveloped in a burst of green light and, without another word, slipped away into the floor.

"Damn, Gus Sage ran off!" I shouted, rushing down the stairs, following the steps.

Then, Yvonne May's subordinate searched everywhere, but couldn't find any trace of Gus Sage.

Frustrated, I sat on the first floor. My cousin finally woke up, looked at me, and sighed.
