Ex-Girlfriend

The next day, Ian Song called his five roommates together for a quick meeting in his dorm room. This time, Jason Long was included.

"I've decided—today we're going to clear out the zombies in the women's dorms!" Ian announced, getting straight to the point.

Since the zombie outbreak started at night and it's only been three days since, most of the zombies at South China University are still concentrated in the dormitory area.

There are eleven men's dorm buildings. During the cleanup, Ian killed nearly six or seven thousand zombies. But there are fifteen women's dorm buildings, and clearing all the zombies there will take at least four days.

"How do you plan to arrange things?" Kevin Zhou asked.

"You and Jimmy Zhu will stay behind with your squads. I'll take the other three teams to the women's dorms," Ian explained his decision.

"I have a suggestion!" Ray Wang interjected.

"Go ahead."

Ray said, "We're running low on food—at best, we've got two days' worth. I suggest we hit the campus supermarket or cafeteria before heading to the women's dorms and bring back some supplies!"

Hearing this, Ian fell into thought.

After a moment, Ian said, "Alright, I'll take someone to check out the nearest cafeteria first. If it's suitable, we'll move everyone there—it'll be much easier for cooking and food storage!"

"Makes sense!"

The other five nodded in agreement. For the past two days, everyone had been living on bread, biscuits, and instant noodles. The cafeteria definitely had plenty of rice, flour, and maybe even vegetables and meat.

It had only been three days without meat, but just thinking about it made everyone start to drool.

"I'll go to the cafeteria with Jason Long. The rest of you can just wait here!"

The nearest cafeteria was about a thousand meters from the men's dorms, and they'd have to pass by an experimental building on the way.

Now that Jason Long had reached Dark Strength, even all five of the others together might not be a match for him. That was why Ian only brought him.

Along the way, the two ran into quite a few wandering zombies.

But Ian didn't even need to lift a finger—Jason handled them all.

Between students and staff, South China University had more than twenty thousand people, so there were plenty of cafeterias—nine in total.

The cafeteria they were heading to had three floors and could seat up to two thousand people at once. If they took control of it, they'd have enough food for at least a month.

As they passed the experimental building, Ian instinctively activated his Clairvoyant Vision and scanned the whole place. He found more than ten living students in one classroom—and, of course, plenty of zombies, at least a hundred or so.

Still, Ian didn't plan to rescue those students just yet. He'd deal with the cafeteria first.

The cafeteria's entrance was made of two glass doors.

Right now, both glass doors had been smashed to pieces—nothing left but shards.

Ian swept the whole cafeteria with his Clairvoyant Vision. On the third floor, he found more than twenty students trapped inside; the second and first floors had over three hundred zombies roaming about.

Their footsteps had already drawn the attention of the zombies on the first floor. The ones that had been wandering aimlessly now started heading their way.

"Let's do this!"

Ian said to Jason Long. With a flick of his wrists, a dozen coins shot out like silver bullets, blasting open the skulls of the zombies in front.

Then he pulled out a steel pipe from his waist and charged into the zombie horde.

"Splat, splat, splat!"

The sound of skulls bursting echoed through the hall as zombies dropped in waves.

"Damn, boss is way too fierce!"

Seeing this, Jason Long wasn't about to be left behind—he charged in after Ian, diving into the zombie horde. He couldn't take out a zombie with every swing like Ian, but his kill rate was still impressive.

In less than two minutes, the pair had wiped out all hundred-plus zombies on the first floor.

Of course, Ian had handled ninety percent of them himself.

"I'll leave collecting Evolution Crystals to you. I'm heading upstairs to deal with the second floor zombies!"

With a quick word to Jason Long, Ian dashed straight for the second floor.

While Ian and Jason were clearing out the first floor, the twenty-plus students on the third floor heard the commotion and poked their heads out the windows, craning their necks to see what was happening. Unfortunately, with a whole floor in between, they couldn't see a thing no matter how far they stretched.

"Look, someone's coming up!"

A girl pointed at Ian Song as he walked up to the second floor, her voice filled with excitement.

"Is someone here to rescue us?" another girl, her head sticking out the window, exclaimed.

But after staring at Ian's back for a while, they didn't see anyone else and couldn't help but look disappointed.

"Why is there only one person?"

"Hey, Qianqian, look—isn't that Ian Song?"

Suddenly, a girl leaning out the window waved to another, who was sitting at a table in ultra-short denim shorts, her figure turning heads.

Hearing Ian Song's name, Cindy Ma's expression flickered. But she glanced at the chubby boy sitting across from her—Eric Guo, a rich kid. Back when Ian and Eric both pursued Cindy, she chose Ian.

But after less than half a year together, Cindy realized Ian was selfish and stingy. Aside from a cheap purse and a bouquet of roses he gave her while chasing her, he never bought her anything else. Even when they went to motels, most of the time, she paid.

Eric Guo, on the other hand, kept pursuing her even after she started dating Ian, showering her with expensive gifts every so often.

After comparing the two, Cindy finally dumped Ian after six months and ended up with Eric.

"Let's go check it out!"

Eric Guo said calmly, taking the lead toward the window. His eyes, though, flashed coldly.

After a brief hesitation, Cindy Ma joined him at the window.

By now, Ian Song was already charging into the zombie horde, steel pipe in hand.

"Splat, splat, splat!"

One by one, zombies' heads exploded under his steel pipe, leaving the students upstairs utterly stunned.

"Holy crap! That's insane—it's like he's possessed by the God of War!" After a long moment, a male student couldn't help but exclaim.

The girl who'd called Cindy Ma over gave her a meaningful look—if Cindy had known Ian was this fierce, would she have broken up with him?

Eric Guo, meanwhile, looked especially grim.

He knew just how vicious zombies could be. But now, Ian was killing them as easily as squashing ants. If Ian wanted revenge, what could Eric possibly do to stop him? Besides, after stealing Cindy away, Eric had gone out of his way to provoke Ian more than once.
